SRMJEEE 2026: Detailed Exam Pattern

The SRMJEEE 2026 question paper has four sections, with all questions carrying 1 mark each. Engineering (B.Tech) students attempt Mathematics. Health science students (B.Tech Biotechnology, Bioinformatics) attempt Biology in place of Mathematics. Both options carry 40 questions for 40 marks.

SRMJEEE 2026 is a 150-minute remote-proctored CBT with 130 questions carrying a total of 130 marks. The full 150-minute window is shared across all sections, with no per-section time limit.

Section Subject No. of Questions Marks per Question Total Marks Duration
Section 1 Physics 35 +1 35
Section 2 Chemistry 35 +1 35
Section 3 Mathematics (Engineering) / Biology (Health Sciences) 40 +1 40
Section 4 English & Aptitude 20 +1 20

Engineering B.Tech students attempt Mathematics. Students applying for B.Tech Biotechnology or B.Tech Bioinformatics attempt Biology instead. Both streams carry equal weightage: 40 questions and 40 marks.

No per-section time limit applies. The Duration column shows "—" for individual sections because the 150 minutes is a shared pool. The exam is held in two sessions per day — Morning session: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and Afternoon session: 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The pattern is identical across all sessions and all three phases.

SRMJEEE Marking Scheme 2026

SRMJEEE 2026 uses a straightforward marking scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer and 0 marks for wrong or unattempted answers. Unlike JEE Main and NEET, SRMJEEE carries no negative marking in any section.

Question Type Marks for Correct Answer Marks for Wrong Answer Marks for Unattempted
MCQ (Single Correct Answer) — All Sections +1 0 (No deduction) 0

There is no negative marking in SRMJEEE 2026 — attempt all 130 questions to maximise your score. The no-penalty rule applies equally across Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English & Aptitude.

Even if you eliminate two wrong options and guess between the remaining two, your expected score from that question is +0.5 — always better than leaving it blank.

SRMJEEE Exam Pattern: Changes in 2026 vs Previous Year

The SRMJEEE exam pattern underwent a significant revision in 2025, when the total question count rose from 125 to 130 and the English & Aptitude section was expanded. That revised pattern continues into 2026 without further changes — no new structural modifications are confirmed for 2026 over 2025.

Parameter SRMJEEE 2025 SRMJEEE 2026
Total Questions 130 130 — No change
Total Marks 130 130 — No change
Duration 150 minutes 150 minutes — No change
Mode Remote Proctored Online (RPOM) Remote Proctored Online (RPOM) — No change
Physics Questions 35 35 — No change
Chemistry Questions 35 35 — No change
Mathematics / Biology Questions 40 40 — No change
English & Aptitude Questions 20 20 — No change
Negative Marking No No — No change
Question Types MCQ only MCQ only — No change

The SRMJEEE 2026 exam pattern is unchanged from 2025 — students who used 2025 study resources and mock tests can continue with the same strategy.

For context: the jump from 125 (pre-2025) to 130 questions was driven by SRMIST’s decision to give English & Aptitude a larger standalone footprint. Earlier editions had a combined 15-question English & Aptitude block (English: 5, Aptitude: 10); the current format allocates 20 questions to this section, reflecting the institute’s emphasis on communication and reasoning skills alongside technical knowledge.

How to Prepare Based on SRMJEEE Exam Pattern

Your preparation plan for SRMJEEE 2026 must be built around the specific structure of the exam: 130 equal-weight MCQs, no negative marking, 4 sections, 150 minutes, and home-based remote proctoring. Here is a pattern-driven strategy.

SRMJEEE 2026 Preparation Strategy

Prioritise Mathematics or Biology First

Section 3 carries the most questions with 40 marks. For engineering students, Calculus (11–12 questions) and Algebra (8–9 questions) together account for nearly half the Mathematics section.

Secure these topics first before moving to other sections in a study plan.

Time Allocation Per Section

With 150 minutes for 130 questions, a candidate has roughly 69 seconds per question. Target 40 minutes for Mathematics/Biology, 35 minutes each for Physics and Chemistry, and 15–20 minutes for English & Aptitude.

Practise this allocation in mock tests before Phase 2.

Attempt Every Question

SRMJEEE has zero negative marking, so leaving any question blank is a guaranteed 0. Even a random guess gives an expected gain of +0.25 marks.

Eliminate obviously wrong options first, then commit to the best remaining choice.

Set Up the Remote Exam Environment Early

Install the SRMJEEE Safe Exam Browser at least 3 days before Phase 2. Test the webcam and internet speed, and check lighting.

Proctors can terminate sessions for technical failures, so a working setup is as important as subject preparation.

Treat English & Aptitude as a Score Booster

This section carries 20 marks and most engineering aspirants underinvest in it. Spending 10–15 focused study days on quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning can add 15–18 marks with minimal subject-matter complexity.

Use Sectional Freedom

There is no per-section time limit in SRMJEEE 2026. If stuck on a Physics question, mark it for review and move to Chemistry or Aptitude.

Time spent stuck on one question is never recovered.

Align Syllabus with NCERT

The SRMJEEE syllabus maps directly to NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks. Candidates preparing for JEE Main or NEET already cover SRMJEEE's syllabus.

Only the MCQ-only, no-penalty format needs adjustment during practice.

Cut-offs

What is SRMJEEE 2026 Cutoff?

The SRMJEEE 2026 cutoff is the closing rank at which the last seat is filled in a branch at a given campus during counselling. SRM Institute of Science and Technology does not publish an official cutoff PDF.

The closing ranks emerge from the seat allotment process after each counselling phase ends. Two types of cutoffs matter for SRMJEEE:

  • Qualifying cutoff: The minimum rank needed to register for SRMJEEE counselling and choose a branch. SRM sets this broadly so most rankers can participate.
  • Admission cutoff: The actual closing rank at which seats in a branch fill up during counselling. This is the number to track for college planning.

The admission cutoff is what students commonly refer to as the SRMJEEE cutoff. It tells the toughest rank that still received a seat in that branch and campus combination.

SRMJEEE 2026 Cutoff: Important Dates

SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 3 seat allotment was declared on July 14, 2026. Final closing ranks for all phases will be compiled after the reporting window closes.

Factors Affecting SRMJEEE Cutoff

Several factors decide how tight or relaxed the SRMJEEE cutoff is in a given year. Knowing these helps you set a realistic rank target.

  • Total number of applicants: A larger candidate pool pushes closing ranks lower. More competition means fewer seats per rank band.
  • Number of seats available: SRM sometimes increases intake for popular branches. More seats can relax the closing rank slightly.
  • Exam difficulty: A tougher paper compresses scores at the top. This can shift rank boundaries by hundreds of positions.
  • Branch demand: CSE and its specialisations always have the tightest closing ranks. Civil and Chemical Engineering have the most relaxed cutoffs.
  • Campus preference: Kattankulathur is the most sought-after campus. Its closing ranks are tighter than other SRM campuses for the same branch.
  • Phase of counselling: Phase 1 sees the most competitive closing ranks. Phase 3 has higher (more relaxed) ranks because top rankers join in earlier phases.
  • Scholarship eligibility: SRM’s merit scholarships for ranks within 30,000 draw more applicants to specific branches. This tightens closing ranks for those branches.

SRMJEEE Cutoff 2026: Campus-Wise

SRM Group operates multiple campuses across India. Each campus has a different closing rank for the same branch.

Your SRMJEEE score determines your rank. The exam has 130 questions worth one mark each. There is no negative marking. Your rank depends on how you score relative to all candidates in your phase.

The table below shows the approximate score-to-rank mapping based on historical counselling patterns.

SRMJEEE Score (out of 130) Expected Rank Range Likely Branch and Campus
115 – 130 1 – 1,000 Any branch at Kattankulathur
100 – 114 1,000 – 5,000 CSE or ECE at Kattankulathur
85 – 99 5,000 – 12,000 CSE at Kattankulathur (borderline), CSE at SRM AP
70 – 84 12,000 – 25,000 ECE or EEE at Kattankulathur, CSE at SRM AP
55 – 69 25,000 – 50,000 Mechanical or EEE at Kattankulathur, ECE at SRM AP
40 – 54 50,000 – 70,000 Ramapuram or NCR campuses, Civil or Aerospace

Aim for a score of 85 or above for CSE at Kattankulathur. Scoring 100 or more gives you a strong chance at top branches at the main campus.

If two candidates score the same, SRM ranks them by marks in Physics first, then Chemistry, then Mathematics. This tie-breaking order matters when you are close to a branch’s closing rank.

SRMJEEE Counselling Process and How to Check Cutoff

SRMJEEE counselling runs in three phases. Each phase fills a portion of the total seats. The closing rank for each branch depends on how many seats are filled per phase.

  • Phase 1: Top-ranked candidates register first. Closing ranks here are the tightest of all three phases.
  • Phase 2: Remaining seats after Phase 1 are offered. Closing ranks are slightly more relaxed than Phase 1.
  • Phase 3: Final leftover seats are offered. Closing ranks are the most relaxed because top-ranked candidates have already joined in earlier phases.

The difference between Phase 1 and Phase 3 closing ranks can be 5,000 to 15,000 ranks for popular branches. If you miss Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 still offer strong options at the right campus.

To check the SRMJEEE 2026 cutoff, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official SRMJEEE website at srmist.edu.in/srmjeee.
  2. Look for the seat allotment result or closing rank notification link on the admissions page.
  3. Download the seat allotment result file once it is published.
  4. The last rank listed for each branch and campus is the closing rank for that phase.
  5. Compare your rank with the closing ranks to check which branch and campus you are eligible for.

The Phase 3 seat allotment was declared on July 14, 2026. A consolidated closing rank list is expected after the reporting window closes. Keep checking the official website for the latest update.

SRMJEEE Result Previous Year Statistics

SRMJEEE consistently attracts over 1.5 lakh candidates each year, making it one of the larger private university entrance exams in India. The table below covers five cycles, showing how candidate participation and result timelines have moved year on year.

SRMIST does not publish official phase-wise candidate counts, so figures below are based on publicly available trend data.

SRMJEEE Result 2026: Year-Wise Trends

SRMIST conducts the SRMJEEE in three phases each year. The table below shows the approximate number of candidates who appeared and the result declaration dates for recent years.

