Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test Counselling 2027

IPMAT 2026 Counselling is the final admission stage for the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) conducted by IIM Indore. As of July 29, 2026, the IPMAT 2026 result has been declared and Personal Interview (PI) rounds have concluded; the final merit list is expected in the first week of August 2026.

PwD reservation is horizontal: a PwD student is first ranked within their own category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, or EWS) based on composite merit score, and then counted against the 5% PwD sub-quota within that category. If your category certificate is expired, in the wrong format, or issued by an incompetent authority, you will be treated as a General category student for seat allotment purposes.

How to Apply for IPMAT Counselling 2026?

IPMAT 2026 counselling does not use a separate counselling portal. The entire admission process — from exam registration to final seat confirmation — is managed through IIM Indore’s official admission portal at iimidr.ac.in. Students who cleared the IPMAT 2026 sectional cutoffs were automatically shortlisted for the PI stage; no separate registration for PI was required.

Students targeting IPM programmes at IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, or IIM Sirmaur must submit separate applications on each institute’s official website — there is no shared application portal. Step 1: Online Registration and Application

Registration for IPMAT 2026 opened in January 2026 on the IIM Indore website. When IIM Indore sends you an admission offer for the IPM 2026 programme, follow the steps below to confirm your seat. Missing the acceptance deadline permanently forfeits your seat in the 2026 batch — there is no grace period or appeal process for late acceptances.

Step 1: Check Your Email and Admission Portal

• IIM Indore sends the offer letter to your registered email ID immediately after the merit list is finalised.
• Log in to the admission portal at iimidr.ac.in using your original application credentials.
• The portal dashboard will display your offer status and the acceptance deadline prominently.

Step 2: Review Your Offer Details

• Confirm the programme name, category under which the seat is offered, and the exact acceptance deadline.

How Much Money is Needed for IPMAT Counselling 2026?

IPMAT 2026 admission-related expenses fall into two broad categories: fees paid to complete the admission process (non-refundable or partially refundable) and programme fees payable after joining. The total five-year programme cost at IIM Indore is significant — plan your finances and, if required, begin the educational loan process early, since loan disbursements at most banks take four to six weeks from application.

Note: If you withdraw after accepting a seat, the seat acceptance fee is not refunded. IIM-Wise IPM Seat Allotment 2026

The IPMAT score (IIM Indore) is accepted by IIM Indore and several other IIMs for their five-year IPM programmes. Each institution runs a completely independent admission process. Applying to one institute does not enrol you in another — you must submit a separate application form and pay the relevant application fee for each institute you want to be considered at.

Non-IIM institutions — including IIFT Kakinada, NALSAR University of Law (Hyderabad), TAPMI Manipal, Nirma University (Ahmedabad), Krea University / IFMR (Sri City), and Alliance University (Bengaluru) — also accept IPMAT (IIM Indore) scores. Waitlist and Withdrawal: What Are Your Options?

IPMAT admission at IIM Indore does not use a multi-round upgrade / freeze / float system like JoSAA. There is one merit list, and students are offered seats in rank order within each category. Waitlist movement occurs when students in the main list decline their offers or miss the acceptance deadline. Understanding these dynamics helps you make informed decisions, especially if you receive offers from multiple institutions simultaneously.

If You Receive a Direct Admission Offer (Main Merit List):

• Once you accept, your seat at IIM Indore is confirmed. You may still apply to other IIMs accepting IPMAT scores through their separate portals, but you must ultimately enrol at only one institute.

If You Are on the Waitlist:

• Students ranked below the initial offer cutoff are placed on a waitlist; movement is triggered each time a main-list student declines their offer or misses the acceptance deadline.
• IIM Indore communicates waitlist offers individually by email — there is no public dashboard showing your waitlist rank or movement status.
• Apply to IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, and IIM Sirmaur in parallel while waiting — their separate admission timelines may allow you to secure a seat there before IIM Indore’s waitlist resolves. The difference between these IIMs lies not just in geography but in programme culture, faculty strength, and infrastructure — research each before applying.

If You Decide to Withdraw After Accepting:

• Notify IIM Indore through the official admission portal and by email to the admissions office — prompt notification releases your seat for the next waitlisted student.
• The seat acceptance fee is generally forfeited after acceptance. Tuition fee refunds (if advance tuition has been paid) follow IIM Indore’s published refund schedule.
• Withdrawing from IIM Indore does not affect your standing or offer at any other IIM — each admission is fully independent.
