Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test Counselling 2027
Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test Counselling
IPMAT 2026 Counselling is the final admission stage for the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) conducted by IIM Indore. As of July 29, 2026, the IPMAT 2026 result has been declared and Personal Interview (PI) rounds have concluded; the final merit list is expected in the first week of August 2026.
- IIM Indore declared the IPMAT 2026 result on May 25, 2026; WAT and PI rounds were held in July 2026.
- The final merit list combines 65% IPMAT Aptitude Test Score and 35% Personal Interview (PI) score.
- IIM Indore offers 150 seats in the IPM 2026 batch; additional seats are available at IIM Amritsar, Ranchi, Shillong, and Sirmaur through separate applications.
- Minimum 60% marks in Class 10 and 12 are required for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS students (55% for SC, ST, and PwD students).
- Reservation norms follow Government of India policy: OBC-NCL 27%, SC 15%, ST 7.5%, EWS 10%, and PwD 5% horizontal.
What is IPMAT Counselling 2026?
IPMAT 2026 Counselling is the institute-led admission process that converts your aptitude test performance into a confirmed seat in the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore and other participating IIMs. Unlike centralized counselling systems such as JoSAA, IPMAT does not use a single national portal. IIM Indore independently manages the full admission cycle for its IPM programme, while other IIMs accepting IPMAT scores run their own separate admission processes.
The process begins with the IPMAT aptitude test (held in May) and moves through Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interviews before culminating in a merit-based final list. Completing every stage of the process is mandatory — your IPMAT score alone does not guarantee a seat at IIM Indore. Students who clear the sectional cutoffs are shortlisted for PI; those who do not complete the PI stage are not considered for admission, regardless of their raw score.
IIM Rohtak conducts its own separate IPMAT exam and admission process and is not part of IIM Indore’s cycle. IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya admit students through JIPMAT, conducted separately by NTA. This article focuses on the admission process for IPMAT conducted by IIM Indore, the primary and most widely recognised version of the test.

IPMAT Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2026
Students must satisfy all eligibility criteria before being considered for an IPMAT 2026 admission offer. Meeting the exam sectional cutoffs for PI shortlisting does not waive the academic requirements below; these are verified at the document verification stage.
- Class 10 Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS students; minimum 55% aggregate for SC, ST, and PwD students. All subjects are included in the aggregate calculation as per the board’s convention.
- Class 12 Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS students; minimum 55% aggregate for SC, ST, and PwD students. The aggregate is computed across all subjects shown in the mark sheet.
- Mathematics as Compulsory Subject: Mathematics or Applied Mathematics must have been a compulsory subject in Class XI and XII. Students without Mathematics in Class 12 are not eligible, regardless of their aggregate percentage or IPMAT score.
- Age Limit: Not more than 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026, for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS students. SC, ST, and PwD students are eligible up to 25 years of age as of July 31, 2026 (5-year relaxation applies).
- Appearing Students: Students in Class 12 at the time of the IPMAT exam were eligible to apply; however, they must produce the final mark sheet meeting the required aggregate at the time of document verification. If the final mark sheet does not meet the minimum percentage, the admission offer is cancelled.
- Nationality: Indian nationals may apply for the 150 domestic seats. Foreign nationals are considered for 5 supernumerary seats through a separate application process.
Students who qualify the PI stage but do not meet the academic eligibility criteria will not receive an admission offer, regardless of their composite score. Produce original mark sheets and certificates at the time of document verification — discrepancies discovered after joining the programme may lead to cancellation of admission.
Reservation of Quotas for IPMAT Counselling 2026
Reservation at IIM Indore for the IPM 2026 batch follows the Government of India’s reservation policy, applied uniformly to all centrally funded institutions. The table below shows the category-wise seat distribution for the 150 domestic seats in the IPM 2026 batch. Category certificates must be valid and in the prescribed central government format; OBC-NCL certificates must not be more than one year old at the time of document verification.
| Category | Reservation (%) | Approximate Seats (out of 150) | Key Certificate Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| General (Open) | – | 61 | No category certificate required |
| OBC – Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) | 27% | 40 | OBC-NCL certificate (central government format, not older than 1 year) |
| Scheduled Caste (SC) | 15% | 23 | SC certificate issued by competent authority |
| Scheduled Tribe (ST) | 7.5% | 11 | ST certificate issued by competent authority |
| Economically Weaker Section (EWS) | 10% | 15 | EWS income and asset certificate for FY 2025–26 |
| Persons with Disability (PwD) | 5% horizontal | Up to 8 (spread across all categories above) | PwD certificate from government hospital or medical board |
| Supernumerary (Foreign Nationals) | Supernumerary | 5 | Separate application process; valid passport and supporting documents |
PwD reservation is horizontal: a PwD student is first ranked within their own category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, or EWS) based on composite merit score, and then counted against the 5% PwD sub-quota within that category. If your category certificate is expired, in the wrong format, or issued by an incompetent authority, you will be treated as a General category student for seat allotment purposes.
