Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate maritime programmes are open to candidates who have passed class 12 with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognised board, along with the required standard of English, and postgraduate programmes require a relevant recognised bachelor's degree. Candidates for seafaring courses must meet the medical and visual standards prescribed by the Directorate General of Shipping, including eyesight and colour vision requirements. Nationality conditions apply for some courses. The minimum marks in the qualifying examination, the upper age limit where one is prescribed, category relaxations and the detailed medical standards are all specified in the university's official notification, and candidates should read that document before applying rather than relying on figures quoted elsewhere.