Year Approx. Candidates Appeared Phase 1 Result Phase 2 Result Phase 3 Result
2026 2 lakh+ (est.) May 5, 2026 June 22, 2026 July 9, 2026
2025 ~1.75–2 lakh May 5, 2025 June 25, 2025 July 10, 2025
2024 ~1.6–1.7 lakh Late April/May 2024 June–July 2024 July 2024
2023 ~2 lakh May 2023 June 2023 July 2023
2022 2.5 lakh+ May 2022 June 2022 July 2022

Candidate count figures are approximate. SRMIST does not publish official phase-wise statistics. The 2026 Phase 3 result date is confirmed.

SRMIST declares phase results within four to seven days of the last exam date for that phase. The 2026 Phase 3 result was declared on July 9, just four days after the July 4–5 exam. If a supplementary or spot round happens in a future year, results are expected within the same window.

Closing Rank Trends for CSE and ECE

The table below shows the approximate closing rank trend for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at SRM Kattankulathur, the flagship campus. These figures are based on publicly reported trend data and are indicative. SRMIST does not publish an official branch-wise closing rank archive.

Year SRM Kattankulathur — CSE Closing Rank (Approx.) SRM Kattankulathur — ECE Closing Rank (Approx.)
2025 ~3,500–4,500 ~6,000–7,000
2024 ~3,000–4,000 ~5,500–7,000
2023 ~3,500–5,000 ~6,000–8,000
2022 ~4,000–5,500 ~7,000–9,000

Estimated closing ranks are based on trend data. 2026 closing ranks will be confirmed after Phase 3 seat allotment on July 14, 2026.

Competition for CSE at Kattankulathur has tightened by roughly 10–15% over three years. The closing rank has moved inward, meaning a better rank is needed today than in 2022 to secure the same seat. A rank under 4,000 gives a strong chance at CSE at the flagship campus. A rank between 4,000 and 7,000 makes ECE at Kattankulathur or CSE at other campuses the realistic target.

SRMJEEE Result 2026: How to Check

Checking the SRMJEEE 2026 result takes under two minutes. The application number and either the date of birth or the password set during registration are required.

  • Step 1: Open the official SRMJEEE portal — srmist.edu.in/srmjeee.
  • Step 2: Click "Applicant Login" or the rank card / result link on the homepage.
  • Step 3: Enter the application number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format — or use the registered password.
  • Step 4: Click "Submit". The rank card loads on screen.
  • Step 5: Check the AIR, category rank, total score, normalised score, percentile, and subject-wise breakdown.
  • Step 6: Click "Download" or print the page to save the rank card as a PDF. Keep a printout for counselling and campus reporting.

If the password is forgotten, use "Forgot Password" on the login page and reset it via the registered email or mobile number. The most common reason for login failure is entering the date of birth in the wrong format — it must be DD/MM/YYYY, not YYYY-MM-DD or any other variant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ques. What login details do I need to check my SRMJEEE 2026 result?

Ans. The SRMJEEE 2026 application number and either the date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) or the password set during registration are needed. Both combinations work on the login page at srmist.edu.in. If issues arise, use "Forgot Password" to reset via the registered email or phone number.

Ques. The result page is not loading or shows an error. What should I do?

Ans. Heavy traffic often slows the portal in the hours right after a result goes live. Wait 15–30 minutes and try again. Check that the date of birth is in DD/MM/YYYY format — an incorrect format is the most frequent cause of login failure. If the problem persists after a few hours, contact SRMIST admissions support through the official srmist.edu.in contact page.

SRMJEEE 2026 Rank Card

The SRMJEEE 2026 rank card is the official document that captures the full performance in the exam. It is needed at every stage — counselling registration, choice filling, seat acceptance, and final campus reporting. Save a digital copy and print at least two copies before counselling starts.

Understanding the SRMJEEE 2026 Rank Card

The rank card contains several fields that determine counselling eligibility and seat allotment. Each field serves a specific purpose in the admission process.

Detail on Rank Card What It Means
All India Rank (AIR) Your position among all candidates who appeared in the same phase — used directly for seat allotment
Category Rank Your rank within your declared category (General / OBC / SC / ST)
Total Score (Raw Marks) Your actual marks out of 130 — one mark per correct answer, no deduction for wrong answers
Normalised Score Score adjusted for difficulty variation across exam shifts — the basis for your AIR
Percentile Percentage of candidates you scored equal to or better than
Subject-wise Marks Separate scores for Physics (35Q), Chemistry (35Q), Mathematics (40Q), English & Aptitude (20Q)
Application Number Your unique ID for counselling login, correspondence, and verification
Photograph & Signature As uploaded during application — verified at campus reporting
Qualifying Status Indicates whether you are eligible for counselling participation

Your AIR comes from your normalised score, not raw marks. SRMJEEE 2026 ran across multiple shifts over each phase window.

Since shifts can vary slightly in difficulty, SRMIST applies normalisation to level the field. A candidate who appeared in a harder shift may end up with a better AIR than someone with higher raw marks from an easier shift. If your rank and raw score feel mismatched, this adjustment is the reason.

If you spot a factual error on your rank card — wrong name, wrong date of birth, wrong photograph — report it to SRMIST admissions through the portal immediately. Waiting until campus reporting day will cause delays that may cost you your seat.

SRMJEEE 2026 Qualifying Marks

SRMJEEE does not set a fixed minimum qualifying score. Every candidate who appears receives an AIR and can participate in counselling — there is no pass-fail cutoff.

Your rank determines how many seat options you have. A better rank means more campuses and branches available to you during choice filling.

Based on 2024 and 2025 trends, the table below shows approximate score ranges and their typical counselling outcomes. These are indicative figures — not official cutoffs published by SRMIST.

Score Range (out of 130) Expected AIR Band Typical Seat Outcome
110–130 Under 2,000 CSE, CSE-AI/ML at SRM Kattankulathur
90–109 2,000–6,000 ECE/CSE at Kattankulathur; CSE at Ramapuram, NCR Delhi
70–89 6,000–12,000 ECE/Mechanical at Kattankulathur; good branches at other campuses
50–69 12,000–20,000 Civil/EEE at Kattankulathur; CSE/ECE at Amaravati, Modinagar
Below 50 Above 20,000 Seats at other campuses; fewer branch choices

Estimated score-to-rank ranges are based on historical trend data. Actual closing ranks vary by year and depend on the choices of higher-ranked candidates during counselling. SRMIST does not officially publish category-wise minimum qualifying marks.

For SC and ST candidates, the scores that typically lead to seat allotment — based on 2025 trends — are around 40–55 and 35–50 out of 130 respectively. OBC candidates generally need around 55–70. These correspond to ranks in the 20,000–50,000 range, where seats at campuses like Amaravati and Modinagar tend to be more accessible.

Is there a minimum score to qualify for SRMJEEE 2026 counselling?

No. SRMJEEE does not set a minimum cutoff score. Every candidate who appeared gets an AIR and can register for counselling. Your rank determines your seat options — a higher rank means more campus and branch choices during choice filling.

What is a good score in SRMJEEE 2026?

A score above 110 out of 130 typically puts you in the top 2,000 ranks — giving you a strong shot at CSE or CSE-AI/ML at SRM Kattankulathur, the most competitive campus and branch combination. A score above 90 is generally enough for a solid branch at one of the other SRM campuses. Below 50, your seat options narrow considerably.

SRMJEEE 2026 Marks vs Rank

Because SRMJEEE 2026 ran across multiple shifts and dates, SRMIST normalises raw scores before assigning ranks. Your rank is based on your normalised score, so it may not match what you would expect purely from your raw marks.

The table below shows an expected correspondence between raw marks and AIR — built on 2025 patterns and the same scoring scale (130 marks total, no negative marking).

SRMJEEE Marks vs Rank 2026 (Expected)

The table below shows the expected All India Rank (AIR) for different score ranges in SRMJEEE 2026. These are approximate values based on 2025 trend data.

Marks (out of 130) Expected AIR (Approximate)
121–130 Under 500
111–120 500–2,000
96–110 2,001–6,000
81–95 6,001–12,000
66–80 12,001–20,000
51–65 20,001–30,000
Below 50 Above 30,000

Actual ranks depend on the 2026 candidate pool and SRMIST's normalisation process. SRMIST does not publish an official marks-vs-rank correspondence table.

If two candidates have the same normalised score, SRMIST uses subject-wise marks as a tiebreaker. The order is Physics first, then Chemistry, then Mathematics. A strong Physics score can push a candidate's effective rank above someone with the identical normalised score.

FAQs

When was SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 3 result declared?

SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 3 result was declared on July 9, 2026, on the official website srmist.edu.in — four days after the Phase 3 exam (July 4–5). Phase 3 counselling began the very next day, July 10, 2026.

How many phases did SRMJEEE 2026 have, and when were results declared for each?

SRMJEEE 2026 had three phases. Phase 1 result was declared on May 5, 2026 (exam: April 24–29). Phase 2 result came on June 22, 2026 (exam: June 10–15). Phase 3 result was declared on July 9, 2026 (exam: July 4–5). Each phase has its own independent rank list and counselling round — they are not merged.

Where do I check my SRMJEEE 2026 result?

Go to srmist.edu.in, click "Applicant Login", and enter your application number with your date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) or password. Your rank card appears on login. Download and save it as a PDF.

Do Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 candidates share the same rank list?

No. Each phase produces its own independent rank list from among the candidates who appeared in that phase. Your Phase 3 AIR compares you only to other Phase 3 candidates — it is not combined with Phase 1 or Phase 2 ranks. Counselling for each phase draws exclusively from its own rank list.

Can I get admission to SRM with a rank above 30,000 in Phase 3?

It is possible, though your options will be limited. With a rank above 30,000, CSE and ECE at Kattankulathur are unlikely. You may still find open seats in Civil, Mechanical, or EEE at Kattankulathur, or in better branches at campuses like Amaravati, Modinagar, or NCR Delhi where filling is slower. Fill as many preferences as you can during choice filling to maximise your chances.

What is the counselling fee for SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 3?

The counselling fee for SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 3 is Rs. 10,000 (registration fee) plus Rs. 1,00,000 (counselling fee). This payment must be made between July 14 and July 20, 2026, to accept the allotted seat.

The total fee to confirm a seat after Phase 3 allotment is Rs. 1,10,000. This amount includes Rs. 10,000 as a registration fee and Rs. 1,00,000 as a counselling or seat confirmation fee.

Both payments must be made online by July 20, 2026. Missing this deadline will release the allotted seat to the next candidate on the list.

Score Normalisation in SRMJEEE 2026

SRMJEEE 2026 was conducted in multiple shifts. Each shift can vary slightly in difficulty level.

