UPSEE (UPCET) Exam Pattern 2024: Highlights

UPSEE (UPCET) has been replaced with CUET UG and CUET PG 2024 exams. Candidates appearing for CUET 2024 can take admission to institutes in Uttar Pradesh. The CUET 2024 UG and PG exam pattern is defined by the NTA.

UPCET 2024 Exam Medium

UPCET is now replaced with CUET UG and CUET PG. The medium of the exam will be held as per the norms released by NTA. The medium of CUET PG is English except for Language based subjects.

The UPCET exam pattern for 2024 is based on the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) structure. The pattern varies depending on the paper a candidate appears for.

The number of questions in UPCET 2024 ranges from 50 to 60, depending on the paper. For CUET PG, there are 75 questions based on the domain subject.

Marking Scheme

The marking scheme for UPCET (CUET) 2024 is uniform across all courses. Candidates get +5 marks for each correct answer.

1 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer. For CUET PG, +4 marks are awarded for a correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for an incorrect one.

Exam Mode

UPCET has been removed, and candidates must follow the CUET exam pattern for UG and PG. CUET UG is conducted in a hybrid mode, while CUET PG is held in online mode.

Negative Marking

Previously, there was no negative marking in the UPCET entrance examination. However, due to its replacement with the CUET exam, there is negative marking in both CUET UG and CUET PG.

The negative marking is -1 mark in both CUET UG and CUET PG.
