The LPUNEST cutoff is the minimum qualifying score you need for admission and scholarships at LPU. Cutoffs are not fixed; they depend on the exam's difficulty, the number of applicants, and seat availability.
To qualify for LPUNEST, you must score at least 30% of the total marks. For the B.Tech exam, this means scoring about 36 out of 120 marks for General category candidates and 30 out of 120 for SC/ST candidates.
Here are the expected cutoff trends for LPUNEST 2026:
- Bracket I (Top Category): Score 90–100 marks (85–100 percentile) for up to a 70% fee waiver.
- Bracket II: Score 75–89 marks (70–84 percentile) for up to a 50% fee waiver.
- Bracket III: Score 60–74 marks (55–69 percentile) for up to a 30% fee waiver.
- General Admission Cutoff: Score 50–59 marks (40–54 percentile) for admission without a scholarship.
- Low-tier Programs (e.g., Arts, Commerce): Score 40–50 marks (30–39 percentile) for admission with limited seats.
For B.Tech programs, a score of around 85+ marks places you in the top 10th percentile, which guarantees admission with a scholarship. For MBA, you need to score above 75 marks in LPUNEST, or have a CAT percentile above 85, to ensure a top-bracket scholarship.
The top 35 to 40% of candidates will qualify for a scholarship. Candidates scoring above 70% marks fall under the bracket 1 scholarship.