SRMIST applies a normalisation formula to adjust raw scores and remove this variation. This ensures candidates from harder shifts are not at a disadvantage. The All India Rank (AIR) is based entirely on the normalised score, which is why raw marks and rank may not show the expected relationship.

Campuses Accepting SRMJEEE 2026 Scores

SRMJEEE 2026 ranks are accepted at all six SRM campuses. These include Kattankulathur (Chennai), Ramapuram (Chennai), Vadapalani (Chennai), NCR Delhi, Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), and Modinagar (Uttar Pradesh).

During counselling choice filling, candidates can select any combination of campus and programme as preferences.

Re-evaluation of SRMJEEE 2026 Result

No re-evaluation or re-checking of scores is available after the final result is published. The answer key objection window closes before the final result is declared, and any valid corrections are already incorporated at that stage.

SRMJEEE is a computer-based test, so there is no provision for score re-evaluation. If a factual error appears on the rank card, such as a wrong name or date of birth, candidates should report it directly to SRMIST admissions support through srmist.edu.in before counselling begins.

Validity of SRMJEEE 2026 Rank

The SRMJEEE 2026 rank is valid only for B.Tech admissions in the academic year 2026–27. It cannot be carried forward to the next admission cycle.

Candidates who want a second attempt must register and appear for SRMJEEE 2027.

Documents Required for Campus Reporting

The following documents are required when reporting to the allotted SRM campus:

  • SRMJEEE 2026 rank card (printout)
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • Date of birth proof
  • Category certificate for OBC/SC/ST candidates
  • Transfer certificate
  • Aadhaar card
  • 6–8 recent passport-size photographs

Candidates must carry originals and two sets of self-attested photocopies of each document.

*The article might have information for the previous academic years, which will be updated soon subject to the notification issued by the University/College.

SRMJEEE 2026 Result: Key Facts

SRMJEEE 2026 results are declared phase-wise on the official website srmist.edu.in. Each phase has its own independent rank list and counselling round.

The exam had three phases. Phase 1 result was declared on May 5, 2026 (exam: April 24-29). Phase 2 result came on June 22, 2026 (exam: June 10-15). Phase 3 result was declared on July 9, 2026 (exam: July 4-5), four days after the Phase 3 exam.

How to Check SRMJEEE 2026 Result

Go to srmist.edu.in and click "Applicant Login". Enter your application number with your date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) or the password you set during registration.

Your rank card appears on login. Download and save it as a PDF.

Login Details for Result

You need your SRMJEEE 2026 application number and either your date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) or the password you set during registration. Both combinations work on the login page at srmist.edu.in.

If you face issues, use "Forgot Password" to reset via your registered email or phone number.

Result Page Not Loading

Heavy traffic often slows the portal in the hours right after a result goes live. Wait 15-30 minutes and try again.

Check that your date of birth is in DD/MM/YYYY format - an incorrect format is the most frequent cause of login failure. If the problem persists after a few hours, contact SRMIST admissions support through the official srmist.edu.in contact page.

Minimum Score for Counselling

No. SRMJEEE does not set a minimum cutoff score. Every candidate who appeared gets an All India Rank (AIR) and can register for counselling.

Your rank determines your seat options - a higher rank means more campus and branch choices during choice filling.

Good Score in SRMJEEE 2026

A score above 110 out of 130 typically puts you in the top 2,000 ranks - giving you a strong shot at CSE or CSE-AI/ML at SRM Kattankulathur, the most competitive campus and branch combination.

A score above 90 is generally enough for a solid branch at one of the other SRM campuses. Below 50, your seat options narrow considerably.

Phase-wise Result Declaration

PhaseExam DatesResult Date
Phase 1April 24-29, 2026May 5, 2026
Phase 2June 10-15, 2026June 22, 2026
Phase 3July 4-5, 2026July 9, 2026

Each phase has its own independent rank list and counselling round - they are not merged. Phase 3 counselling began the very next day, July 10, 2026.

Rank List for Different Phases

No. Each phase produces its own independent rank list from among the candidates who appeared in that phase.

Your Phase 3 AIR compares you only to other Phase 3 candidates - it is not combined with Phase 1 or Phase 2 ranks. Counselling for each phase draws exclusively from its own rank list.

Admission with Rank Above 30,000 in Phase 3

It is possible, though your options will be limited. With a rank above 30,000, CSE and ECE at Kattankulathur are unlikely.

You may still find open seats in Civil, Mechanical, or EEE at Kattankulathur, or in better branches at campuses like Amaravati, Modinagar, or NCR Delhi where filling is slower. Fill as many preferences as you can during choice filling to maximise your chances.

Counselling Fee for Phase 3

The total fee to confirm a seat after Phase 3 allotment is Rs. 1,10,000 - comprising Rs. 10,000 as a registration fee and Rs. 1,00,000 as a counselling/seat confirmation fee.

Both must be paid online by July 20, 2026. Missing this deadline releases your allotted seat to the next candidate on the list.

Score Normalisation Process

SRMJEEE 2026 was held in multiple shifts. Each shift can vary slightly in difficulty.

SRMIST applies a normalisation formula that adjusts raw scores to remove this variation, so candidates from harder shifts are not at a disadvantage. Your AIR is based entirely on the normalised score - which is why your raw marks and rank may not have the relationship you expect.

Campuses Accepting SRMJEEE 2026 Scores

SRMJEEE 2026 ranks are accepted at all six SRM campuses:

  • Kattankulathur (Chennai)
  • Ramapuram (Chennai)
  • Vadapalani (Chennai)
  • NCR Delhi
  • Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh)
  • Modinagar (Uttar Pradesh)

You can fill preferences for any combination of campus and programme during counselling choice filling.

Re-evaluation of Result

No. Once the final result is declared, the answer key objection window is already closed and any valid corrections are already incorporated.

SRMJEEE is a computer-based test and there is no re-evaluation or re-checking of scores after the final result is published. If you spot a factual error on your rank card - wrong name, wrong date of birth - report it directly to SRMIST admissions support through srmist.edu.in before counselling begins.

What is SRMJEEE Admit Card 2026?

The SRMJEEE 2026 admit card is the official hall ticket issued by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) to every registered student who completes slot booking for the exam. It is your entry credential for the remote proctored session and identifies you to the online proctor before the exam begins.

Unlike most entrance exams that release a single admit card to all students simultaneously, SRMJEEE releases your admit card individually and immediately after you confirm your exam slot. Once slot booking is complete, the admit card unlocks on the candidate portal and is ready for download. You must keep it accessible on screen — the proctor will verify it via webcam at the start of your session.

You cannot begin the SRMJEEE exam session without showing your admit card to the proctor via webcam — the exam will not launch without this verification.

Note: The SRMJEEE admit card is not an admission confirmation letter. It only authorises you to appear in the exam. Your actual B.Tech admission depends on your SRMJEEE rank, counselling, and the seat allotment process conducted separately by SRMIST.

SRMJEEE Admit Card 2026 Release Date

SRMIST releases the SRMJEEE admit card phase-wise, tied directly to each phase’s slot booking window. The admit card is not released on a fixed date for all students — it becomes available to you immediately after you confirm your slot. For Phase 3, slot booking opened on July 1, 2026, making the Phase 3 admit card available now.

What to Do If There Is a Discrepancy in SRMJEEE Admit Card 2026

Download your admit card as soon as slot booking is confirmed and verify every detail against your application documents. If you spot an error in your name, photograph, date of birth, or exam slot, act immediately — there is no mechanism to fix discrepancies on exam day.

  1. Download the admit card from applications.srmist.edu.in/btech and compare every field with your original application form.
  2. If a correction is needed, log back in to the candidate portal and check whether a self-correction option is available for the specific field.
  3. If self-correction is not available, write to admissions.india@srmist.edu.in with your application number, a description of the error, and a scanned copy of the supporting document (for example, Aadhaar card for name or date-of-birth corrections).
  4. Follow up by calling the SRMIST helpdesk at 044-27455510 or 044-47437500 if you do not receive a response within 24 hours.

Ques: What if I have forgotten my email ID or password for the candidate portal?

Ans: Use the "Forgot Password" link on the candidate portal login page to reset your password using your registered email ID. You can also log in using your application number and date of birth as an alternative. If you still cannot access your account, call SRMIST at 044-27455510 or email admissions.india@srmist.edu.in.

Ques: Can I appear in the SRMJEEE exam without an admit card?

Ans: No. The proctor will ask you to show your admit card to the webcam at the start of every SRMJEEE exam session. The exam will not launch if you cannot produce it. Download the admit card PDF to your desktop before exam day so it is immediately accessible when needed.

Ques: What details are mentioned on the SRMJEEE 2026 admit card?

Ans: The SRMJEEE 2026 admit card includes your name, application number, exam date, time slot (10:00 AM–12:30 PM or 2:00 PM–4:30 PM), exam mode (RPOM), subject group (PCM or PCB), photograph, signature, registered address, and important exam-day instructions. Verify all these details immediately after downloading.

Ques: What should I do if my name or photo is incorrect on the SRMJEEE admit card?

Ans: Contact SRMIST at admissions.india@srmist.edu.in with your application number and a scanned copy of your ID proof showing the correct name or photo. Do this as soon as you spot the error — corrections cannot be processed on the day of the exam. You can also call 044-27455510 to follow up.

Your computer must meet the minimum system requirements: Intel i3 (4th Gen) or equivalent, 4 GB RAM, functional webcam and microphone, and Windows 8+ or Mac 10.14+.

Ques: What internet speed is required for the SRMJEEE 2026 remote proctored exam?

Ans: A stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 4 Mbps is recommended for SRMJEEE 2026. A wired connection is more reliable than Wi-Fi. Test your connection before exam day and switch to a wired connection if your Wi-Fi is unstable, to avoid disconnection during the exam.

Ques: What happens if my internet disconnects during the SRMJEEE exam?

Ans: If your internet disconnects, the exam system may allow you to reconnect and resume within a limited window. Contact the SRMIST technical support line immediately if the disconnection is prolonged. SRMIST’s decision in such cases is final. The best way to avoid this is to test your connection thoroughly before the exam and use a wired internet connection on exam day.

Ques: What are the two time slots available for SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 3?

Ans: Two time slots are available each day for SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 3: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM. You selected your preferred slot during the slot booking process. Slots were allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis, so the slot shown on your admit card is final and cannot be changed after confirmation.