Students applying to IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, or IIM Sirmaur with their IPMAT score must note that each institute maintains its own category-wise seat breakdown — the figures above apply only to IIM Indore’s 150-seat IPM batch.
How to Apply for IPMAT Counselling 2026?
IPMAT 2026 counselling does not use a separate counselling portal. The entire admission process — from exam registration to final seat confirmation — is managed through IIM Indore’s official admission portal at iimidr.ac.in. Students who cleared the IPMAT 2026 sectional cutoffs were automatically shortlisted for the PI stage; no separate registration for PI was required.
Students targeting IPM programmes at IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, or IIM Sirmaur must submit separate applications on each institute’s official website — there is no shared application portal. Each institute sets its own application deadline, and missing it forfeits consideration for that institute’s batch.
Step 1: Online Registration and Application
Registration for IPMAT 2026 opened in January 2026 on the IIM Indore website. At the registration stage, students filled in personal and academic details, uploaded a recent photograph and signature, and paid the non-refundable application fee (Rs. 4,130 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS; Rs. 2,065 for SC/ST/PwD). Students who completed this step are now in the active admission pipeline and do not need to re-register for the remaining stages.
Step 2: WAT and Personal Interview (PI)
IIM Indore shortlisted students who cleared all IPMAT 2026 sectional cutoffs and invited them to the IIM Indore campus in Indore for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), held during July 2026. Both the WAT and PI were conducted on the same day at the campus. The PI panel assessed general awareness, communication skills, motivation for integrated management education, and analytical ability. Travel and accommodation costs for the PI visit were borne by the student.
Step 3: Composite Score Calculation
After the PI stage, IIM Indore computes a final composite score for every student who appeared for the interview:
- Aptitude Test Score (ATS) — 65% weightage: Derived from the student’s normalised IPMAT 2026 score, calculated as (marks obtained / maximum possible marks) × 100, then normalised across exam sessions.
- Personal Interview (PI) Score — 35% weightage: Awarded by the interview panel based on the student’s performance on the day of PI at IIM Indore campus.
- Students are ranked in descending order of composite scores, separately within each category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD).
There is no separate WAT score component in the IIM Indore composite formula — the WAT is used qualitatively by the PI panel and does not carry an independent numerical weight in the final merit list.
Step 4: Seat Offer and Acceptance
Once the final merit list is released (expected first week of August 2026), IIM Indore sends admission offer letters to students in order of their category-wise composite scores. Students must log in to the admission portal and accept the offer and pay the seat acceptance fee within the deadline specified in the offer letter. The deadline is typically short — often 48 to 72 hours — so check your registered email regularly after the merit list is released. Failure to respond within the deadline results in the seat being offered to the next student on the list.
Step 5: Document Verification and Reporting
After seat acceptance and fee payment, students complete online document verification by uploading scanned copies of required documents. Physical reporting to the IIM Indore campus follows, where original documents are verified in person before the programme begins. If any document is found to be forged, does not meet eligibility requirements, or is missing, the admission offer is cancelled and the seat is offered to the next eligible student on the merit list. Reporting is also the stage where students pay the first instalment of the programme fee and complete hostel and administrative formalities.
How to Accept Your IPMAT Seat Offer (Step-by-Step Guide)
When IIM Indore sends you an admission offer for the IPM 2026 programme, follow the steps below to confirm your seat. Missing the acceptance deadline permanently forfeits your seat in the 2026 batch — there is no grace period or appeal process for late acceptances.
Step 1: Check Your Email and Admission Portal
- IIM Indore sends the offer letter to your registered email ID immediately after the merit list is finalised.
- Log in to the admission portal at iimidr.ac.in using your original application credentials.
- The portal dashboard will display your offer status and the acceptance deadline prominently.
