HP PAT 2024 Exam Pattern
The HP PAT 2024 exam pattern is available on the official website, hptechboard.com. The exam is conducted in offline mode using an OMR sheet.
Answers must be marked on the OMR sheet with a blue or black dot pen. An HB pencil is not allowed.
The question paper covers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. The Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry sections are set in both English and Hindi.
The exam has 150 questions in total. Candidates get 3 hours to complete the paper.
Stray marks or marking more than one answer for a question are not allowed on the OMR sheet. Rough work must be done in the question paper booklet, not on the answer sheet.
Mathematics and Physics carry the highest weightage, with 50 questions each. Physics includes a certain number of numerical-based questions.

HP PAT 2024 Preparation Tips

HP PAT 2024 Exam Day Instructions
Candidates must follow the guidelines below while appearing for HP PAT 2024. These rules cover entry, conduct, and the use of materials during the test.
- Reach the exam centre 30 minutes before the stipulated time.
- The test will be held on the same day and time slot as printed on the admit card.
- Carry the admit card and an ID proof to the examination hall.
- Bring your own ballpoint pen; the Board will not supply any stationery.
- Use of calculators and electronic devices is prohibited.
- The seal of the paper can be opened 5 minutes before the exam starts.
- Write particulars with a black or blue ballpoint pen on both sides of the answer sheet.
- The test is 3 hours long and contains 4 sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, all of Class 10 level.
- Signals will be given at the start of the exam, at half-time, and near the end of the exam.
- Check the test booklet for the number of pages as indicated on the answer sheet, and verify the serial number matches. Contact the invigilator if there is any variation.
- Sign the attendance sheet twice — once when the exam begins and again when handing over the answer sheet to the invigilator.
