Osmania University Common Entrance Test Application Process

What is TG CPGET (OUCET) 2026?

TG CPGET (Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Test) is the state-level PG entrance test for Telangana. It was formerly called OUCET (Osmania University Common Entrance Test). The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) conducts the exam.

The test is for admission to postgraduate programmes at nine state universities in Telangana and their affiliated colleges. Programmes include M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., M.Ed., MSW, MCJ, MLibISc, and 5-year integrated courses. Kakatiya University is the organising university for the 2026 cycle. The test covers over 40 subjects. Admissions are for the 2026–27 academic year.

The application form opened on May 15, 2026. The deadline to apply without a late fee is June 10, 2026. The exam is computer-based (CBT) with 100 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes. It is tentatively scheduled for the first week of July 2026. Applications are accepted only online at cpget.tgche.ac.in. No offline forms are accepted.

TG CPGET (OUCET) 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Verify your eligibility before you begin the application. TGCHE rejects ineligible applications, and the fee is non-refundable in those cases.

  • Educational qualification: You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject from a UGC-recognised university. Students in their final year are eligible to apply, provided their results are available before the admission process begins.
  • Minimum marks: General and OBC students need at least 40% marks in graduation. SC/ST students need only a pass — no minimum percentage applies.
  • Age limit: There is no age limit for TG CPGET 2026.
  • Nationality: Indian nationals can apply. Foreign nationals and NRIs may apply under the NRI/Foreign Nationals quota as notified by individual universities.
  • Domicile: Students from any state can apply. Telangana local and non-local status is applied at the counselling stage by individual universities and does not affect your eligibility to sit the exam.

Note: Degrees obtained through open/distance learning from unrecognised institutions and single-subject degrees do NOT satisfy TG CPGET eligibility. Verify that your graduation degree is from a UGC-recognised university before submitting your application — a rejected application does not attract a fee refund.

How to Fill TG CPGET (OUCET) Application Form 2026

The entire application is online at cpget.tgche.ac.in. Complete both phases in a single session if possible — a partially submitted form that is abandoned before fee payment will not be processed.

Phase 1: New Registration

  1. Visit cpget.tgche.ac.in and click "New Registration".
  2. Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID exactly as they appear on your Class 10 certificate. Any mismatch will cause issues at the admit card and counselling stage.
  3. Verify your mobile number with the OTP sent via SMS. Your email address will also receive a verification link — confirm both before proceeding.
  4. Set a strong password and note your Application Number immediately. You will need these credentials for every subsequent step, including admit card download, result, and counselling login.
  5. Log out, check that you can log back in successfully, then proceed to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Fill the Application Form

  1. Log in at cpget.tgche.ac.in using your Application Number and Password.
  2. Fill in personal details: name, date of birth, gender, category (General / OBC / SC / ST / PH), nationality, and parent or guardian information.
  3. Fill in academic details: graduation degree name, university, year of passing, roll number, and percentage of marks. Final-year students should enter their latest available marks.
  4. Select the PG programme and subject you are applying for. If you want to appear for more than one subject, select additional subjects and pay ₹450 per extra subject.
  5. Choose your exam centre preferences from the listed Telangana district centres. Enter your choices in order of preference.
  6. Upload your photograph and signature in the required JPG format and within the specified file size limits (see the Documents section below).
  7. Review every field carefully — verify your name spelling, date of birth, category, and programme against your original documents before moving to payment.
  8. Pay the application fee via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. The payment page is secured; do not close the browser while the transaction is processing.
  9. After successful payment, download and save your confirmation page. Take a printout and keep it safe.

Note: Submit only one application form. Multiple applications from the same student will be rejected and the fee will not be refunded.

Download and keep your confirmation page safe — it is required for admit card download, exam entry, and counselling.

The application fee is non-refundable — even if you withdraw your application or do not appear for the exam.

TG CPGET (OUCET) Application Form Correction 2026

TGCHE opens a correction window from June 16 to June 19, 2026 for students to fix errors in their submitted application. This is the only official opportunity to correct mistakes before the admit card is generated — use it carefully.

What You Can Correct

  • Minor spelling errors in your name (the corrected name must match your official documents)
  • Date of birth, if incorrectly entered
  • Category (General / OBC / SC / ST / PH)
  • Photograph and signature, if the original upload was flagged as non-compliant
  • Exam centre preference
  • Programme or subject selection (subject to availability at the time of correction)

What Cannot Be Changed

  • Application number
  • Registered mobile number and email ID used at the time of registration
  • Fundamental academic qualification details that alter the basis of eligibility

How to Make Corrections

  1. Visit cpget.tgche.ac.in between June 16 and June 19, 2026.
  2. Log in with your Application Number and Password.
  3. Click "Application Form Correction" and edit the relevant fields.
  4. Submit the corrected form and download the revised confirmation page.
  5. The revised confirmation page supersedes the original — keep it as your authoritative reference document for admit card download and counselling.

Note: Once the correction window closes on June 19, 2026, no changes are accepted under any circumstances — verify all your details before the deadline.

Check all details before the correction window closes — once it shuts on June 19, no changes are accepted under any circumstances.
