The University of Canberra's Research Festival 2024 was held across November at locations around the city and on our beautiful Bruce campus. It included over 20 events and activities that focused on sharing the impact of UC research on people and place in ways that show research in real life.
The Festival saw the launch of Life of a CBRn, a timeline outlining examples of our research that has impacted Canberrans across the lifetime, with a physical installation at the Canberra Centre. The digital timeline can be explored at lifeofacbrn.com.au.
University of Canberra’s Research Festival first launched in 2022 as a university-wide event, aimed at celebrating, reconnecting and reenergising UC’s research community following two years of restricted research during the COVID-19 pandemic. It included research showcases, workshops, tours, pitch competitions, networking and social activities, and public lectures.
It has since been held in 2023 and 2024, with a focus on sharing UC research with our community.
Life of a CBRn is a timeline of a Canberran’s life and how UC research has interacted or impacted them across different life stages.
A physical installation and pop-up space for the Life of a CBRn initiative was displayed in the Canberra Centre between 1 and 28 November for Research Festival 2024 and the launch of the project.
The digital Life of a CBRn URL experience is available online at lifeofacbrn.com.au.
