Exam Pattern in Detail

The test consists of two sections. Candidates need to score well in both sections to qualify. Candidates get 2 hours to finish each section.

Candidates can apply for either M.Tech in CS or M.Tech in Quality, Operations & Reliability. The exam pattern is slightly different for these two courses.

  • ISI Admission Test consists of 2 parts.
  • Section A contains multiple-choice questions in Mathematics and logical reasoning. The questions are at the undergraduate level.
  • Section B contains descriptive, short answer questions from Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, and Engineering & Technology.

For M.Tech in Quality, Operations & Reliability, Section B has two parts. The first part is for candidates from the statistics/maths stream. The second part is for candidates from the engineering stream.