Step 2: Review Your Offer Details
- Confirm the programme name, category under which the seat is offered, and the exact acceptance deadline.
- Read all terms and conditions, including the seat acceptance fee amount, refund policy, and document submission instructions.
Step 3: Accept the Offer Online
- Click "Accept Offer" on the admission portal dashboard.
- A confirmation screen will appear — verify all details before clicking Confirm, as this action cannot be reversed without initiating the formal withdrawal process.
Step 4: Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee
- Pay the seat acceptance fee online via net banking, debit card, or credit card through the portal’s payment gateway.
- Download and save the payment confirmation receipt immediately; email it to yourself as a backup.
- The seat acceptance fee is typically adjusted against the first-year programme fee — it is not an additional charge on top of tuition.
Step 5: Upload Pending Documents
- Upload any documents flagged as pending in the portal — for example, a final Class 12 mark sheet if board results were not available at the time of application.
- Keep all original documents organised and ready for physical verification at the time of campus reporting.
Once the seat is accepted and the fee is paid, your seat in the IPM 2026 batch is confirmed. Do not withdraw without first understanding the refund policy — the seat acceptance fee is typically forfeited upon withdrawal after acceptance.
| Action | Timeline | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| Review offer letter | Within 24 hours of receipt | Check programme, category, and all terms carefully |
| Accept seat online | Within deadline in offer letter (typically 48–72 hours) | Non-acceptance by deadline forfeits seat permanently |
| Pay seat acceptance fee | Simultaneously with acceptance | Online payment only; save receipt as PDF |
| Upload pending documents | As per portal instructions | Final Class 12 mark sheet if not uploaded earlier |
| Report to campus | As per IIM Indore’s reporting schedule (late August 2026) | Bring all originals for in-person physical verification |
IPMAT Counselling Documents Required 2026
Prepare the following documents for both the online upload stage and for physical verification at the time of reporting to the IIM Indore campus. All original documents must be produced for in-person verification — photocopies and scanned uploads alone will not be accepted at the campus reporting stage.
- IPMAT 2026 Admit Card (downloaded from the IIM Indore portal)
- IPMAT 2026 Scorecard / Result Sheet (downloaded from iimidr.ac.in after May 25, 2026)
- Class 10 Mark Sheet — original, showing individual subject marks and aggregate percentage
- Class 10 Board Passing Certificate or Migration Certificate (original)
- Class 12 Mark Sheet — original; if final results were not yet released at the application stage, the provisional mark sheet is accepted initially, but the original must be submitted within the deadline notified by IIM Indore
- Class 12 Board Passing Certificate (original), if issued separately by the board
- OBC-NCL Certificate (if applicable) — in the central government format prescribed by DoPT; must not be more than one year old at the time of verification
- SC / ST Certificate (if applicable) — issued by the competent authority (District Magistrate / SDM / Tehsildar) of the student’s home district
- EWS Income and Asset Certificate (if applicable) — issued for financial year 2025–26; certificates from earlier financial years are not valid
- PwD Certificate (if applicable) — issued by a government hospital’s medical board or District Medical Board; must clearly state the nature and percentage of disability
- Photo identity proof — Aadhaar card, passport, PAN card, or voter ID (any one, original)
- Recent passport-size photographs — minimum six copies, taken against a plain white background within the last three months
- Domicile certificate (required for state-quota seats at IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, or IIM Sirmaur, as applicable to each institute’s norms)
- Gap year explanation letter (if applicable) — for students with an academic gap between passing Class 12 and appearing for IPMAT 2026
Students applying to IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, or IIM Sirmaur through their IPMAT score must additionally check those institutes’ document checklists individually — requirements may differ from IIM Indore’s list above.
How Much Money is Needed for IPMAT Counselling 2026?
IPMAT 2026 admission-related expenses fall into two broad categories: fees paid to complete the admission process (non-refundable or partially refundable) and programme fees payable after joining. The total five-year programme cost at IIM Indore is significant — plan your finances and, if required, begin the educational loan process early, since loan disbursements at most banks take four to six weeks from application.