Biology Sample Paper

SRMJEEE Biology Sample Paper 2026 covers the 40-question Biology section that Biotech, Biotech (Genetic / Regenerative), and Biomedical candidates attempt in place of Mathematics. Every Biology question carries +1 mark, with no negative marking, and all 40 questions stay inside NCERT Class XI and XII Biology. Collegedunia provides free SRMJEEE Biology sample papers with detailed solutions.

  • Biology is taken specifically by candidates targeting Biotech, Biotech (Genetic / Regenerative), and Biomedical courses at SRM. The section sits in the Maths/Biology slot of the paper, worth 40 marks out of 130, so a clean Biology score is what gets you a seat in the lab-heavy programmes.
  • Most SRMJEEE Biology questions test NCERT line-level recall — definitions, classifications, named examples, and one-line concepts. Sample papers train your eye to spot these inside 30 to 45 seconds each, which is what the 46-minute time slot demands.
  • Biology has the smallest impact from the no-calculator rule, since most questions are recall. But Remote Proctored Online Mode still tests your screen-reading stamina across 40 questions in a row. Sample papers solved on a laptop build the focus you need for the full section.

SRMJEEE Biology Sample Paper

How to Solve SRMJEEE Biology Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Biology mostly tests how carefully you have read NCERT, not how deeply you understand any single concept. The method below builds your recognition speed across all 40 questions inside the 46-minute window.

  • Set the Remote Proctored conditions: Sit at your laptop with a webcam, set a 46 minute timer for the Biology section, and keep your textbooks and notes away from the desk. The actual exam will look exactly like this.
  • Sort the 40 questions by type in 2 minutes: Direct fact-recall questions (definitions, named examples, one-line concepts) finish in under 30 seconds. Diagram-reading or experiment-based questions take 90 to 120 seconds. Mapping these first saves you 5 minutes later.
  • Open with classification chapters: Plant Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Five Kingdom Classification, and Biomolecule types usually settle in under 30 seconds each. Six or seven of these clear 7 marks in 4 minutes and free up time for Genetics and Reproduction.
  • Attempt every question, including the uncertain ones: With no negative marking, an educated guess between two remaining options is always upside-only. Leaving a Biology question blank wastes a free mark.
  • Pause on close-sounding term pairs: Reproduction and Genetics use many similar-looking words: Spermatogenesis vs Oogenesis, Apomixis vs Polyembryony, Mitosis vs Meiosis, Cyclic vs Non-cyclic Photophosphorylation. Read both options carefully before marking, since the wrong syllable can flip the answer.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Score Class XI chapters and Class XII chapters separately to see which half is leaking marks.
    • Tag each wrong answer: confused terms, missed an NCERT line, misread the question, or no idea about the chapter.
    • Build a notebook of close-pair terms, named examples, and one-line definitions you keep forgetting.
    • Reopen every wrong question the next day and find the exact NCERT line each answer came from.

SRMJEEE Biology Sample Paper 2026: Importance

Biology in SRMJEEE is 40 marks out of 130, the same weight as Mathematics. A clean Biology score of 35+ out of 40 moves you well above the cut-off for Biotech and Biomedical seats at the SRM campuses.

  • 40-mark structure: Each Biology question is worth +1 mark, so even a 32 out of 40 attempt at full accuracy gives you 80% of the section. The no-penalty marking removes the risk on uncertain answers.
  • Time generosity in Biology: Most candidates with steady NCERT reading finish the Biology section in 35 to 40 minutes, leaving spare time for review or for the longer Physics and Chemistry sections later in the paper.
  • NCERT line depth check: SRMJEEE Biology pulls questions from one-line facts, figure captions, and box-text. Sample papers expose the lines you skimmed and the figures you skipped during your reading.
  • Plant Physiology weight: Photosynthesis, Respiration in Plants, and Plant Growth Hormones give about 4 questions every year. Many students underprepare them because they feel dry, which leaves 4 easy marks unclaimed.
  • Ecology as easy marks: Biodiversity hotspots, Ramsar sites, biosphere reserves, and named examples in Ecology are direct recall worth 4 questions per year. Skipping this chapter group leaves 4 marks on the table for no reason.
  • Trap-pair recognition: Reproduction, Genetics, and Plant Physiology each contain close-sounding pairs that hide the right answer. Sample papers train your eye to spot the trap before you commit to an option.

Why Choose Collegedunia's SRMJEEE Biology Sample Paper 2026

Most SRMJEEE Biology sample papers online overlap heavily with general entrance test content, which goes deeper than SRMJEEE actually tests. Collegedunia's 2026 papers stay at NCERT line-level depth, which is exactly what the SRMJEEE Biology section asks for.

  • Built for SRMJEEE 2026: Every paper follows the 40-question Biology pattern and the +1 / 0 marking the actual exam uses.
  • NCERT line depth only: Questions are pulled from one-line facts, named examples, classifications, and small figures inside NCERT Class XI and XII Biology. Nothing past NCERT.
  • Solutions that point to NCERT lines: Each answer explains the concept and points to the chapter or NCERT section the question came from. Review becomes a focused NCERT revision.
  • Balanced chapter spread: No paper drowns you in Human Physiology and skips Plant Physiology. The mix follows the published SRMJEEE Biology pattern across Diversity, Cell, Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics, Biotech, and Ecology.
  • Quick review flow: Hyperlinked navigation between each question and its solution, so review feels like one continuous reading session.
  • Free download: Every SRMJEEE Biology sample paper PDF is free. No signup, no email, no payment.

SRMJEEE Biology Sample Paper 2026: Topic-wise Weightage

Human Physiology, Genetics, and Reproduction are the three biggest chapter groups in SRMJEEE Biology, together covering nearly half the section. The table below shows the typical chapter mix across NCERT Class XI and XII Biology.

Topic Avg Qs/year % Weight Priority
Human Physiology (Breathing, Circulation, Digestion, Excretion, Locomotion, Neural and Chemical Coordination) 7 18% High
Genetics and Evolution (Inheritance, Molecular Basis, Evolution) 6 15% High
Reproduction (Plant, Human, Reproductive Health) 5 13% High
Diversity of Living Organisms (Living World, Classification, Plant Kingdom, Animal Kingdom) 4 10% High
Cell Structure and Function (Cell, Biomolecules, Cell Cycle) 4 10% High
Plant Physiology (Photosynthesis, Respiration, Plant Growth) 4 10% Medium
Ecology and Environment (Organisms, Ecosystem, Biodiversity) 4 10% Medium
Structural Organisation in Plants and Animals 3 7% Medium
Biology and Human Welfare (Health and Diseases, Microbes) 2 4% Medium
Biotechnology and its Applications 1 3% Low

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. SRMIST does not officially release chapter-wise weightage. SRMJEEE Biology stays strictly within the NCERT Class XI and XII scope.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Biology mistakes usually come from skimming NCERT once and assuming you have read enough, and from leaving questions blank out of habit when there is no penalty for wrong answers. Watch out for these.

  • Reading NCERT only once and skipping practice. SRMJEEE Biology tests single-line facts from random NCERT pages, and you cannot spot the pattern without solving sample papers first.
  • Leaving Biology questions blank because you are unsure. SRMJEEE has no negative marking, so a blank is the same as a wrong answer. Even an educated guess between two remaining options is better than a blank.
  • Guessing too quickly on close-pair terms. Spermatogenesis vs Oogenesis, Apomixis vs Polyembryony, Mitosis vs Meiosis flip on one syllable. Take an extra 15 seconds to read both options before marking.
  • Skipping Plant Physiology because it feels dry. Photosynthesis, Respiration in Plants, and Plant Growth Hormones together give 4 questions every year, which is 10% of the section.
  • Underestimating Ecology and Environment. Biodiversity hotspots, Ramsar sites, and biosphere reserves are direct recall worth 4 questions every year — that is 4 easy marks if you read NCERT carefully.
  • Solving sample papers without reviewing afterward. Biology sample papers give back their full value during the review, when each wrong answer traces back to a specific NCERT line you can underline for next time.

FAQs

Ques. Are SRMJEEE Biology sample papers based on the latest syllabus?

Ans. Yes. These SRMJEEE Biology sample papers follow the SRMJEEE 2026 pattern released by SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The 40-question count, the +1 / 0 marking, and the NCERT XI-XII chapter scope all match the actual exam.

Ques. Which Biology chapters carry the highest weightage in SRMJEEE 2026?

Ans. Human Physiology leads at about 7 of the 40 Biology questions on a typical paper. Genetics and Evolution adds 6, and Reproduction adds 5. Together these three chapter groups cover roughly 45% of the Biology section. Focused revision here gives the most marks for the time you put in.

Ques. How many SRMJEEE Biology sample papers should I solve?

Ans. Aim for 6 to 10 full Biology sample papers along with daily NCERT line reading in the last 4 to 6 weeks. Biology rewards review depth more than volume, so five well-reviewed papers will lift your score more than fifteen rushed ones.

Ques. Is NCERT enough for SRMJEEE Biology 2026?

Ans. Yes. NCERT Class XI and XII Biology is the full SRMJEEE 2026 syllabus. The extra step you need is reading every NCERT line, every figure caption, and every box-text carefully, because SRMJEEE often tests single-line facts that a fast read can miss.

Ques. Who should take SRMJEEE Biology instead of Mathematics?

Ans. Candidates applying to Biotech, Biotech (Genetic / Regenerative), and Biomedical courses at SRM take the Biology section in place of Mathematics. Candidates applying to any other B.Tech programme take Mathematics. Your application decides which section your paper will include.

Ques. How do I revise close-sounding Biology terms for SRMJEEE?

Ans. Make a one-page sheet of close-pair terms (Spermatogenesis vs Oogenesis, Apomixis vs Polyembryony, Mitosis vs Meiosis, Cyclic vs Non-cyclic Photophosphorylation) with a one-line difference next to each pair. Read this sheet once a week during the final 6 weeks. Sample papers help you spot which pairs come up most often.

Chemistry Sample Paper

SRMJEEE Chemistry Sample Paper 2026 walks you through the 35-question Chemistry section of the SRMJEEE 2026 exam. Every Chemistry question carries +1 mark, with 0 marks for a wrong answer and no penalty for leaving one blank, all from NCERT Class XI and XII Chemistry. Collegedunia provides free SRMJEEE Chemistry sample papers with detailed solutions.

