ACCREDITED “A” GRADE BY NAAC IN FOUR CONSECUTIVE CYCLES (CGPA 3.23)

The Progression and Placement Cell functions with the twin fold focus i.e., providing guidance and assistance to students to achieve their career goals and by enabling industry to identify and absorb intellectuals with requisite technical & Managerial skills. It consists of representatives from each Stream and acts as a crucial link between training program of the students and their suitable employment. The Cell is inclined to train students for competitive exam and incorporates employability enhancement programme to provide awareness on soft skills, self-employment, industry insights and job opportunities.

The cell takes adequate steps in identifying the current demands of the industry and prepares students towards the desire industry needs. Students from all streams are given job opportunities through On Campus as well as through of Off-Campus Career Exploration Fairs. Our students are placed successfully at various orgnisations such as TCS, ICICI productial, HDFC Bank, Reputed Media Organisations, Data Matrics, Wipro and Infosys.

An Incubation Centre has been established in collaboration with Brainiac Cognitive Solutions in 2019. Students are motivated by Industry experts and established entrepreneurs to set up their own entrepreneurial projects and a provision of seed money is given.

Smt. P. N. Doshi Women’s College of Arts in collaboration with the Placement and Progression Cell organized a career guidance seminar for the students, ‘Career Next’ by Mrs. Kavita Redkar, Director, SILICA Institute on September 18, 2025. The project was organized under the aegis of Project Disha - an initiative aimed at creating awareness about unconventional career options amongst students by Ms. Amrita Mishra, Associate Director, Deloitte.

A Career Guidance Seminar on ‘Resume Building, Personal Interview and Soft Skills’ by TIME institute, Ghatkopar was organized for all TY B. Com and SY B. Com students on July 29, 2025.

Department of BCA organised a 50-hour MCA Entrance Coaching Course was organized for TY BCA students in collaboration with QUASTECH. The sessions commenced on October 10, 2025, with 33 students enrolled in the course. An Internship Orientation Program SY BCA students in collaboration with 3HD Media was also organised on September 29, 2025.
