Situated in the heart of Europe, Brussels is the capital of Belgium. VUB campuses are located around Brussels, enabling students to enjoy the energy of a capital city on the one hand and to appreciate the quietness of the green and compact campuses on the other hand. The city is the political epicentre of the European Union and home to EU headquarters. The main campus is located in Etterbeek easily accessible through Etterbeek train station. This is the largest campus of all and offers non-medical training courses. Here, students are provided alot of facilities such as budget-friendly food in the cafeteria and restaurants, Sports facilities like a basic fitness centre, swimming pool, athletics track, martial arts hall and many more. Sports infrastructure covers a total area of 10,000 m2.
Vrije Universiteit Brussel health campus is located in Jette, beside the University Hospital. The campus is home to the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, and part of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy. The campus is located at the center of Brussels and the address is Laarbeeklaan 103, 1090 Brussels (Jette), which is easily accessible by a car or a bike or bus or public transport. Here, the campus allows the students to stay fit both physically as well as mentally. Students are also provided with a library offering reference works, practice materials and a reading room with study areas.
VUB Photonics Campus, located in Gooik is home to Photonics Research and Innovation Centre. The campus covers a total area of 3000m2. Campus Coovi Anderlecht offers educational master's programme and is located near the COOVI metro station and the Brussels ring road. There are modern classrooms, high-tech laboratories, audio-visual labs, computer labs, and seminar halls on the campuses. The university also promotes cross-disciplinary participation in these extracurricular activities.
