IPU CET 2024 Exam Instructions
Given below are some points to be considered by the students who are going to appear in the exam:
- Candidates should bring two black ballpoint pens to the Examination hall for marking responses on OMR answer sheets. Use of pencil is not allowed.
- Candidates are not be provided the facility of re-evaluation or reassessment for the concerned exam.
- Candidates should leave Examination Hall only after handing over the OMR answer sheet and test booklet to the Invigilator.
- The sheet has 4 circles in front of every question. Candidates need to mark the circle that highlights the circle that they feel is the correct response for that particular answer.
- The Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet should be handled carefully by the candidates. They are advised not to fold the response sheet under any circumstances.
- Candidates are required to darken one circle only for each question. If you darken more than one circle for a question, the response to that question will be invalidated and a negative mark will be assigned for that question.
- Do not make any stray marks anywhere on the OMR.
- Candidates shall note that they will not be given a second blank Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet. Hence they are advised to be careful while handling their OMR response sheet.
IPU CET 2023 will be conducted by GGSIPU on various dates as per the course for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs available at the university and its participating institutes and colleges.

Syllabus
IPU CET Syllabus 2025 will be released by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for the academic session. IPU CET 2025 syllabus generally aligns with Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT for UG programs and includes graduate-level concepts for PG programs. IPU CET transitioned some programs, like B.Tech, to accept scores from national-level exams (JEE Main) instead of conducting a separate test. The syllabus for other courses remains as per the IPU CET guidelines.
Since JEE scores determine admission to B.Tech programs, candidates should be aware that there is no IPU syllabus for the 4-year B.Tech exam. Apart from that, the IPU exam has also been scrapped for the MBBS, Architecture, MBA, and Law programs. Admission to these programs is done through the national-level entrance exams and the syllabus for these exams is released separately.
The IPU CET exam will take place in the last week of April and conclude in the second week of May. IPU CET Syllabus exam for all the streams for IPU CET 2025 will be conducted for 2 ½ hours with a total of 100 questions while the marking scheme remains the same. Some of the important sections of IPU CET exam are:
- For BBA, you need to know English language and comprehension, aptitude relating to the field of communication, general awareness, logical and analytical ability, etc.
- For B.Ed: English Comprehension, General Awareness, Mental Ability and Reasoning
- For BCA: Computer Awareness, General Knowledge, Mathematics, English Language and Comprehension
- For B.Com: Logical Reasoning, General English, General Awareness, Data Interpretation

Is 250 a good score in IPU CET?
Whether a 250 score in IPU CET is good depends on the program you are applying for, the difficulty level of the exam in that year, and the competition (cutoff trends).
- For B.Tech Programs: With a score of 250, you might not get admission to Popular branches like CSE, IT, or ECE. 250 is a good score and can secure admission in many engineering mid-tier branches.
- For BBA Programs: A score of 250 is generally above average, and you are likely to qualify for most colleges under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU).
- For MBA Programs: A score of 250 may place you in middle-tier colleges, but top colleges like USMS (University School of Management Studies) might have higher cutoffs.

Cut-offs
The IPU CET Cutoff is the minimum score to be eligible for admission to courses like BBA, BCA, BJMC, B.Com Hons, etc. The GGSIPU will release the cutoff marks for IPU CET 2025 on their official website after each round of counselling. Last year, the students scoring 340+ out of 400 in IPU CET BBA secured seats in VIPS or MAIMs, while BCA students needed around 320 to enter USICT or MSI.
For 2025, it is expected that the competition will be tougher, and students need to target a minimum score of 330+ for the General category. Candidates applying for B.Tech courses through the JEE Main score need a 95+ percentile for admissions to top colleges. After the release of the cutoff, GGSIPU will conduct the IPU CET Counselling rounds, and the seat allotment will be done based on their ranks of students, which is calculated based on the raw marks.
IPU CET Cutoff 2025 (Expected)
The IPU CET expected cutoff for 2025 is calculated based on the previous years’ analysis. According to the analysis, it is expected closing rank for B.Tech CSE can reach 25,400 for the Delhi region applicants and 7,001 for outside Delhi region applicants.
