West Bengal Centralised Admission Process Exam Pattern 2026
West Bengal Centralised Admission Process Exam Pattern
The WB CAP 2025 admission process is based on merit in the qualifying examination, not on a separate entrance test. Your Class 12 marks are used to prepare the merit list.
For most courses, the merit is calculated from the marks you obtained in one language and your three best elective subjects. The exact subjects and marks required depend on the course you are applying for.
- B.A (Hons.): Merit is based on one language and the three best elective subjects. You must have studied and passed the subject you want to take Honours in.
- B.Com (Hons.): Merit is based on one language and the three best subjects, which include Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics, and Business Studies/Commerce. You must have studied and passed Mathematics or Business Mathematics.
- B.Sc (Hons.): Merit is based on one language and the three best subjects, which include Mathematics, Physics, and Biology. You must have studied and passed Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
There is no separate exam for WB CAP 2025. Your admission depends entirely on your Class 12 marks and the choices you fill in during counselling.
