ISC Board Exam Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appear for the ISC examination through a school affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, and they must be regularly enrolled in Class 12 of that school after completing Class 11 there. Entry is submitted by the school, not by the student directly, so the candidate must be registered by the school within the timelines set by the council and must have paid the prescribed examination fee and cleared any school dues. Candidates are also required to meet the minimum attendance condition prescribed by the council, and any relaxation on medical or exceptional grounds is granted only under the council's rules. Conditions for private candidates, repeaters, compartment candidates and improvement candidates, along with subject combination rules, are stated in the council's official regulations and circulars for that examination year.
