School of Management - [SOM], PDEU

School of Management (SOM) is a constituent college of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The college began as the Institute of Petroleum Management, Gandhinagar (IPMG) in 2006.

IPMG was set up under Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI). GERMI was established as a trust and society by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC), a Government of Gujarat undertaking.

In 2007, GERMI established Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU). IPMG became a constituent of PDPU in the same year.

The name of the college was then changed to School of Management (SPM). The college focuses on management education with an emphasis on the energy sector.

The college aims to act as a hub for quality management education. Its vision is to be a national figure in this field.

SOM works to provide diversified education in energy engineering. The institute also aims to create graduates who can meet social obligations by developing energy-efficient and environmentally viable solutions.