  • Chemistry shares its 35-mark weight with Physics, putting the two together at 70 marks out of 130. A clean Chemistry score is one of the fastest ways to push past the cut-off, and the no-penalty marking means you can attempt every question without losing anything.
  • SRMJEEE Chemistry spreads across Physical, Inorganic, and Organic branches with a slight tilt toward Physical Chemistry topics like Atomic Structure, Bonding, Equilibrium, and Electrochemistry. Sample papers help you see which third gives you the fastest marks.
  • Remote Proctored Online Mode means you read every Chemistry question on a screen with only a plain rough sheet beside you. Sample papers solved on a laptop build the focus you need for IUPAC naming, balanced equations, and Coordination Compound questions in this format.

SRMJEEE Sample PaperHow to Solve SRMJEEE Chemistry Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Chemistry mixes direct theory questions (Periodic Table trends, Coordination Compound names, IUPAC names) with Physical Chemistry numericals (mole concept, pH, Nernst equation). The method below uses your 40-minute Chemistry window across both kinds of questions.

  • Match the Remote Proctored environment: Set a 40 minute timer on your laptop, switch on the webcam if you want a full simulation, and keep notes, books, and the calculator out of reach. The actual exam will look like this exactly.
  • Sort the 35 questions in the first 2 minutes: Inorganic theory and definitions usually finish in under 45 seconds. Physical Chemistry numericals run 90 to 120 seconds. Organic mechanisms and IUPAC sit between the two. A quick sort saves you 4 to 5 minutes later.
  • Open with the direct-theory chapters: Periodic Table trends, s and p block exceptions, Coordination Compound naming, and Aldehyde/Ketone test reactions usually settle in under a minute each. Six of these clear 6 marks in 5 minutes.
  • Slow down on IUPAC and ligand naming: Coordination Compound names and Organic IUPAC names flip on a single wrong prefix. Read each option twice before marking, since the difference between "trans" and "cis" or between two ligand orders can flip the answer.
  • Mark every uncertain question: With no negative marking, a guess between two remaining options is upside-only. The only Chemistry question you should ever leave blank is one you genuinely have no time to read.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Score Physical, Inorganic, and Organic chemistry separately to see which branch leaked the most marks.
    • Tag every wrong answer: wrong reagent, misread structure, calculation slip, or named-reaction confusion.
    • Build a notebook of named reactions, d-block colour exceptions, and tricky IUPAC examples.
    • Redo every wrong question the next morning, untimed, and find the NCERT page where the answer came from.

SRMJEEE Chemistry Sample Paper 2026: Importance

Chemistry contributes 35 of 130 marks in SRMJEEE. The marks come quickly if you stay inside NCERT, since most questions are direct-fact or formula-application rather than long derivations. Sample papers tell you whether your reading is at the right depth and your pace is on track.

  • Reading the 35-mark structure: Each Chemistry question is worth +1 mark, so a 30 out of 35 attempt at full accuracy gives you over 85% of the section. The no-penalty marking removes the risk on borderline questions.
  • Splitting your 40 minutes by branch: A typical SRMJEEE Chemistry paper has about 14 Physical, 11 Inorganic, and 10 Organic questions. A rough plan of 18 minutes for Physical, 11 for Inorganic, and 11 for Organic keeps you balanced.
  • No skip-when-unsure habit needed: The +1/0 marking removes the cost of wrong guesses. Sample papers re-train any leftover skip reflex from other entrance preparations.
  • Spotting your strong third: Most students prefer one of the three branches. Sample papers show you which branch gives the most marks per minute, so you can lead with it on exam day.
  • Mole concept under the surface: Mole, stoichiometry, and percentage composition feed into Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, and Kinetics numericals. Sample papers reinforce this base across all three.
  • Tracking your safe attempt count: Most strong scorers attempt all 35 Chemistry questions. After 4 to 5 sample papers, you will know whether your accuracy holds up at that attempt level or if you need to spend more time on review.

Why Choose Collegedunia's SRMJEEE Chemistry Sample Paper 2026

Most SRMJEEE Chemistry sample papers online go deeper than the actual exam: they include advanced organic reactions or specialised inorganic chemistry that SRMJEEE never tests. Collegedunia's 2026 papers stay strictly inside NCERT Class XI and XII and follow the +1 / 0 marking the actual exam uses.

  • Built for SRMJEEE 2026: Every paper follows the current Chemistry pattern with 35 single-correct MCQs and the same no-negative-marking scheme.
  • NCERT-strict scope: Questions stay inside Class XI and XII NCERT only. No pericyclic reactions, no advanced crystal field theory, no exotic named reactions outside NCERT.
  • Step-by-step solutions: Each Chemistry solution walks through the concept, the reaction or formula used, and where most students slip. Useful for Coordination Compounds, Electrochemistry, and Aldehyde-Ketone test reactions.
  • Balanced Physical, Inorganic, and Organic mix: No paper drowns you in 25 Organic questions and skips Physical. The branch split follows the published SRMJEEE Chemistry pattern.
  • Easy navigation: Hyperlinked questions and solutions let you jump from any question to its explanation and back, which saves time during a 35-question review.
  • Free to download: Every SRMJEEE Chemistry sample paper PDF is free. No login, no email, no payment.

General Organic Chemistry and Hydrocarbons 4 12% High
Aldehydes, Ketones, Carboxylic Acids and Amines 3 9% Medium
Haloalkanes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers 3 9% Medium
Coordination Compounds 2 5% Medium
Biomolecules 2 6% Medium
Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry (Mole, Stoichiometry) 2 5% Medium

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. SRMIST does not officially release chapter-wise weightage. SRMJEEE Chemistry stays strictly within the NCERT Class XI and XII scope.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Chemistry mistakes usually come from leaving questions blank (when no negative marking means there is no reason to) and from using prep material with advanced reactions outside NCERT. Watch out for these.

  • Leaving Chemistry questions blank because you are unsure. SRMJEEE has no negative marking, so a blank is the same as a wrong answer. Always pick the most reasonable option among the four.
  • Studying reactions outside the NCERT syllabus. Pericyclic reactions, advanced crystal field splitting, and exotic named reactions are not in scope, and time spent on them is time taken away from NCERT line revision.
  • Skipping mole concept practice. Mole, stoichiometry, and percentage composition show up in 1 to 2 questions every year directly, and they feed into Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, and Kinetics calculations on many others.
  • Using a calculator during sample paper practice. SRMJEEE does not allow one in the Remote Proctored attempt, and dependence built during practice silently slows you on exam day.
  • Guessing too quickly on Coordination Compound and Organic IUPAC names. A single ligand-order slip or a wrong prefix flips the answer. Take 15 extra seconds to read all four options.
  • Solving sample papers without reviewing afterward. Chemistry sample papers give back most of their value during review, when each wrong answer traces back to the NCERT line that explains it.

FAQs

Ques. Are SRMJEEE Chemistry sample papers based on the latest syllabus?

Ans. Yes. These SRMJEEE Chemistry sample papers follow the SRMJEEE 2026 pattern released by SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The 35-question count, the +1 / 0 marking, and the NCERT XI-XII chapter scope all match the actual exam.

Ques. Which Chemistry chapters carry the highest weightage in SRMJEEE 2026?

Ans. Atomic Structure with Chemical Bonding, Equilibrium and Thermodynamics together account for about 8 of the 35 Chemistry questions. Add Solutions, Electrochemistry, Kinetics, and the s/p/d/f block chapters, and you cover roughly 54% of the section. Focused revision on these chapter groups gives the most marks per hour of prep.

Ques. How many SRMJEEE Chemistry sample papers should I solve?

Ans. Aim for 8 to 12 full Chemistry papers along with chapter-wise drills in the last 6 to 8 weeks. Quality of review matters more than count. Six well-reviewed papers will lift your score more than fifteen rushed ones.

Ques. Is NCERT enough for SRMJEEE Chemistry 2026?

Ans. Yes. NCERT Class XI and XII Chemistry covers the full SRMJEEE 2026 scope. SRMIST follows NCERT strictly, and the pattern does not list any topic outside it. Sample papers and previous year questions help you build speed under the no-calculator rule.

Ques. How important is mole concept for SRMJEEE Chemistry?

Ans. Very important. Mole concept, stoichiometry, and percentage composition show up directly in 1 to 2 questions every year. More importantly, they feed into Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, and Chemical Kinetics numericals on many other questions. A weekend of focused revision on this chapter pays back across the whole section.

Ques. Is a calculator allowed in SRMJEEE Chemistry 2026?

Ans. No. SRMJEEE 2026 does not provide an on-screen calculator and personal calculators are not allowed in the Remote Proctored attempt. Every Chemistry numerical on mole concept, pH, Nernst equation, and rate constants has to be solved with mental arithmetic and rough work on the sheets beside the laptop.

English & Aptitude Paper

SRMJEEE English & Aptitude Sample Paper 2026 walks you through the 20-question English & Aptitude section of the SRMJEEE 2026 exam. The section mixes English (vocabulary, grammar, comprehension) and Aptitude (logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, data interpretation). Each correct answer adds +1 mark with no penalty for wrong or skipped answers. Collegedunia provides free SRMJEEE English & Aptitude sample papers with detailed solutions.

  • English & Aptitude is the smallest section at 20 marks but the easiest to clear in under 18 minutes if you have the right pattern recognition. Sample papers train this recognition faster than any textbook reading.
  • Most candidates underestimate this section because the science subjects feel more important. That is a 20-mark mistake. A clean run here can be the difference between rank 1500 and rank 500.
  • No prior coaching is needed for English & Aptitude. The questions come from standard logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude patterns, with NCERT-grade English. Sample papers built on the SRMJEEE format show you the exact question types in use.

SRMJEEE English Sample PaperHow to Solve SRMJEEE English & Aptitude Sample Papers

SRMJEEE English & Aptitude is the section to clear early. Finish it in the first 18 to 20 minutes of your 150-minute window, then move into Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology with a calm head and 20 marks already in your column.

  • Set the Remote Proctored conditions: Sit at your laptop with the webcam on, set a 20 minute timer for this section, and keep books and notes out of reach. The actual exam will look exactly like this.
  • Triage the 20 questions in 90 seconds: English questions (Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Completion) usually finish in under 30 seconds each. Aptitude questions (Series, Coding-Decoding, Quantitative) take 45 to 60 seconds. A quick first scan tells you the easy 12 from the slower 8.
  • Open with Vocabulary and Grammar: Synonym, Antonym, One-Word Substitution, and Error Spotting questions usually settle in under 25 seconds each. Five or six of these clear 5 to 6 marks in the first 2 minutes.
  • Attempt every question, including the uncertain ones: With no negative marking, even a guess between two ruled-out options is upside-only. Skipping a question wastes a possible mark.
  • Slow down on Coding-Decoding and Series: These two question types are where most candidates lose marks to wrong patterns. Read the example carefully, work out the rule, then apply it to the question. A 60-second pause saves you a guessed mark.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Score English and Aptitude separately to see which half is leaking marks.
    • Tag each wrong answer: wrong synonym, missed grammar rule, broken series pattern, or wrong reasoning step.
    • Keep a notebook of common synonyms, one-word substitutions, and reasoning shortcuts.
    • Solve the wrong and skipped questions again the next morning, untimed, until the right method is automatic.

