MCAER PGCET 2024 Exam Pattern
MCAER PGCET 2024 is an offline pen-and-paper test. You will mark your answers on an OMR sheet using a blue or black pen. The exam is conducted by the Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research for admission to MSc programs at Maharashtra State Agricultural institutes.
The question paper contains 200 multiple-choice questions. You will get 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete the exam.

Each correct answer carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Since there is no negative marking, you can attempt all questions without the risk of losing marks. The test score carries a weightage of 70% in the selection process.
Eligibility Criteria
You must pass a UG degree examination with a minimum of 5.0 CGPA to appear for the exam. The questions are based on topics from agriculture covered in the bachelor's course.

- The question paper consists of 200 questions from various topics of agriculture covered in the bachelor's course.
- Each question is of 1 mark.
- The questions are not divided into any sections.
- There is no set number of questions from a specific topic.
- The duration of the entrance examination is 120 minutes.
A carbon copy of the OMR sheet will be provided at the time of the CET examination.
Syllabus
The MCAER PG 2024 syllabus is available on the official website, mcaer.org. Over 80 per cent of questions will be set from the syllabus of the main degree or stream. The remaining 20 per cent will come from the syllabi of other eligible degrees or streams.
The syllabus is prepared from the course syllabus of the bachelor's course in the candidate's specialization.

Exam Day Instructions for MCAER PGCET 2024
The MCAER PGCET 2024 exam duration is 2 hours. Candidates must follow the exam day instructions given below.
- Failure to make full and correct statements in the application form, or suppression of any information, will lead to disqualification. Such a candidate will be debarred from the examination or the entire admission process at any stage.
- Candidates must follow the instructions given by the Supervisors or Invigilators at all stages of the examination. Violation of these instructions may lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Calculators, books, notebooks, written notes, smart-watches, mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the examination hall. A candidate found possessing such material, whether in use or not, will be deemed to have used unfair means and will be liable for disciplinary action.
- Using unfair means or engaging in malpractice will make a candidate liable for punishment under the "Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, Universities, Board and Other Specified Examination Act, 1982" and will lead to disqualification.
- Any issue not dealt with above will be dealt with, when it arises, fully and finally by the competent authority.