Non-Refundable Fees
These fees are not returned under any circumstances, including withdrawal after seat acceptance.
| Fee Type | General / OBC-NCL / EWS | SC / ST / PwD |
|---|---|---|
| IPMAT 2026 Application / Registration Fee (already paid at registration stage) | Rs. 4,130 (inclusive of applicable taxes) | Rs. 2,065 (50% concession) |
| PI / WAT Centre Travel and Accommodation (July 2026) | Self-funded; costs vary by city of origin | Self-funded; costs vary by city of origin |
| Seat Acceptance Processing Fee (payable at offer stage) | To be announced by IIM Indore in the offer letter | To be announced by IIM Indore in the offer letter |
Refundable / Adjustable Fees
The seat acceptance fee collected at the time of offer is typically adjusted against the first-year programme fee — it is not an extra cost on top of tuition. The table below reflects approximate annual programme fees for IIM Indore’s IPM programme based on historical data from recent batches. Confirm exact fee figures on the IIM Indore website before making payment, as fees are revised annually and the official 2026 batch fee schedule will be published alongside the offer letter.
| Fee Component | Approximate Amount | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition Fee (per year) | Rs. 8–10 lakhs (Years 1–3, UG phase) | Subject to annual revision; official 2026 batch figures will be published on iimidr.ac.in |
| Rs. 10–12 lakhs (Years 4–5, PG phase) | ||
| Hostel and Mess (per year) | Rs. 1.5–2.5 lakhs | Varies by room type (single / shared) and mess plan selected |
| Other Charges — books, uniforms, student activities (per year) | Rs. 50,000–1 lakh | Estimate based on historical data; actual costs may vary |
| Security Deposit (one-time, refundable) | Rs. 10,000–25,000 | Refunded on programme completion subject to no outstanding dues |
Note: If you withdraw after accepting a seat, the seat acceptance fee is not refunded. Refunds on tuition or other advance payments depend on the stage at which you withdraw — IIM Indore publishes a refund schedule in the offer letter. Review this schedule before accepting, particularly if you are simultaneously evaluating offers from other IIMs.
IIM-Wise IPM Seat Allotment 2026
The IPMAT score (IIM Indore) is accepted by IIM Indore and several other IIMs for their five-year IPM programmes. Each institution runs a completely independent admission process. Applying to one institute does not enrol you in another — you must submit a separate application form and pay the relevant application fee for each institute you want to be considered at.
| Institution | Exam Required | Approx. Seats | Separate Application Needed | Selection Process |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IIM Indore | IPMAT (IIM Indore) | 150 + 5 supernumerary | No — same registration portal | IPMAT score (65%) + PI (35%) |
| IIM Amritsar | IPMAT (IIM Indore) | ~60 | Yes — iimamritsar.ac.in | IPMAT score + PI / WAT |
| IIM Ranchi | IPMAT (IIM Indore) | ~60 | Yes — iimranchi.ac.in | IPMAT score + academic profile + PI |
| IIM Shillong | IPMAT (IIM Indore) | ~60 | Yes — iimshillong.ac.in | IPMAT score + PI |
| IIM Sirmaur | IPMAT (IIM Indore) | ~60 | Yes — iimsirmaur.ac.in | IPMAT score + PI |
| IIM Rohtak | IPMAT Rohtak — separate exam conducted by IIM Rohtak | ~120 | Yes — iimrohtak.ac.in (separate IPMAT Rohtak exam required) | Separate IPMAT Rohtak score + PI |
| IIM Jammu | JIPMAT (conducted by NTA) — not IPMAT Indore | ~60 | Yes — iimj.ac.in | JIPMAT score + PI |
| IIM Bodh Gaya | JIPMAT (conducted by NTA) — not IPMAT Indore | ~60 | Yes — iimbg.ac.in | JIPMAT score + PI |
Seat numbers above are approximate and based on historical intake data. Official confirmed seat intake figures for the 2026 batch will be published by each institution individually. IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya require the JIPMAT score specifically — your IPMAT (IIM Indore) score cannot be used for admission to these two institutes.
Non-IIM institutions — including IIFT Kakinada, NALSAR University of Law (Hyderabad), TAPMI Manipal, Nirma University (Ahmedabad), Krea University / IFMR (Sri City), and Alliance University (Bengaluru) — also accept IPMAT (IIM Indore) scores. Application processes, seat counts, and eligibility requirements differ at each; refer directly to their official admissions pages for details.
Waitlist and Withdrawal: What Are Your Options?
IPMAT admission at IIM Indore does not use a multi-round upgrade / freeze / float system like JoSAA. There is one merit list, and students are offered seats in rank order within each category. Waitlist movement occurs when students in the main list decline their offers or miss the acceptance deadline. Understanding these dynamics helps you make informed decisions, especially if you receive offers from multiple institutions simultaneously.
