Listed below are the rules and regulations issued by the coordinating body that test takers must abide by. Failing to do so will hamper the candidate’s future candidature.

Reach the examination center 1 hour before the commencement of the exam.
Since test-takers will not be allowed to appear in the exam unless they clear the thumbprint or finger scanning, it is advised that one should avoid putting any mehndi or cosmetic color on their hands.
Entry into the examination hall will be allowed 30 minutes before the examination.
It is advised to take your respective seats 15 minutes prior to the exam to get all the instructions from the invigilator.
Candidates not carrying a copy of the admit card will be prohibited from entering the exam hall.
Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination center before the conclusion of IBSAT 2025 exam.
No extra sheets, pages, rough sheets will be allowed with the candidate in the examination hall.
Parents, relatives, and friends will not be allowed inside the examination center.
Any conversation or misbehavior in the examination hall will lead to the cancellation of the exam.

Documents Required at IBSAT 2025 Exam Center

Candidates are required to carry a few documents at the time of the IBSAT 2025 exam. Mentioned below are mandatory documents that a candidate needs to produce at the time of exam, failing which you will not be given entry to the examination center.

Candidates must bring a printed copy of the IBSAT Admit Card on exam day. One should not forget to bring their admit card to the exam center of IBSAT 2025.
Candidates should carry a valid ID proof along with the admit card to the exam center. It could be any document from the list given below:

ISBAT 2025 Selection Process

Candidates qualifying the examination will be called for further selection rounds viz. Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
These rounds will be conducted by ICFAI and other affiliated management institutes.
On the basis of scores obtained in all three selection rounds, a final merit list will be prepared.

Ques. Does IBS accept CAT Score?

Ans. There are candidates who are exempted from taking IBSAT. They are directly called upon for IBSAT Group Discussion and Personal Interview. In order to avail of this facility, candidates must have a valid score in any of the following exams:

Ques. How can I get a seat in IBS Hyderabad?

Ans. As per the conducting body, there is no defined IBSAT Seat Allotment policy for any category. There are no fixed norms followed for IBSAT Seat Allotment.

Aggregate marks requirement for every category is similar, hence even reserved category candidates must secure the same marks as general category candidates.
The minimum marks required to appear for IBSAT 2025 is 50% for MBA / PGPM Program
The application fee of INR 1800 is also the same for all categories. There is no relaxation in the application fee for SC, ST, or OBC categories.

VERBAL ABILITY: This section carries the highest number of questions in IBSAT. The verbal ability section of IBSAT checks the English language ability of the candidate; which includes topics such as idioms and phases, synonyms and antonyms, cloze test, one word substitution, fill in the blanks, error detection, parajumbles and word analogy. The verbal ability section in IBSAT 2020 was easy to moderate but there were few tricky questions in this section as well.
DATA INTERPRETATION AND DATA SUFFICIENCY: Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency checks candidates Data adequacy and logical thinking skills. This section covers pie graph, line graph, percentage chart, tables and percentage between two values. The difficulty level of this section is moderate except for a few tricky questions.
QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE: Quantitative Aptitude section includes Average, LCM and HCF, Ratio and proportion, Time and work, Profit and Loss, Equations, Mensuration, series, polynomial, sets, geometry, functions, Time and speed, percentage, Algebra, Simple Interest and Compound Interest.Quantitative Aptitude section of IBSAT consists of 30 questions and candidates get approximately 1 minute for each question and it becomes a task to solve the questions within the allotted time limit as the section includes heavy calculations, formulae and theorems. IBSAT 2020 Quantitative Aptitude section was a little bit difficult but candidates who have practised enough must have performed well.
READING COMPREHENSION: The reading comprehension section of IBSAT 2020 included 4passages each passage containing 500-700 words and there are a total 30questions. IBSAT 2019 Paper Analysis

VERBAL ABILITY: The Verbal ability section included majorly two sections: grammar and vocabulary. The section was dominated by vocabulary whose difficulty level was from easy to moderate. The grammar questions were comparatively easier than the vocabulary questions.

Overall the difficulty level of the verbal ability section was moderate to easy. 30-35 questions in 30 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.

READING COMPREHENSION: The reading comprehension section consisted of 30 questions from 4 passages; each passage consisted of 500-700 words. The reading comprehension section was easy as it mostly consisted of direct and factual questions except few inference based questions.

24-30 questions in 30 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE: The section was dominated by algebra which included heavy calculations, but the difficulty level of the quantitative aptitude was moderate.

21-25 questions in 30 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.

DATA INTERPRETATION AND DATA SUFFICIENCY: This section consists of equal number of Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. The overall difficulty level was moderate. 21-24 questions in 25 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.

VERBAL ABILITY: The verbal ability section consists of roughly 5-7 types of questions. The difficulty level of the questions were moderate and 35-38 questions in 25 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.

Before IBSAT 2025 selection process starts, IBS conducts selection briefings in several cities across the country.

In this round, candidates are divided into groups of 8-10 (depending on the committee) and each group is given a topic discuss among themselves for 15-20 minutes.
Other than current affairs, candidates should read newspapers and business magazines daily and also practice some common topics which help the candidate to clear the group discussion round.

On completion of IBSAT 2025 selection procedure, authorities will release the final merit list of selected candidates. Based on the candidate's overall performance in GD, PI and academics, the concerned IBS will declare the final result tentatively in the month of March 2025. Details related to the preparation of the merit list are given in the following table.

Change of Date in Selection Process for IBSAT 2025

In case a candidate is unable to attend the selection process on the date allotted to him/her, the given procedure must be followed:

Candidate must confirm the date allotted to him/her online.
After online confirmation, candidates must send a request via mail to change the date by giving 3 alternate dates as specified by the institute.
Mail must be sent to ibsat@ibsindia.rg
One date will be finalized and communicated to the candidate depending on availability of vacancies.
