State Institute Of Hotel management - [SIHM], Dharmashala

State Institute of Hotel Management, Dharamshala is an Autonomous Institute under Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The Institute is jointly sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

SIHM Dharamshala- Its foundation stone was laid by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal Honourable Chief Minister (HP) in the presence of Shri Kishan Kapoor Honourable Minister for Industries, Labour & Employment , Sainik Welfare on 5th Feb. 2009. Subsequently it was inaugurated by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal Honourable Chief Minister (HP) in the presence of Shri Kishan Kapoor Honourable Transport Minister on 19 th Aug 2012.

SIHM campus is located in the lap of Dhauladhar Himalayas. Its pictures queuing beauty and serenity remains a subject of great interest to students and travellers. SIHM from its core of heart is an unmatched impetus of continuous learning for the young aspirants who wish to pursue hospitality programmes.

The Institute is Wi-Fi enabled, fully equipped with appropriate laboratories, classrooms , library for dissemination of knowledge and for development of the right attitude required for the hospitality industry. Faculty members are well qualified and experienced who specialize in dissemination of knowledge in their respective fields of expertise.

SIHM’s unmatched panoramic view, strong infrastructure, Campus spread over in 1.6 hectares, , powered by well experienced and well qualified Faculty and Alumni makes it a unique centre of learning.
