NEST 2026 Application Process
The online application process for NEST 2026 has started on January 5, 2026. The last date to apply is April 6, 2026, up to 11:30 PM.
The NEST 2026 application correction window will be open from April 13 to April 14, 2026. Candidates will need their registration number and date of birth to make changes.
There is no offline mode to apply for the NEST 2026 entrance exam. No candidate will be allowed to submit the application form after the last date.

How to Fill NEST 2026 Application Form
The NEST 2026 application form must be filled online from the official website of NEST. It can only be filled via online mode.
The details filled in the application form will appear on the admit card, scorecard, and other important documents. If any detail is found incorrect or not genuine, NEST can take appropriate action against the student.
Step 1: Registration
- Visit the official website, www.nestexam.in
- Register yourself by entering your basic details.
- Click on the link you receive on your registered email address for confirmation.
- Login with the registered email id & password.
Step 2: Application Form Filling
- After logging in, the NEST application form 2026 will be displayed on the monitor.
- Fill the form with valid details, including personal details (name, gender, date of birth, religion, etc.) and educational details (address, email ID and mobile number).
- Save and submit the form.
- Note down the application ID.
- Candidates will have to choose a security question-answer as per their wish and preferred examination centers.
- Download and take a print of the application form.
Step 3: Uploading Images and Documents
Documents to Upload in NEST Application Form
You must upload a scanned passport-size photograph and your signature in the format specified by NEST.
The resolution and size of each scanned document must match NEST guidelines. The system will reject the upload if the resolution and size are not as prescribed.
NEST Application Fee Payment
Pay the application fee online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. The fee is non-refundable.
After payment, take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
The application fee depends on the candidate's category and gender:
- Male (General/OBC) candidates: INR 1000.
- SC/ST, female, and PD candidates: INR 500.

All the fields listed above are mandatory. The application form cannot be submitted without them.
Candidates must also scan all education-related documents, along with the passport-size photograph and signature, and upload them.
NEST 2026 Application Form Correction
There is no correction facility for the NEST 2026 application form. Candidates should fill in the form correctly in one attempt.
If any information is found incorrect or invalid, the exam authority may treat it as a serious offense. The authority has the right to nullify the submitted application form.
