Eligibility Criteria

KIITEE 2025 eligibility criteria has been released by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. The eligibility criteria to appear for KIITEE 2025 exam is completely different for each course. It is essential for all candidates to check the eligibility criteria before appearing for the exam.

For the majority of UG programs, KIITEE 2025 eligibility criteria ranges from 45%-50% in class 10+2 in the equivalent field. Similarly, the eligibility criteria for PG and PhD courses goes around 55%-60%. If we talk about the age limit, it is only applicable for BSc Nursing curriculum, where candidates’ minimum age limit should be 17 years as on 31.12.2025. Maximum age limit for KIITEE 2025 exam is 35 years as on 31.12.2025.

Candidates, meeting their course wise eligibility criteria, can fill KIITEE 2025 application form. Although, it must be noted that filling the application form, however, does not guarantee your admission. It certainly depends on certain other factors also. About 15%, 7.5%, and 3% seats reserved for SC, ST, and differently abled students.

KIITEE MBA 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Some details on KIITEE MBA eligibility criteria are given below:

  • Graduates in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with a minimum of 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis) and minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) can apply. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated taking all subjects into consideration including optional subjects. 
  • Where the University/Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, percentage score would be calculated by dividing the obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100. 
  • Those who are in the final year bachelor's degree course and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before June 30, 2025 can also apply. 

A candidate who is going to appear for the final year of graduation is also eligible for KIITEE 2025 exam.

KIITEE 2025 Eligibility for UG Courses

Eligibility criteria of all the UG courses for KIITEE 2025 are given below

For B.Tech/ B.Tech & M.Tech (Biotechnology)

Candidates who want to apply for the 4 years B. Tech courses must follow the following criteria

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in 2025, 2025 or appearing in 10+2 examination in 2025 are only eligible to apply for B.Tech (4 Years) course of the University.
  • Should have studied in regular full time formal education in their schooling/college.
  • Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together.
  • B.Tech & M.Tech Biotechnology. Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology taken together.
  • Should have born on or after 01.07.2004.

For B.Tech Lateral Entry 

Pass in three years diploma course in Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education of any state.

For Bachelor of Architecture

  • A pass10+2 examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 examination. Pass in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi 2025.

For B.Sc Nursing

  • Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
  • Age: Lower age should be 17 years as on 31.12.2025 & upper age limit should be maximum 35 years as on 31.12.2025.

For B.A LLM/BBA LLB/BSc LLB 

  • 10+2 pass or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. For B.Sc. LL.B candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 45% marks

For BBA

  • Pass in 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% marks and having Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Economics/Statistics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level.

For BCA 

  • Pass in 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% marks and having Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level.

For Bachelor of Design (Fashion/Textile)

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Central/State Board with 50% marks in aggregate

For Bachelor of Film & Television Production

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Central/State Board with 50% marks in aggregate.

For Bachelor of Communication & Journalism

For B.Sc Computer Science

  • Pass in 10+2 Science or equivalent having mathematics as one of the subject with at least 50% marks.

For BA in Economics, English, Sociology, Psychology (Hons)

For B.Pharma

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English (PCBE) with at least 45% marks in aggregate

For D.Pharma

For B.Com

For B.Design(Automobile/Product/Graphic)

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Central/State Board with 50% marks in aggregate

Note: A candidate who has passed IB Diploma from International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva, Switzerland are eligible to take admission in all the courses where 10+2 is the eligibility qualification. Other criteria of the eligibility remain as applicable.

KIITEE 2025 Eligibility for PG Courses

The eligibility criteria are different in all the levels of PG courses. Those are given below.

For MCA

  • For this course, a candidate needs to qualify graduation with minimum 50% marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12 or 10+2 or graduation

For MCA

  • Any Graduate with minimum 50% marks in graduation or equivalent having mathematics either in 10+2 or graduation level as one of the subject

For M.Tech/ Int. M.Tech & Ph.D

  • B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent Degree (e.g. AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc) in respective branches of Engineering and Technology with a First Class or equivalent CGPA or First Class MCA / First Class M.Sc. in (Comp/IT/ETC). GATE qualified candidates shall be accorded preference in the process of selection. GATE qualified candidates having Score 400 or above need not sit in the entrance Examination.

For M. Sc in Biotechnology or Applied Microbiology

  • A candidate should have passed 10+2+3 in the stream of Science/Agriculture/Pharmacy/Veterinary/Engineering/Technology/Medicine and has got minimum 55% marks to be eligible for this course.

For M.Sc in Nursing 

  • An applicant needs to pass B.Sc in Nursing or BSc Honours in Nursing with minimum 55% marks in aggregate are eligible for the course. In this case, a minimum 5% relaxation is considered for the reserved candidates like SC/ST candidates.

For LLM

  • For this course, a candidate should have passed B.A LLB/ BBA LLB/B.Sc LLB/B.L or equivalent degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

For Master of Public Health 

  • A candidate who has passed 10+2+3 in Health Science like MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS BNYS/BPT/BSc Nursing with a minimum score of 50% from a recognised board is eligible for the course.

