JIPMER 2024 Eligibility Criteria
JIPMER has been replaced with NEET UG. The eligibility criteria for JIPMER is the same as NEET UG.
Every candidate taking admission in MBBS or BDS must be 17 years of age or above. Candidates appearing for their class 12th final exam can also attempt JIPMER 2024.
Who Can Apply
Indian citizens, NRI and foreign candidates can apply for NEET 2024. Candidates must score 50% marks in class 10+2 or equivalent to be eligible for JIPMER 2024.
Relaxation is given to reserved categories. Eligibility criteria for other courses like PG, PhD, Diploma and Certificate courses is decided by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research.
Nationality Requirements
- The candidate can be an Indian Citizen.
- NRI candidates must be registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955.
- NRI candidates must show their registration proof as OCI or Overseas Citizen of India while submitting the application form of JIPMER 2024.
- Candidates from NRI or OCI category must submit the eligibility certificate issued by The Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
- Foreign Nationals need permission from the Medical Council of India.
Age Limit
The aspirant is eligible to complete the admission process when they are at the age of 17 minimum.
- Candidates from reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC are not allowed any relaxation.
- The institute does not offer any age relaxation for both general and reserved candidates.
Academic Qualification
The candidate needs to have passed their 10+2 from a recognised board or any other higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination successfully.
Applicants must qualify their final exam with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology in science stream.

- The candidates who are going to appear for the final year exam in March or April in 2024 are also eligible to apply for the course.
- An applicant must follow all the above-mentioned criteria for JIPMER 2024 Exam.