SRMJEEE English & Aptitude Sample Paper 2026: Importance

English & Aptitude carries 20 marks out of 130, which is roughly 15% of the SRMJEEE total. Many candidates leave this section for the last 10 minutes of the paper, which is the worst possible plan since these are the fastest marks available.

  • 20-mark structure: Each question is worth +1 mark, and the section has the lowest difficulty curve in the paper. A 17 out of 20 attempt at full accuracy gives you 17 marks for about 18 minutes of work.
  • Time efficiency: Most candidates finish English & Aptitude in 15 to 20 minutes if they start with it. That leaves 130 minutes for the three science sections combined, which is a comfortable rhythm.
  • Vocabulary as easy marks: Synonyms, Antonyms, and One-Word Substitutions test recall, not analysis. Reading a vocabulary list once a week for 4 weeks usually adds 3 to 4 marks to your score.
  • Logical Reasoning is the largest sub-section: Series, Analogy, Coding-Decoding, and Blood Relations together give about 4 to 5 questions in this section. Pattern recognition practice on sample papers builds the instinct these need.
  • Practice pays back fast: Unlike Physics or Maths, English & Aptitude scores tend to rise quickly with practice. Most candidates see a 4 to 6 mark improvement after 3 to 4 sample papers in the section.
  • Score predictability: English & Aptitude scores across 3 to 4 sample papers are usually within 2 marks of your actual SRMJEEE score in this section. Sample papers give you a fair preview of your exam-day score.

Why Choose Collegedunia's SRMJEEE English & Aptitude Sample Paper 2026

Logical Reasoning and Vocabulary together cover roughly a third of the 20-question English & Aptitude section. The table below shows the typical question mix between English and Aptitude topics.

Topic Avg Qs/year % Weight Priority
Logical Reasoning (Series, Analogy, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations) 4 20% High
Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, One Word Substitution) 3 15% High
Grammar and Error Detection 3 15% High
Quantitative Aptitude (Number Series, Percentages, Profit and Loss) 3 15% High
Reading Comprehension 2 10% Medium
Sentence Completion and Para Jumbles 2 10% Medium
Data Interpretation (Tables, Bar Graphs) 2 10% Medium
Verbal Reasoning (Syllogism, Statement-Conclusion) 1 5% Low

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. SRMIST does not officially release section-wise weightage. SRMJEEE English & Aptitude follows the standard pattern of vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and reasoning.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

SRMJEEE English & Aptitude mistakes usually come from leaving the section for the end of the paper and from skipping questions because they look unfamiliar. Watch out for these.

  • Leaving English & Aptitude for the last 10 minutes of the paper. These 20 questions are the fastest marks on the paper, and rushing them at the end means leaving 5 to 7 marks on the table for no reason.
  • Skipping Coding-Decoding or Series questions because the pattern is unfamiliar. SRMJEEE has no negative marking, so a guess between two remaining options is always better than a blank.
  • Ignoring Vocabulary because it looks dry. Synonyms, Antonyms, and One-Word Substitutions are the easiest 3 marks on the paper if you have read through a basic vocabulary list once.
  • Spending 3 to 4 minutes on a single Reading Comprehension passage. With 20 questions in 20 minutes, even one stuck question costs you 2 to 3 easier marks elsewhere.
  • Not solving any sample papers in this section. Many candidates assume English & Aptitude needs no practice. Three or four timed papers in the last week usually add 3 to 5 marks compared to no practice.
  • Solving sample papers without reviewing afterward. The grammar rule you missed in Paper 1 will show up again in Paper 2. Review traces back to the rule, and the next paper finds it solved.

Ans. Aim for 4 to 6 full sample papers in the last 3 to 4 weeks. This section needs less practice than the science subjects, since most question types repeat across years. Four well-reviewed papers will lift your score more than ten rushed ones.

Ques. Do I need a separate book for SRMJEEE English & Aptitude prep?

Ans. Not really. A basic vocabulary list, a standard English grammar reference, and one reasoning book are enough. Sample papers fill in the SRMJEEE-specific question patterns that no general book covers. The bulk of your prep time should go into sample paper practice, not textbook reading.

Ques. Should I attempt English & Aptitude first or last in the SRMJEEE paper?

Ans. First. English & Aptitude has the easiest questions per minute in the paper, so clearing it in the first 18 to 20 minutes gives you 20 marks early and leaves your full focus for the longer Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology sections. Leaving it for the end means rushing the easy marks under time pressure.

Ques. Is a calculator allowed in SRMJEEE English & Aptitude?

Ans. No. SRMJEEE 2026 does not provide an on-screen calculator and personal calculators are not allowed in the Remote Proctored attempt. The Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation questions in this section have to be solved with mental arithmetic and rough work on the sheets beside the laptop.

Maths Sample Paper

SRMJEEE Mathematics Sample Paper 2026 mirrors the 40-question Maths section of the SRMJEEE 2026 exam. Each correct answer earns +1 mark, with 0 marks for a wrong answer and no penalty for leaving one blank, all from NCERT Class XI and XII Mathematics. Collegedunia provides free SRMJEEE Mathematics sample papers with detailed solutions.

  • Mathematics is the largest section in SRMJEEE at 40 marks out of 130. For engineering candidates, this section alone decides a big chunk of the rank, and a clean Maths score can be the difference between a 5000-rank and a 500-rank.
  • The proportional time slot is about 46 minutes for the 40 Maths questions inside the 150-minute paper. There is no sectional time limit, so sample papers help you set your own pace between quick Algebra recalls and slower Calculus problems.
  • SRMJEEE does not allow a calculator. Every Integration substitution, every Determinant evaluation, every Probability ratio gets solved by hand. Sample papers train this from the first attempt so it does not slow you down later.

How to Solve SRMJEEE Mathematics Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Maths is the section where time discipline and accuracy together decide your score. The method below uses the 46-minute window to keep both on track.

  • Match the Remote Proctored setup: Sit at your laptop with a webcam, set a 46 minute timer for the Maths section, and keep notes, books, and any calculator out of reach. The exam will look exactly like this.
  • Sort the 40 questions in the first 3 minutes: Spend a quick first pass tagging quick wins (Matrices, Inverse Trig, basic Probability) and longer solvers (Integration by parts, 3D Geometry, Conic Sections). The order matters more than raw speed.
  • Open with formula-direct chapters: Matrices, Determinants for 2x2 cases, Inverse Trig identities, and simple Quadratic Equation roots usually finish in under a minute each. Six of these clear 6 marks in 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Skip Integration that does not click in 90 seconds: Integration by substitution, by parts, or partial fractions can quietly take 4 minutes if your first attempt is wrong. Flag it for review and move on so the easier marks do not slip away.
  • Attempt every question, even the uncertain ones: With no negative marking, an educated guess beats a blank. If you have ruled out two of the four options, mark the better of the remaining two and keep moving.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Score Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, and Probability separately to spot which chapter group leaked marks.
    • Tag every wrong answer: sign error, formula slip, misread question, or no idea about the chapter.
    • Keep a small notebook of integration formulas, vector identities, and probability rules you keep forgetting.
    • Solve the wrong and skipped questions again the next morning, untimed, until the right method is automatic.

SRMJEEE Mathematics Sample Paper 2026: Importance

Maths is 40 marks out of 130 in SRMJEEE, the single biggest section on the paper. A strong Maths score has no shortcut: every question has to be solved fully because partial credit does not exist on MCQs. Sample papers tell you whether your method is exam-ready.

  • Algebra and Calculus dominate: Algebra alone covers about 8 of the 40 questions, and Calculus (split between Differentiation and Integration) covers another 10. Together that is 45% of the section.
  • Time discipline matters most here: Maths has the widest spread of per-question time. A 4-minute Integration sits next to a 30-second Inverse Trig question. Sample papers teach you to recognise which is which in seconds.
  • The Determinant calculation habit: Without a calculator, even a 3x3 Determinant takes 30 to 45 seconds. Sample papers make this routine so it stops eating into your problem-solving time.
  • Vectors and 3D Geometry as steady marks: These chapters give about 4 questions every year, but many candidates underprepare them. Sample papers give you the volume needed to spot the standard patterns.
  • Probability across Class XI and Class XII: Class XI Probability is basic counting, while Class XII includes Bayes' theorem and conditional probability. Sample papers show you which type came up in the year you are practising.
  • Score predictability: Maths scores across 4 to 5 sample papers tend to be the most stable predictor of your actual SRMJEEE Maths score. If you average 32 across sample papers, expect roughly the same on test day.

Why Choose Collegedunia's SRMJEEE Mathematics Sample Paper 2026

Many SRMJEEE Maths sample papers online either rely on outdated patterns or load up advanced application twists that SRMJEEE does not test. Collegedunia's 2026 papers stay at NCERT depth and follow the +1 / 0 marking the actual exam uses.

  • Tuned to SRMJEEE 2026: Every paper follows the current Maths pattern, with 40 single-correct MCQs and the same no-negative-marking scheme as the actual exam.
  • NCERT-strict scope: Questions stay inside Class XI and XII NCERT. No proofs, no olympiad-style twists, no application-heavy hybrid problems.
  • Step-marked solutions: Each solution shows the algebraic steps, the integration substitutions, and the geometry constructions in full. You can find exactly where your method differs.
  • Spread across the syllabus: One paper does not load up 8 Integration questions and skip Algebra. The chapter mix follows the published SRMJEEE pattern.
  • Easy review flow: Hyperlinked navigation between each question and its solution, so you can flip back and forth during review without scrolling through 40 questions.
  • Free download: Every SRMJEEE Mathematics sample paper PDF is free. No signup, no email, no payment.

SRMJEEE Mathematics Sample Paper 2026: Understanding the Exam Pattern

SRMJEEE 2026 has 4 sections in a 130-question paper, and Mathematics is the largest at 40 questions. The full pattern is given below with Mathematics at the top.

