NCC at Rajdhani College
Rajdhani College has two established NCC companies with more than 300 cadets enrolled in both girls' and boys' wings. The two companies are 7 Delhi Girls Battalion senior wing (7DGBN - SW) for girls and 6 Delhi Battalion senior division (6DBN - SD) for boys.
NCC is a three-year course at the graduate level. Successful completion awards cadets with a certificate that provides specific incentives in different government job sectors.
The National Cadet Corps organises training camps for students in rural and urban areas. As per policy, 50% of the enrolled strength must take part in such Annual Camps. Rajdhani college have well equipped state of art laboratories in different departments. Beside departmental labs, college has one central computer lab (CCL) where students of all streams can work. College is also planning to initiate a Skill lab where students will be trained in different skils, which will help them to excell in one applcation beside their regular curriculum.
Department of Physics & Electronics has well equipped laboratories for different programs running in the department. There are a total of five laboratories of which two are dedicated to experiments in physics while two are focused on electronics experiments. One laboratory caters to the software requirements of the students. There are also three equally well equipped laboratories in the Chemistry Department of the college which cater to the academic needs of the students.
Newly established computer lab of computer department has latest computers and softwares , where students can work for their overall development. The College has always encouraged initiatives contributing to the various fields of learning and research. Besides laboratories meant for curriculum specified by the University, department also has three research/innovation laboratories, wherein students involve themselves in diverse fields of technology and innovation. One such initiative has been the establishment of a Robotics Lab in the College in collaboration with e-Yantra IIT, Bombay as part of the National Mission initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on Education through ICT (NMEICT). Nanomaterial and Devices Lab has also been established to fabricate nano sensors for the testing of polluting gases. A Radio and Atmospheric Physics Laboratory (RAPL) was initiated in 2005 with a grant from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the form of a first major project under RESPOND. Radio and Atmospheric Physics Lab under department of Physics and Electronics of our college has signed an MoU with the Tokyo University, Japan. Under this MoU we have established an outdoor research facility in Badoli Village, Haryana to measure the Methane (CH4), Carbon-di oxcide and few other greenhouse gases. Under this MOU our faculties and students can also visit Tokyo University, Japan.
