Central Admission Committee Exam Pattern 2026
Central Admission Committee Exam Pattern
CENTAC 2026 admission is based on merit, not on a single entrance exam. Your rank is decided by your qualifying examination marks, and the process varies by course category.
- Engineering (B.Tech): Admission is based on your JEE Main score or Class 12 marks, depending on the college and course.
- Medical (MBBS/BDS): Admission is based on your NEET UG score.
- Other courses (Pharmacy, Nursing, Law, Arts & Science): Admission is generally based on your Class 12 (or equivalent) marks.
After the merit list is prepared, you must participate in the counselling process. Counselling covers 3–4 rounds across all streams, including engineering, medical, dental, pharmacy, and law.
During counselling, you fill in your college and course preferences online. Seat allotment is done based on your rank, your preferences, and the availability of seats.