Section No. of Questions Marks per Correct Negative Marking Total Marks
Mathematics 40 +1 0 40
Physics 35 +1 0 35
Chemistry 35 +1 0 35
English & Aptitude 20 +1 0 20
Total 130 130

SRMJEEE Marking Scheme: +1 for every correct answer, 0 for every wrong or unattempted answer. No negative marking, so every Maths attempt is upside-only.

Duration: 150 minutes total (about 46 minutes for Mathematics) | Mode: Remote Proctored Online (RPOM) | Language: English | Calculator: Not allowed

SRMJEEE Mathematics Sample Paper 2026: Topic-wise Weightage

Algebra, Calculus, and Coordinate Geometry together cover roughly half the 40-question Maths section. The table below shows the typical distribution across NCERT Class XI and XII chapters.

Topic Avg Qs/year % Weight Priority
Algebra (Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Sequences, P&C, Binomial Theorem) 8 20% High
Calculus: Limits, Differentiation and Applications of Derivatives 5 13% High
Integration and Application of Integrals 5 13% High
Vectors and Three-Dimensional Geometry 4 10% High
Trigonometric and Inverse Trigonometric Functions 4 10% High
Coordinate Geometry (Straight Lines, Conic Sections) 3 8% Medium
Matrices and Determinants 3 7% Medium
Probability (Class XI and Class XII) 3 7% Medium
Differential Equations 2 5% Medium
Sets, Relations, Functions and Linear Programming 3 7% Medium

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. SRMIST does not officially release chapter-wise weightage. SRMJEEE Maths stays strictly within the NCERT Class XI and XII scope.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Mathematics mistakes usually come from leaving questions blank (when no negative marking gives no reason to), and from over-investing in Calculus while ignoring smaller chapters like Differential Equations. Watch out for these.

  • Leaving Maths questions blank because you cannot solve them in 90 seconds. SRMJEEE has no negative marking, so a blank is the same as a wrong answer. Pick the best option you can rule the others out against.
  • Spending 4 to 5 minutes on a single Integration or 3D Geometry question. With 40 questions in 46 minutes, even one stuck question costs you 3 to 4 easier marks at the end of the section.
  • Skipping Differential Equations because it is a small chapter. NCERT only covers first-order separable and linear DEs, and one or two days of focused revision can give you a steady 2 marks every year.
  • Practising with a calculator. SRMJEEE does not allow one in the Remote Proctored attempt, and dependence built during practice silently slows you on exam day.
  • Ignoring Vectors and 3D Geometry because they look intimidating. NCERT keeps both chapters at a basic geometric level, and 4 questions every year reward steady revision.
  • Solving sample papers without reviewing them afterward. A sample paper without review is half the work, and the half you skipped is the half that lifts your score.

FAQs

Ques. Are SRMJEEE Mathematics sample papers based on the latest syllabus?

Ans. Yes. These SRMJEEE Mathematics sample papers follow the SRMJEEE 2026 pattern released by SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The 40-question count, the +1 / 0 marking, and the NCERT XI-XII chapter scope all match the actual exam.

Ques. Which Maths chapters carry the highest weightage in SRMJEEE 2026?

Ans. Algebra leads with about 8 of the 40 Maths questions. Calculus (Differentiation and Integration combined) covers another 10. Vectors and 3D Geometry contribute 4, and Trigonometric Functions add another 4. Together these areas cover roughly 65% of the Maths section.

Ques. How many SRMJEEE Mathematics sample papers should I solve?

Ans. Aim for 8 to 12 full Maths papers along with chapter-wise drills in the last 6 to 8 weeks. Reviewing each paper carefully matters more than the count. Six well-reviewed papers will move your score more than fifteen rushed ones.

Ques. Is NCERT enough for SRMJEEE Mathematics 2026?

Ans. Yes. NCERT Class XI and XII Mathematics covers the full SRMJEEE 2026 scope. SRMIST does not test anything outside the NCERT syllabus, so going past it wastes prep time. Sample papers and previous year questions build the speed and pattern recognition NCERT alone cannot give.

Ques. Should I focus on Algebra or Calculus for SRMJEEE Maths?

Ans. Both deserve focused prep. Algebra (Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Sequences, P&C, Binomial Theorem) scores faster because most questions are formula-direct. Calculus (Differentiation and Integration) is slower per question but covers 10 of the 40 marks. A 60-40 split of revision time in favour of Algebra is a workable starting point.

Ques. Is a calculator allowed in SRMJEEE Mathematics 2026?

Ans. No. SRMJEEE 2026 does not provide an on-screen calculator and personal calculators are not allowed in the Remote Proctored attempt. Every Determinant evaluation, every Probability ratio, every Integration step has to be done by hand on rough sheets beside the laptop.

Physics Sample Paper

SRMJEEE Physics Sample Paper 2026 prepares you for the 35-question Physics section of the SRMJEEE 2026 exam. Each Physics question is worth +1 mark, with 0 marks for a wrong answer and the same for an unattempted one, all from NCERT Class XI and XII Physics. Collegedunia provides free SRMJEEE Physics sample papers with detailed solutions.

  • Physics is the second-biggest section in SRMJEEE at 35 marks out of 130, behind only Mathematics or Biology. A clean Physics score lifts your total quickly, and the no-penalty marking means there is no risk in attempting every question.
  • The proportional time slot for the 35 Physics questions is about 40 minutes inside the 150-minute paper. Sample papers help you split that 40 minutes between formula-direct questions and the slower multi-step ones.
  • SRMJEEE runs in Remote Proctored Online Mode, which means you read every Physics question on a screen with a webcam tracking you. Sample papers solved on a laptop build the screen comfort and focus this format demands.

How to Solve SRMJEEE Physics Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Physics rewards two habits at once: attempting every question (because nothing is lost on a wrong answer) and finishing fast (because 35 questions in roughly 40 minutes leaves no room to dwell). The method below trains both.

  • Mirror the Remote Proctored setup: Sit at your laptop with a webcam on, set a 40 minute timer for the Physics section, and keep your phone, books, and calculator away. The exam centre will be your own desk, so practice should look the same.
  • Triage the 35 questions in the first 2 minutes: Mark short formula-direct Mechanics and Electrostatics questions as fast wins. Flag the longer Electromagnetic Induction, Wave Optics, and Modern Physics problems for the middle of the section.
  • Open with the chapters that need almost no setup: Units and Measurements, basic Kinematics, simple Capacitor combinations, and direct EM Waves recall questions usually settle in under a minute each. Five of these clear 5 marks in 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Attempt every Physics question, even the uncertain ones: With no negative marking, an educated guess beats a blank every time. If you have ruled out two of the four options, mark the better of the remaining two and move on.
  • Practise mental arithmetic for numericals: SRMJEEE does not allow a calculator, so simple multiplications, root approximations, and unit conversions need to be quick. Sample papers train this from the start.
  • Review the paper properly:
    • Score Class 11 chapters and Class 12 chapters separately to see which half is leaking marks.
    • Tag each wrong answer: wrong formula, sign error, misread question, or no idea about the topic.
    • Keep a notebook of Physics formulas and constant values that you keep forgetting.
    • Solve the wrong and skipped questions again the next morning, untimed, until the right method is automatic.

SRMJEEE Physics Sample Paper 2026: Importance

Physics is 27% of the SRMJEEE total marks, the second-biggest section after Mathematics or Biology. A clean 30 out of 35 in Physics moves your total well above the cut-off, and sample papers tell you how close you are to that number.

  • Reading the 35-mark structure: Physics carries 35 marks across 35 questions in SRMJEEE, with each question worth +1 mark. Even a 28 out of 35 attempt at full accuracy gives you 80% of the Physics section.
  • Time pressure inside Physics: 40 minutes for 35 questions works out to roughly 68 seconds per question. Electromagnetic Induction and Wave Optics questions can eat 2 to 3 minutes each, so timed practice trains you to spot those before you start solving.
  • No skip rule needed: SRMJEEE Physics has no negative marking, so the only reason to skip a question is if you have run out of time. Sample papers re-train the all-attempt reflex if you are coming from exams where skipping was the safer move.
  • Spotting strong chapters: Physics has 14 chapters in Class XI and 14 in Class XII. After 3 to 4 sample papers, you will know which 12 to 15 chapters give you the most marks for the time you spend.
  • Building the no-calculator habit: Every numerical solved by hand during practice makes you faster on exam day. Five or six sample papers are usually enough to remove the calculator dependency.
  • Tracking improvement section by section: SRMJEEE has no overall best-of rule, so every section adds to your final 130. Sample papers tell you whether your Physics score is moving up, flat, or falling across attempts.

Why Choose Collegedunia's SRMJEEE Physics Sample Paper 2026

Most SRMJEEE Physics sample papers online either pull from older syllabus versions or load up advanced twists the actual exam never tests. Collegedunia's 2026 papers stay at NCERT depth and follow the +1 / 0 marking the actual exam uses.

  • Tuned to SRMJEEE 2026: Every question follows the current Physics pattern, with 35 single-correct MCQs worth 35 marks and no negative marking.
  • NCERT-strict scope: Questions stay inside Class XI and XII NCERT only. No advanced application-heavy twists, no out-of-syllabus topics.
  • Detailed solutions: Each Physics solution shows the formula choice, the working, and the common mistakes. Useful for Rotational Motion, Electromagnetic Induction, and Wave Optics where students often slip.
  • Balanced chapter spread: Mechanics, Properties of Matter, Electricity, Magnetism, Optics, and Modern Physics are mixed in the same proportion past SRMJEEE papers have shown.
  • Easy navigation: Hyperlinked questions and solutions let you jump from any question to its explanation and back without losing your place during review.
  • Free to download: Every SRMJEEE Physics sample paper PDF is free. No login, no email, no payment.

SRMJEEE Physics Sample Paper 2026: Topic-wise Weightage

Mechanics, Electrostatics, and Current Electricity together cover almost half the 35-question Physics section. The table below shows how a typical paper is spread across NCERT Class XI and XII chapters.

Topic Avg Qs/year % Weight Priority
Mechanics (Motion, Laws of Motion, Work-Energy, Rotational Motion, Gravitation) 8 23% High
Electrostatics, Capacitance and Current Electricity 7 20% High
Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current 5 14% High
Heat, Thermodynamics and Kinetic Theory of Gases 4 11% High
Modern Physics (Dual Nature, Atoms, Nuclei, Semiconductor Diodes) 4 11% Medium
Oscillations and Waves 3 9% Medium
Optics (Ray and Wave) 3 9% Medium
Mechanical Properties of Solids and Fluids 1 3% Low

Based on the previous year's trend analysis. SRMIST does not officially release chapter-wise weightage. SRMJEEE Physics stays strictly within the NCERT Class XI and XII scope.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving Sample Papers

SRMJEEE Physics has a few traps that catch students who carry skip-when-unsure habits from other entrance exams. Most can be fixed in 2 or 3 sample papers if you spot them early.

