Under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, GNA University is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory authority of the Government of India responsible for coordinating, establishing, and maintaining the standards of higher education in India. Moreover, at the same time is authorized to award degrees in various disciplines under Section 22 of UGC Act, 1956.

GNA University is a part of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), a national organization of universities in the nation that supports university activities, particularly by way of information exchange and collaboration in the fields of education, culture, sports, and allied areas, and is authorized to grant equivalency of degrees conferred by foreign universities.

GNA University is having the membership of the global association of institutions and organizations of higher education. The International Association of universities brings together institutions and organisations from 120 countries for reflection and action on common concerns and collaborates with various international, regional and national bodies active in higher education.