If You Receive a Direct Admission Offer (Main Merit List):
- Accept the offer within the stated deadline — typically within 48 to 72 hours of receiving the offer letter — and pay the seat acceptance fee.
- Once you accept, your seat at IIM Indore is confirmed. You may still apply to other IIMs accepting IPMAT scores through their separate portals, but you must ultimately enrol at only one institute.
- Accepting an offer and then withdrawing leads to forfeiture of the seat acceptance fee — notify IIM Indore promptly if you choose to decline, so the seat can move to the next waitlisted student.
If You Are on the Waitlist:
- Students ranked below the initial offer cutoff are placed on a waitlist; movement is triggered each time a main-list student declines their offer or misses the acceptance deadline.
- IIM Indore communicates waitlist offers individually by email — there is no public dashboard showing your waitlist rank or movement status.
- Apply to IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, and IIM Sirmaur in parallel while waiting — their separate admission timelines may allow you to secure a seat there before IIM Indore’s waitlist resolves. The difference between these IIMs lies not just in geography but in programme culture, faculty strength, and infrastructure — research each before applying.
If You Decide to Withdraw After Accepting:
- Notify IIM Indore through the official admission portal and by email to the admissions office — prompt notification releases your seat for the next waitlisted student.
- The seat acceptance fee is generally forfeited after acceptance. Tuition fee refunds (if advance tuition has been paid) follow IIM Indore’s published refund schedule.
- Withdrawing from IIM Indore does not affect your standing or offer at any other IIM — each admission is fully independent.
| Scenario | Recommended Action | Financial Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Received offer; want to join IIM Indore | Accept offer + pay seat acceptance fee before deadline | Seat acceptance fee adjusted against first-year tuition |
| Received offer; prefer another IIM | Decline offer on portal before the deadline | Application fee not refunded; seat acceptance fee not charged if you decline before paying |
| On waitlist; no offer yet | Wait for email notification; apply to other IIMs in parallel | No financial commitment until you receive and accept an offer |
| Accepted offer; want to switch to another institute | Withdraw via portal; notify admissions office in writing promptly | Seat acceptance fee typically forfeited; tuition refund as per IIM Indore’s refund schedule |
If you withdraw after accepting a seat and paying the seat acceptance fee, that fee is not refunded. Make your decision before the acceptance deadline wherever possible — declining before paying avoids any financial loss and opens your seat for a waitlisted peer.
FAQs
Ques: What is IPMAT 2026 Counselling and who conducts it?
Ans: IPMAT 2026 Counselling is the admission process for the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore and other participating IIMs. IIM Indore independently manages every stage for its own programme — from shortlisting students for PI, to releasing the final merit list, sending offer letters, collecting the seat acceptance fee, and verifying documents. It is not a centralized national process. IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, and IIM Sirmaur conduct their own parallel admission processes using the IPMAT (IIM Indore) score, and each must be applied to separately on its own website.
Ques: When will the IPMAT 2026 final merit list be released?
Ans: The IPMAT 2026 final merit list is expected in the first week of August 2026 on iimidr.ac.in. PI rounds concluded in July 2026, and IIM Indore typically takes one to two weeks after completing all PI sessions to compute composite scores, verify category details, and publish the ranked list. Students should monitor their registered email address daily during this period — offer letters are sent with short acceptance deadlines of 48 to 72 hours, and missing them forfeits the seat.
Ques: What is the weightage given to the IPMAT score and PI in the final merit list?
Ans: IIM Indore uses the following formula for its IPM 2026 merit list:
- Aptitude Test Score (ATS) — 65% weightage: Derived from the student’s normalised IPMAT 2026 score, calculated as (marks obtained / maximum possible marks) × 100, normalised across exam sessions.
- Personal Interview (PI) Score — 35% weightage: Awarded by the interview panel based on the student’s performance at the IIM Indore campus in July 2026.
The Written Ability Test (WAT) is used qualitatively by the PI panel — it does not carry a separate numerical weight in the composite formula. Where two students have an identical composite score, ATS is used as the tiebreaker; if ATS is also identical, Class 12 aggregate percentage is used.
Ques: Which IIMs and institutions can I apply to with my IPMAT (IIM Indore) score?
