The UP Board 2027 main theory exams are expected to begin in February 2027 and conclude by March 2027. Board practical exams are expected between January 27 and February 10, 2027.
Official exam dates will be released by UPMSP on upmsp.edu.in closer to the exam.
Passing Marks
Students must score a minimum of 33% in each subject to pass the UP Board 2027 examination. This threshold applies separately to the theory paper and to the practical or internal assessment component.
You cannot compensate a low theory score with practical marks.
OMR Sheet Instructions
Section A contains 20 MCQ questions. You record your answers by darkening the correct bubble on a separate OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet.
The OMR sheet is scanned by machine. Mark each bubble firmly and clearly. Do not use stray marks, and never darken more than one bubble per question.
Changes for 2027
No major changes have been announced for the UP Board 2027 exam pattern as of July 2026. The structure, marking scheme, number of MCQ questions, and paper duration remain identical to the 2026 board examinations.

Practical Exam Marks
UP Board practical exams carry 30 marks for subjects with a lab component. These subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Geography, and Home Science.
These 30 marks are added to the 70-mark theory paper score, giving a total of 100 marks per subject.
Class 10 Grading System
UP Board Class 10 uses a 9-point grading scale. A grade of D or above means you have passed the examination.
