Steps to Fill ISC Class 12 Registration Form 2026?
Students can not register by themselves on the official website for ISC Class 12 Exams. They need to submit their details to the school authorities. The procedure mentioned below is for the school authority to submit the ISC Registration Form 2026 of their students.
Step 1: School authorities need to visit CISCE careers portal – careers.cisce.org.
Step 2: Enter ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’ and then click on the ‘Login’ button.

Step 3: Then click on the ‘e-Registration’ option on the homepage.
Step 4: Now in the menu bar, go to ISC option, and from the dropdown select ‘Registration’.

Step 5: ISC registration activation screen will appear. Select ‘yes’ and click finish at the bottom of the screen.

Step 6: Carefully read the registration instructions and check-mark the option – ‘I have read and understood the above instructions’. Click on ‘proceed’.

Step 7: Now follow the steps below to register as a new candidate -
- Enter the required details on the student details screen.
- Upload the students’ passport-size coloured-photograph in school uniform with a white background.
- Scan and upload the signature of the student.
- In the “Comments to the Principal” text box, enter comments (if any).
- Now there are three options - ‘Save’,’Save & Continue’, and ‘Submit to Principal’.
- On clicking the ‘Save’ option, the data will be saved in the system and a confirmation message will appear on the screen. The screen is now ready for ‘Student Review’.
- If you click ‘Save & Continue’ after entering all the required details and uploading required documents, the data will be saved in the system.
- The ‘Submit to Principal’ button will save the data in the system and the screen will be ready for ‘Principal Review’.

ISC Class 12 Registration 2026 Fee Payment
All the students must pay the registration fee to CISCE, except ‘Detained’ and ‘Withdrawn’ students. The payment should be in online mode through the ‘Careers System’ and payment options available are net banking, credit and debit cards. In order to make the fee payment, follow the steps given below:
- On the ISC registration ‘Summary’ screen, go to the ‘Payment Due’ option.
- Click on the ‘View All’ button to view the list of students and make payment for the selected students from the list.
- Click on the ‘Pay All’ button to make the payment directly from this screen.
- On completing the transaction, an acknowledgement will be received with complete transaction details.

Exam Pattern
- From 2024 onwards, the ISC Class 12 Question Paper will contain HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) and critical analysis questions.
- CISCE has advised schools to also include these types of questions in regular assessments.
However, the board has not announced any changes in the marking scheme or ISC Class 12 Syllabus 2024-25. The total marks for each subject will be 100. Depending upon the subject, the total marks will be further divided into theory and project/practical work. Students will get 3 hours to write the exam.
In ISC Class 12, students must score at least 35% marks to be declared pass. They must pass in each subject as well as in aggregate to obtain the pass certificate. Candidates who fail in any subject in Class 12 can appear for ISC Class 12 Improvement Exams. Only students who pass English and any other two subjects can take compartment exams.

ISC Class 12 Grading System 2025
The grading system for the ISC Class 12 Exam is a nine-numbered grading scale, where 9 is the lowest and 1 is the highest. Students have to secure 7, which is the minimum passing grade to get the passing certificate. Only Grades 1 to 7 are recorded on certificates. The interpretation of the grades is as follows:
External Examination

Internal Assessment

Guidelines for Subject Choice in ISC Board
It should be noted that the same or related subjects of different groups can not be opted for simultaneously by a student. While choosing optional subjects, students are not allowed to opt for the following combination of subjects:
- Group II Physics and Group III Engineering Science
- Group III Geometric and Mechanical Drawing and Group III Geometric and Building Drawing
- Group II Economics and Group III Economic Applications.
- Group II Commercial Studies and Group III Commercial Applications.
- Sanskrit as a second language subject in Group I and Sanskrit as a classical language in Group II.
- Different Modern Foreign Languages shall be opted from each group (II and III).
Apart from subject choice, students need to keep in mind the following points:
- Optional subjects can be chosen only at the time of class 11 registration. Subjects cannot be changed in class 12.
- Students are allowed to choose one additional subject other than the optional subjects in Group II.
- Students can also opt for an additional secondary language if Hindi is chosen as one of the second language subjects.
ISC Class 12 Exams 2025: Important Instructions
Students are advised to follow the guidelines given below on the day of the final board examination:
- Students should reach the exam centre 30 minutes prior to the exam.
- Students need to bring all the necessary documents and personal stationery with them.
