BIT MCA 2024 Application Form Overview

The BIT MCA Application Form was released on April 8, 2024. The last date to submit the application form is June 10, 2024.

The application form must be filled out online through the official website, bitmesra.ac.in. Candidates with a BCA degree and a minimum average of 55% marks are eligible. SC/ST/PwD candidates need a minimum of 50% marks.

Application Fee

BIT MCA application fees vary according to the category of the candidate. The fee for the general category is different from that for reserved categories.

• General category: Rs. 1500
• SC/ST/PwD candidates: Rs. 1000

How to Fill BIT MCA 2024 Application Form

Before applying online, candidates should download the MCA Information Brochure 2024 (pdf) and read it carefully. All items in the form are mandatory and must be filled in.

• Fill all relevant items in capital letters or numbers, or tick the checkbox/radio button as required.
• If any mandatory field is left blank, the form will be rejected.
• All information provided must be correct and accurate. False information or certificates will make the admission null and void and may be punishable under the Indian Penal Code.
• After filling the complete form, the candidate will see a "Lock and Submit Application" button. Once clicked, the form becomes read-only. Candidates can still view or print the form.
• After submission, candidates will be prompted to "Print Application Form". Take a printout and retain it, as it is required during counseling or admission.

On opening the webpage by clicking the link "Click here to Apply Online" under the relevant program heading, a login page opens. The candidate will encounter the required options on this page.

How to Register for BIT MCA 2024

The registration process for BIT MCA 2024 is completed online. Candidates must follow the steps below to create a profile and fill the application form.

Steps for First-Time Registration

• Open the pre-admission online registration portal. Click on the checkboxes and proceed.
• If you have already registered and created a profile, enter your Application Number and password, then click on 'Sign In'.
• For first-time users, enter your Full Name, Email ID, and Mobile number. Click on the Continue button.
• A confirmation message will appear. Click on the checkbox and submit.
• After successful registration, an application ID/number will be generated. Note it down for future correspondence.
• An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
• Enter the OTP on the new page, create a password, and click the submit button. Do not share the password with anyone.
• A message will confirm that your password has been set successfully. Login again.
• Enter your Application ID/number and password. Click on 'Sign In' to fill the application form.

List of Enclosures for BIT MCA 2024

Candidates must submit the following documents along with the application form. Write your Name, Form No., and "MCA-2024" on the back of the photo and each photocopy.

• A print-out of the duly completed online form
• One recent color photograph (same as uploaded on the form), attached by a clip
• Payment receipt towards application fee
• Pass certificate of Class 10 (as proof of age)

For Candidates Graduating in 2024

Candidates graduating in 2024 must enclose marksheets up to the pre-final year. They must also enclose a photocopy of a certificate from the Principal of the Institute stating the following:

• By June 30 2024, the candidate would have appeared for the examination in all subjects required for obtaining the Bachelor's degree.
• The candidate should have obtained requisite marks or equivalent based on the latest available grades/marks.

For Distance Learning Candidates

Candidates with qualifications through correspondence or distance learning must enclose photocopies of the Pass certificate and mark sheets of the qualifying examination. The documents must show that they passed with requisite marks.

Appearing candidates in distance learning programs whose results are yet to be declared are not eligible to apply.

• Caste certificate (if applicable), in proper format and signed by an authority of rank not less than SDO

Reservation Category Requirements

Candidates seeking admission under any reservation category must follow the rules below. The certificate must be in proper format and signed by an appropriate authority of rank not less than SDO.

• Candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC-I, or BC-II categories must obtain caste certificates
• Attach or upload a copy of the certificate
• Candidates with special categories such as Persons with Disability or Kashmiri Migrant must attach or upload a copy of the certificate in proper format
• The certification must be from an appropriate authority
• Candidates must bring the original copy of the certificate during counseling or admission if called for

Candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination with Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Practices as one of the subjects from a recognized board. Candidates seeking admission to Birla Institute of Technology through BIT MCA must keep the following eligibility criteria in mind.

Aspirants must have one of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics
• B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at the graduate level