Ans: Your IPMAT (IIM Indore) score is accepted by IIM Indore (automatically, as part of the same exam-registration process) and by IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, and IIM Sirmaur through separate applications on each institute’s website. Non-IIM institutions — including IIFT Kakinada, TAPMI Manipal, NALSAR Hyderabad, Nirma University, Krea University (IFMR), and Alliance University — also consider IPMAT (IIM Indore) scores; check their official websites for application deadlines and eligibility. IIM Rohtak uses its own separate IPMAT Rohtak exam; IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya use JIPMAT conducted by NTA — neither accepts IPMAT (IIM Indore) scores.
Ques: Is there a centralised counselling portal for IPMAT admissions?
Ans: No. IPMAT does not have a centralised counselling portal comparable to JoSAA (for JEE Advanced/Main) or MCC (for NEET-UG). Each IIM handles its own admission independently. For IIM Indore, all steps — PI shortlisting, merit list, offer acceptance, fee payment, and document verification — are managed through iimidr.ac.in. For other IIMs accepting IPMAT scores, you must visit each institute’s official website, submit a separate application form, and pay the respective application fee.
Ques: What happens if I am placed on the IPMAT 2026 waitlist?
Ans: Waitlisted students receive individual email notifications from IIM Indore as seats are released by main-list students who decline their offers or miss acceptance deadlines. IIM Indore does not publicly disclose waitlist ranks, so you cannot predict when — or whether — a waitlist offer will arrive. While waiting, apply to other IIMs that accept IPMAT scores through their separate portals, since those admission timelines differ and may still have open windows.
Note: No financial commitment is required while on the waitlist. Do not pay any fee to any third party claiming to secure a seat — IIM Indore’s official portal is the only legitimate fee collection channel.
Ques: What is the minimum academic percentage required for IPMAT 2026 admission?
Ans: Students must have a minimum aggregate of 60% in both Class 10 and Class 12 for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories. SC, ST, and PwD students need a minimum of 55% in both. Mathematics (or Applied Mathematics) must have been a compulsory subject in Class XI and XII — no waiver is possible. Meeting the IPMAT sectional cutoffs for PI shortlisting does not waive the academic eligibility criteria; failure to meet them at document verification leads to cancellation of the admission offer, even after seat acceptance and fee payment.
Ques: What documents do I need for IPMAT 2026 admission?
Ans: Prepare the following documents for online upload and for physical verification at the IIM Indore campus:
- IPMAT 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard (downloaded from iimidr.ac.in)
- Class 10 mark sheet and board certificate (original)
- Class 12 mark sheet — original or provisional — and board certificate
- Category certificate — OBC-NCL (not older than 1 year, central govt format), SC, ST, EWS (FY 2025–26), or PwD — if applicable
- Photo identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or voter ID — any one, original)
- Six recent passport-size photographs (white background, taken within last 3 months)
- Domicile certificate, if claiming a state-quota seat at any other participating IIM
Ques: Is the seat acceptance fee refundable if I withdraw after accepting?
Ans: The seat acceptance fee is typically not refunded once you have accepted the offer and the payment has been processed. The tuition fee refund — applicable if you have paid any advance tuition — follows a separate refund schedule that IIM Indore publishes in the offer letter; earlier withdrawal generally means a larger portion is returned. Read the refund schedule in full before deciding to accept, particularly if you are simultaneously evaluating offers from other IIMs or programmes and want to keep your options open.
Ques: Can I simultaneously apply to IIM Indore and other IIMs using the same IPMAT score?
Ans: Yes. You can apply to IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, IIM Sirmaur, and eligible non-IIM institutions simultaneously using your IPMAT (IIM Indore) score. Since each institute has its own application portal, application fee, and admission timeline, there is no conflict in applying to all of them at the same time. However, once you receive and accept an admission offer from any one institution, you must decline the others. Holding confirmed seats at multiple institutions simultaneously is not permitted and may result in cancellation of all offers if discovered.
Ques: What is the age limit for IPMAT 2026 and how is it verified?
Ans: Students must be not more than 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026 for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories. SC, ST, and PwD students are eligible up to 25 years of age as of July 31, 2026. Age is verified from the date of birth recorded on the Class 10 board certificate — not from the Aadhaar card or any other self-reported document. Students who were born on July 31, 2006 or later are within the 20-year limit for General category; for SC/ST/PwD, students born on July 31, 2001 or later are within the 25-year limit.
