Application Process

MUCMET 2024 Application Form

The MUCMET 2024 application form will be released in the last week of May. The Mumbai University Common Management Entrance Test (MUCMET) form is for admission to the five-year BMS-MBA Integrated Program at the Thane Sub Campus.

The application form will be available on the official website of the University of Mumbai. The form can be filled only in offline mode.

Offline submission involves four steps:

  • Taking a print out of the application form
  • Filling the application form and admit card
  • Getting a Demand Draft (DD) made
  • Submitting the documents

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before filling the MUCMET 2024 application form. The criteria cover age, residential status, and academic qualification.

Age Criteria

  • Candidates must be 20 years old or less as on the date of MUCMET 2024.
  • Candidates from Persons with Disability (PwD), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Vimukta Jati (VJ), Denotified Tribes (DT), Nomadic Tribes (NT), or Special Backward Class (SBC) get a relaxation of 2 years. They can be 22 years old or less as on the examination date.

Residential Criteria

  • Candidates qualified and domiciled in Maharashtra are eligible for 85% of the total number of seats, which is 60.
  • 51 seats are reserved for candidates from Maharashtra.

Academic Qualification

  • Candidates must have cleared 10+2, Higher Secondary School (HSS), Intermediate, or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 45% aggregate marks in any discipline or stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts).
  • Students from SC, ST, OBC, VJ, DT, NT, SBC, or PwD categories must have secured a minimum aggregate of 40% marks.

MUCMET 2024 Registration Dates

Candidates can fill the MUCMET 2024 application form from May 2024. The last date to fill the form is the last week of June 2024.

How to Fill MUCMET 2024 Application Form

The MUCMET 2024 application form can be filled and submitted only through offline mode. Candidates must submit the duly filled form along with other documents to the conducting authority.

Step 1: Taking Print Out of Application Form

Candidates must take a print out of the application form from the official website. The form must be printed and filled carefully.

How to Apply for MUCMET 2024

The application process for MUCMET 2024 is completed offline. Candidates must download the form, fill it by hand, and submit it with the required documents and fee.

Step 1: Download the Application Form

  • Visit the official website of University of Mumbai.
  • Click on the 'Thane Sub Campus' tab at the top of the webpage.
  • Click on the 'B.M.S. – M.B.A. (Integrated)' tab.
  • Click on 'Important Instruction and Application form for MUCMET 2024-25'.
  • The MUCMET 2024 Application form, Admit Card, and Instructions will download.
  • Take a printout of the Application Form and Admit Card.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

Candidates must fill the MUCMET 2024 Application Form and Admit Card with a black pen. All details must be written in Capital Letters.

Once submitted, no changes to the application form will be allowed. The form requires the following details:

  • Name
  • Mother's Full Name
  • Address with State, City, and Pin Code
  • Residential and Mobile Phone Numbers
  • Email ID
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Educational Qualification
  • Category
  • Special Category
  • Maharashtra Domicile
  • DD Amount and other details

  • Passport size photo to be pasted at the given place
  • Signature of Candidate

The Admit Card requires the candidate's name, a passport size photograph (signed across the photograph), and the candidate's signature.

Step 3: Pay the Application Fee via Demand Draft

Each candidate must submit a Demand Draft (DD) along with the application form. No form will be accepted without the DD.

The DD can be obtained from any nationalized bank. It must be drawn in favour of 'Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai'.

The DD amount depends on the candidate's category:

  • General (Open) category: INR 500
  • SC, ST, OBC, VJ, DT, NT, SBC, or PwD category: INR 250

Details of the DD must be filled in the application form.

Step 4: Submit Documents

Candidates must submit photocopies of the following documents with the application form:

  1. Certificates of Age
  2. Certificate of Caste (for reserved category candidates)
  3. Mark sheet and certificate of 10th class examination
  4. Mark sheet and certificate of 10+2/HHS/Intermediate or equivalent examination
  5. Certificate for Physically Handicap
  6. Domicile Certificate

These documents, along with 2 passport size photographs, the DD, the Application Form, and the Admit Card, must be submitted to:

Forms must be submitted on or before the last day of submission. The admit card will be returned later with the Seat No. and the University stamp. No candidate can enter the examination hall without a valid admit card. Candidates should keep a copy of the filled application form for future reference.