For Master of Hospital Administration

  • Candidate must have passed Bachelors’ degree in Medicine, AYUSH, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences, Physiotherapy, or Allied Health Sciences from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, (or) Bachelor’s degree in Technology (BTech), Computer Application (BCA), Hospital Administration (BHA/BHM), Public Health (BPH/BSc-PH), Business Administration (BBA), Law (LLB) or equivalent degree from a recognized Institute or university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, (or) Bachelors’ degree in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized Institute or university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, (or) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any other discipline from a recognized Institute or university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate

KIITEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Research Program

For Ph.D

Candidate having M.Tech /ME/ MCA/MBA or equivalent Degree with minimum 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA or M.Sc./MA/M.Com/LLM or an equivalent degree with minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent

Note: For all the courses, candidates appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply. But, they have to produce the pass certificate of the qualifying examination on the day of counseling failing which their rank/position secured in the entrance Examination will stand cancelled automatically and they will have no claim for the admissions as per the rank

KIITEE 2025 Reservation Criteria

Reservation criteria are set by the KIIT university for the students from SC/ST categories. This is different from any other categories. A candidate who belongs to the reserved category should know the guidelines set for them by the university. In this case, a candidate needs to show the documents as proof for their reservation.

A reservation criterion for the reserved candidates is tabulated below.

Application Process

KIITEE 2026 Application Form

The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has released the KIITEE 2026 application form at kiitee.kiit.ac.in. The last date to apply for the KIITEE exam is April 8, 2026.

Applicants must enter personal and academic details while applying. They must upload a recent colored passport-size photograph, signature, and Class 10 marksheet. The size limit for the photograph is 500 KB and for the signature and marksheet is 1 MB. There is no KIITEE 2026 application fee.

If a candidate forgets the KIITEE 2026 application number, they can retrieve it using their registered mobile number. Application status can be checked using the application number and password. There is no provision for making corrections in the KIITEE 2026 application form.

After successful registration, the KIITEE 2026 admit card will be available for download. The admit card is essential to carry on the day of the exam.

Exam Pattern

KIITEE 2025 exam pattern is now available in the official website of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. The exam pattern of KIITEE 2025 exam is online proctor based exam and administered as Computer-based test (CBT). KIITEE 2025 exam is held for admission into all UG and PG courses of the said university (except MBBS, BDS, PG Medical & PG Dental). KIITEE exam is conducted in three phases.

The question paper includes a total of 120 MCQs, for any course you choose. Each correct answer allots a +4 mark and there is a -1 mark deduction per incorrect responses. However, unattempted ones are marked as 0. You have to complete KIITEE 2025 exam within 2.5 hours (150 minutes) duration. KIITEE 2025 Exam Pattern for Other Courses

KIITEE 2025 Exam Pattern for other courses are quite different from the MBA courses. But it is necessary to know the details of KIITEE 2025 Exam Pattern for UG or Undergraduate and PG or Postgraduate courses. Some of the details are mentioned below.

  • The entrance exam will be conducted through online

  • All the question papers for the exam will be set in one language i.e English

  • There will be a total number of 120 questions those are objective type

  • There will be four options for the answers of each question and the candidate must be select only one answer otherwise it won’t be valid

  • There is negative marking for all the incorrect answer of each question

  • A candidate will get four marks for each positive answer and one marks will be deducted for each negative answer

  • Total marks will be 480

  • During the exam, a candidate can skip the question for the next one in the question sheet and even in the other section.

B.Tech/ B.Arch

B.Sc (Nursing)

  • These courses have a total of three sections i.e Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with 40 questions in each section. 

  • The course has a total number of 120 MCQ or multiple-choice questions. 

B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

  • The applicant who is looking to get the admission directly in the second year of the course should know KIITEE Exam Pattern for lateral entry. 

  • The course consists of three subjects i.e Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics and Basic Electrical Engineering.

KIITEE 2025 Exam pattern for PG courses are considered for various subjects like MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc and Master of Public Health. There are a total 120 questions for each course in Postgraduate programs. All the courses are discussed below in detail. 

MCA 

  • MCA course for KIITEE 2025 consists of Mathematics, Computer Awareness, Analytical and Logical Ability sections. 

  • There is a total number of 60 Mathematics questions and 30 questions each in both Computer Awareness and Analytical & Logical Ability.

M.Tech

  • M.Tech courses are based on B.Tech syllabus that has single paper containing 120 MCQ or multiple-choice questions.

M.Sc (Biotechnology/ Applied Microbiology)

  • This course has four sections of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. And it has a total of 20 questions in Physics, 20 questions for Mathematics, 30 questions for Chemistry and 50 questions in Biology. 

  • A candidate is asked a question based on the graduate level in the Biology section. For another three sections, the question is asked based on the 10+2 syllabus.

KIITEE 2025 Exam Pattern

KIITEE 2025 is a computer-based test. The total time allotted for the exam is 150 minutes.

Each section of the question paper contains 120 questions. Every question has 4 answer options.

General Instructions for the Test

  • Choose the most appropriate option by clicking on the circle next to it.
  • Click on a question number at the bottom of the screen to go directly to that question.
  • Answered questions appear in green. Unanswered or skipped questions remain in blue.
  • Use the 'Mark for review' button if you are unsure about an answer. This mark is removed if you change the answer later.
  • You can change an answer by selecting the question and clicking on a different option.
  • After you finish all questions in a section, you are automatically taken to the first question of the next section.