  • Leaving Physics questions blank because you are unsure of the answer. SRMJEEE has no negative marking, so a blank is the same as a wrong answer. Always pick the best option you can.
  • Spending 3 to 4 minutes on a single Electromagnetic Induction or Wave Optics question. The 40-minute Physics window gives you about 68 seconds per question, so a stuck question silently costs you 4 other easier marks.
  • Practising with a calculator. SRMJEEE does not allow one, so any speed you build with a calculator does not carry into the exam.
  • Ignoring Units and Measurements or Dimensional Analysis. These two chapters look basic but show up in 1 question every year, usually within the first 5 of the section.
  • Skipping Modern Physics because it feels like the "last chapter". Dual Nature, Atoms, Nuclei, and Semiconductor Diodes together give 4 questions every year, which is worth 11% of the section.
  • Not solving on a laptop. SRMJEEE is Remote Proctored Online Mode, and the visual setup is part of the exam experience. Practising on print or mobile does not match the actual interface.

SRMJEEE 2026 Exam Strategy

Sample Paper

SRMJEEE Sample Paper 2026 follows the SRMJEEE 2026 pattern used for B.Tech admission across SRM Group institutes. You face 130 MCQs across Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, and English & Aptitude in a 150-minute window, with +1 mark for every correct answer and no negative marking. Collegedunia provides free subject-wise SRMJEEE sample papers with detailed solutions.

  • SRMJEEE has no negative marking. Every wrong answer carries 0 marks, just like an unattempted one, so you can attempt all 130 questions without losing anything. Sample papers train you to use this freedom without slipping into careless guessing.
  • The exam runs in Remote Proctored Online Mode (RPOM): you take it from home on a laptop or desktop with a webcam. Sample papers help you build the screen-reading and time-tracking habit you need when no invigilator is in the same room.
  • SRMJEEE is held in multiple phases through the year (Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3). If your first attempt does not give you the score you want, you can apply for the next phase. Sample papers between phases are the cheapest way to lift your score.

SRMJEEE sample PaperHow to Solve SRMJEEE Sample Papers

SRMJEEE is one of the few engineering entrance papers with no negative marking, so the right method is built around attempting every question while still staying accurate. Use the steps below for every full-length attempt.

  • Set up like a Remote Proctored attempt: Sit at a desktop or laptop with a webcam, set a 150 minute timer, and keep your phone and books out of reach. Use only a plain rough sheet. The actual exam will look and feel like this.
  • Plan a section order before you start: Most candidates do English & Aptitude first (20 quick questions in 15 to 18 minutes), then Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology. Pick an order and use it across all your sample papers so it becomes a habit.
  • Attempt every question, even the uncertain ones: With no negative marking, an educated guess is always better than a blank. Sample papers teach you the difference between an educated guess (two options ruled out) and a wild one (no idea).
  • Keep moving through tough questions: Mark long Maths or Physics questions for review and come back later. The 150-minute budget gives you about 1.15 minutes per question, so sitting on one for 5 minutes leaves you short on the rest.
  • Do mental arithmetic from the start: SRMJEEE does not allow any calculator, on-screen or personal. Practising every numerical by hand from your first sample paper keeps you fast on exam day.
  • Post-paper review:
    • Note your section-wise score and time spent on each section.
    • Tag every wrong answer by reason: concept gap, calculation slip, misread question, or rushed guess.
    • Keep a notebook of common slips and review it once a week.
    • Redo the wrong and skipped questions the next morning, untimed, until the right method is automatic.

SRMJEEE Sample Paper 2026: Why Solving Them Matters

SRMJEEE rewards two specific habits: attempting every question (because there is nothing to lose) and finishing fast (because 150 minutes for 130 questions leaves little spare time). Sample papers build both habits in the same sitting.

  • Locking in the all-attempt habit: Many candidates carry over the skip-when-unsure habit from other exams that have negative marking. SRMJEEE has none, so a habit of leaving questions blank costs you marks for no reason. Sample papers retrain this reflex.
  • Building the 150-minute rhythm: 130 questions in 150 minutes works out to roughly 69 seconds per question. Without timed practice on full papers, you cannot know whether your pace matches the demand.
  • Subject-wise self-assessment: Sample papers show you whether your Physics is dragging your total down, or whether English & Aptitude is the easy 18 marks you keep skipping. After 3 to 4 papers, the leak is obvious.
  • RPOM screen comfort: Reading a question on screen feels different from a print test paper. Eye fatigue across 130 MCQs is real. Sample papers attempted on a laptop build the screen stamina you need.
  • Improving between phases: If your first attempt is below target, the next phase gives you another chance. Sample papers between phases are the most efficient way to lift your score by 15 to 25 marks.
  • Knowing your safe attempt count: Most strong scorers attempt 110 to 120 out of 130. Sample papers tell you where your own ceiling sits and whether you can push it higher with accuracy practice.

Why Choose Collegedunia's SRMJEEE Sample Papers 2026

Collegedunia's SRMJEEE sample papers are built directly on the 130-question, 150-minute, +1-only marking the SRM Group uses for 2026. The pattern, difficulty, and screen layout match the actual exam, not an older version.

  • Tuned to SRMJEEE 2026: Every paper follows the current section split: 35 Physics, 35 Chemistry, 40 Mathematics or Biology, and 20 English & Aptitude. Marking is +1 per correct and 0 per wrong, just like the real test.
  • NCERT-based depth: Questions stay inside Class XI and XII NCERT for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology. English & Aptitude follows the standard SRMJEEE pattern of vocabulary, grammar, and reasoning.
  • Detailed solutions: Each solution shows the working step by step, with the formula or rule used. Useful for Maths integration and Physics numericals where small slips are the difference between a 1 and a 0.
  • Mix of Maths and Biology versions: Engineering candidates get the Maths version of the section, Biotech and Biomedical candidates get the Biology version. Both are available as separate sample papers.
  • Easy-to-use format: Hyperlinked questions and solutions let you jump from any question to its explanation and back without losing your place during review.
  • Free to download: Every SRMJEEE sample paper PDF is free. No login, no email, no payment.

SRMJEEE 2026: Exam Pattern at a Glance

SRM Institute of Science and Technology conducts SRMJEEE 2026 in multiple phases through the year. The paper has 4 sections worth a combined 130 marks, all under a single 150-minute window with no sectional time limit. The full pattern is given below.

Section No. of Questions Marks per Correct Negative Marking Total Marks
Physics 35 +1 0 35
Chemistry 35 +1 0 35
Mathematics / Biology 40 +1 0 40
English & Aptitude 20 +1 0 20
Total 130 130

SRMJEEE Marking Scheme: +1 for every correct answer, 0 for every wrong or unattempted answer. There is no negative marking, so attempting all 130 questions is always the right move.

Duration: 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) | Mode: Remote Proctored Online (RPOM) | Language: English | Calculator: Not allowed

One thing worth knowing: SRMJEEE runs in multiple phases each year. Phase 2 typically falls in June and Phase 3 in July, so you have more than one shot at the paper. If your first attempt does not give you the rank you want, sample papers between phases are the easiest way to lift your score.

Mistakes to Avoid While Solving SRMJEEE Sample Papers

SRMJEEE has a few specific traps that catch students who carry over habits from other entrance exams. Most can be fixed in 2 or 3 sample papers if you spot them early.

  • Skipping questions because you are not 100% sure. There is no negative marking, so a guess is upside-only. The only reason to leave a question blank is if you have completely run out of time.
  • Spending more than 2 minutes on any single question. With 130 questions in 150 minutes, even one stuck question can cost you 5 to 7 easier marks at the end of the paper.
  • Ignoring the English & Aptitude section because you think Physics, Chemistry, and Maths matter more. Those 20 questions are usually the fastest marks on the paper if you treat them seriously.
  • Practising with a calculator. SRMJEEE does not allow one, and the dependency you build in practice carries into the actual exam.
  • Skipping the post-paper review. Solving 12 papers without reviewing wrong answers will not lift your score as much as 6 papers with full review.
  • Not practising on a laptop with the same browser setup you will use on exam day. Screen, mouse, and browser performance change how you read questions, and Remote Proctored Online Mode rewards practice in the actual setup.

FAQs on SRMJEEE Sample Papers 2026

Ques. How many SRMJEEE sample papers should I solve before the exam?

Ans. A realistic target is 8 to 12 full-length SRMJEEE sample papers in the last 6 to 8 weeks, with subject-wise drills on your weakest section. Quality of review matters more than the count — eight well-reviewed papers will lift your score more than 20 rushed ones.

Ques. Is there negative marking in SRMJEEE 2026?

Ans. No. SRMJEEE 2026 has no negative marking. Every correct answer earns +1 mark, and a wrong answer earns 0 marks, the same as an unattempted question. Attempt all 130 questions; there is nothing to lose.

Ques. What is the difference between SRMJEEE Phase 2 and Phase 3?

Ans. SRMJEEE 2026 is held in three phases through the year. Phase 2 typically runs in June and Phase 3 in July. The exam pattern, syllabus, and marking are identical across phases. If your Phase 2 score is below your target, you can apply for Phase 3 and use the time in between to lift your score with sample papers.

Ques. Should I start with subject-wise papers or full-length tests?

Ans. Start subject-wise in the first 4 to 6 weeks to build accuracy in each section. Move to full-length papers after that to practise the cross-section timing SRMJEEE demands. Closer to your exam date, full papers are the only format that gets you ready for the 150-minute window.

Ques. Is NCERT enough for SRMJEEE 2026?

Ans. Yes. The SRMJEEE 2026 syllabus stays inside NCERT Class XI and XII for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology. The English & Aptitude section follows the standard SRMJEEE pattern of vocabulary, grammar, and reasoning. Sample papers and previous year questions build speed on top of that NCERT base.

Ques. How does the Remote Proctored Online Mode work for SRMJEEE?

Ans. Remote Proctored Online Mode (RPOM) means you take SRMJEEE from home on a desktop or laptop with a webcam. A proctor watches you remotely through the camera during the 150-minute exam. There is no need to travel to a centre. Practising sample papers on the same laptop you will use for the exam builds the screen and webcam comfort you need.
