Does a High Percentile Guarantee Admission?
No. Securing marks as per the MCA cutoff does not guarantee admission to a specific college. It only increases the chances of getting a seat allotted.
For example, VJTI Mumbai's General HS closing percentile in 2025 was 99.75. A score of 99.2 percentile is competitive for SPIT Mumbai and SPPU Pune, but it is likely just short of the VJTI cutoff in Round 1.
Cutoff for Pune Colleges
Top Pune MCA colleges like SPPU and PICT typically require a percentile above 99.30. Mid-tier institutes like MIT or Modern College usually close between 94 and 97.
For Home University (SPPU) candidates, cutoffs are generally slightly lower than for students from other regions of Maharashtra.