Exam Pattern

MUCMET 2024 Exam Pattern

MUCMET 2024 is conducted in offline mode, which is a pen and paper test. The question paper has 50 multiple choice questions for a total of 100 marks.

The exam is held in English language only. Candidates get 120 minutes to complete the paper.

There are four sections in the MUCMET 2024 question paper:

Marking Scheme

Each question carries equal marks in the question paper. Candidates get 2 marks for every correct answer.

For every incorrect response, 0.5 marks are deducted. There is no deduction for unattempted questions.

Exam Conduct and Purpose

Mumbai University conducts MUCMET once every year. The exam is for candidates seeking admission to the five-year integrated BMS-MMS Program.

This program is offered at the university's Thane Sub Campus. Candidates must follow all instructions written in the admit card and given by the invigilator.

MUCMET 2024 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must follow specific instructions on the exam day. These rules help avoid any discrepancy.

  • Candidates should reach the exam center 1 hour prior to the commencement of exam.
  • They must bring MUCMET 2024 admit card on the day of exam, without the admit card entry in the examination hall is not allowed.
  • Students must also take 2 passport size photographs on the examination day for verification.
  • No electronic item is allowed in the examination hall which is considered as the subject of cheating.
  • No extra rough sheet is allowed in the examination hall. Margin will be given to do rough work in the test booklet.
  • Candidates should also follow all the instructions given by the invigilator in the examination hall.
  • Do not open the test booklet without permission from the invigilator.
  • Fill the required details in the answer sheet. The result may not be evaluated if the details are not entered or entered correctly.
  • It is not allowed to clarify doubts on any item in test booklet from the invigilator.
  • Candidates can only use black or blue ball point pen to darken the circle.
  • Answer should be marked properly by darkening the circle in the OMR sheet.
  • Failure to follow instruction written in the examination will lead to disqualification.
  • Candidates found with any barred items inside the examination hall will be disqualified.

Results

MUCMET 2024 Result

The MUCMET 2024 result is expected to be declared in July. The entrance test is tentatively scheduled for the second week of June. The result will be published on the official Mumbai University website, mu.ac.in.

Candidates can access the result using their registration number and password. Selection will be based on the All India Merit Rank from the MUCMET 2024 result. The names of successful candidates will be displayed along with their seat numbers.

How to Check MUCMET Result 2024?

The MUCMET 2024 result will be available online only on the official website. Results will not be sent by hand or by post. Candidates must visit the website to check their result online.

Selection will be based on a merit list. The merit list will be displayed on the official website.

  • Visit the website mu.ac.in.
  • Click on the tab "Exam and Results".
  • You will be directed to a new page.
  • Click on the tab "Results".
  • Search for MUCMET 2024 Result.
  • Log in using your registered id and password.
  • The Result sheet will be displayed on the screen.
  • Check your seat number or your name on the list.
  • If your name is on the list of successful candidates, take a print-out of the same for further reference.

Note: MUCMET Results will be declared in various rounds until the number of seats gets completely filled in the respective colleges.

Details on MUCMET 2024 Scorecard

The result is displayed in two ways. One list shows the names of the successful candidates. The other list is a scorecard with the following details:

  • The answer sheet in pdf form will be displayed.
  • Download it and compare your answers with the answer key.

MUCMET Result 2024 Counselling

All successful candidates in MUCMET 2024 will be called for counseling and admission. Candidates need to visit the Mumbai University at Thane Campus on the allotted date with the required documents.

  • First, the MUCMET 1 Result or Merit List will be displayed on the website, and admission/counselling dates will be allotted for successful candidates.
  • The successful candidates who come for the counselling will get admission.
  • Next, the MUCMET 2 Result will be released, and another admission/counselling date will be allotted.
  • Once the counseling of the successful candidates of the second list is completed, the third list is released.
  • The third list will be the final list, and students are requested to secure their admissions on or before the last date of admission.
