Birla Institute of Technology and Science - [BITS]

<p>BITS Pilani is a Deemed-to-be University established in 1964 under Section 3 of the UGC Act. The institute offers programmes in Engineering and Science. It follows a semester system with a modular structure of courses, continuous and internal evaluation, and letter grading.</p>
<p>The institute has an International Programmes and Collaboration Division (IPCD) with representation on all four campuses. Through this division, students can pursue Off-campus Thesis or Semester Abroad programs at foreign universities ranked in the first 400 by QS and Times Higher Education (THE). Students have completed thesis work at organisations such as the Max Planck Institute, the University of Stuttgart, the University of Magdeburg, Concordia University and the National University of Singapore (NUS).</p>
<p>The institute has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with various universities and industries in India and abroad. These support student and faculty exchange programs and joint research collaborations.</p>
