PESSAT 2024 Overview
PESSAT 2024 stands for Peoples Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test. PES University, Bangalore conducts this exam.
Through PESSAT 2024, candidates can get admission into B.Tech and various other courses offered by PES University.
PESSAT 2024 Syllabus
For PESSAT 2024, candidates must prepare Class 11 and Class 12 topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. The syllabus is divided into two sections.
Section 1 includes Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry questions from 11th class and 12th class CBSE syllabus. Section 2 includes 20 questions on English grammar.

PESSAT 2024 Exam Duration
The duration of PESSAT 2024 is different for every course. For B.Tech, the exam duration is 180 minutes.
For B.Pharma, B.Des, BBA and other courses offered, the exam duration is 120 minutes.
PESSAT 2024 Marking Scheme
There is no negative marking in PESSAT 2024. The total marks for Mathematics and Physics are 60 marks each.
The total marks for Chemistry are 40 marks and for English are 20 marks.

PESSAT 2024 Marking Scheme
The PESSAT 2024 marking scheme is set by PES University, Bangalore. There is no negative marking in the exam.
- One mark is awarded for every correct answer.
- Zero marks are awarded for every incorrect answer.
- Leaving a question unattempted does not lead to any deduction of marks.
- Ranks are awarded to candidates based on their performance in the test. These ranks are one of the bases for admission.

PESSAT 2024 Exam Day Instructions
Here are the key rules to follow on the day of the PESSAT 2024 exam.
General Rules
- A candidate can take PESSAT 2024 only once.
- Candidates must not carry any pen, pencil, or paper. All these items will be provided inside the exam hall.
- Candidates must carry at least one photo ID proof along with the hall ticket to appear for PESSAT 2024.
During the Exam
- Instructions will appear on the computer screen before the exam starts. Candidates should read them carefully to learn how to operate the exam.
- If a candidate has any issue with the computer provided, they should immediately contact the invigilator.
- There is no negative marking in PESSAT 2024. Candidates are advised to attempt as many questions as they can.
