The Xavier School of Management (Delhi campus) is the expansion of the premier institute based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Located in Jhajjar District at Aurangpur (25 km from Gurugram), the XLRI Delhi-NCR campus was kick-started in 2017. Currently, the institute only offers admissions in Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). However, they intend to expand their roster to include the infamous corporate and certificate programs soon. The admission is based on the entrance exam and the application is available online. If you had to made a decision between joining XLRI-NCR Campus or IIM Udaipur, Which would you chose and why?

If I had to make a choice between the two colleges, my decision would have been to go for XLRI-NCR campus. Some strong points that favor my opinion are Brand: The brand name of XLRI is very strong and not comparable to the new IIMs. Campus: IIM Udaipur campus is still incomplete whereas XLRI has a permanent campus with world class facilities. Pedagogy: The pedagogy is almost similar to that of the original branch of XLRI. This means most electives will be taught by renowned professors from XLRI itself. The pedagogy of IIM Udaipur is nowhere near that of XLRI. Placements: The best part of placements here is that the summer and final placements of both the institutes (XLRI Main campus and NCR campus) are held together. This opens doors for top consulting and FMCG companies that do not visit the IIM Udaipur campus. The XLRI Delhi-NCR campus is fully residential and spread over 36 acres in Aurangpur, Jhajjar, Haryana, about 25 km from Gurugram. All full-time PGDBM students must stay on campus, and the accommodation cost is included in the programme fee.

The residential area has four hostel blocks with more than 400 rooms. Each room is single-occupancy and comes with air conditioning, a study table, a wardrobe, and a balcony. Mess charges are billed separately at INR 6,000 per month.

The library is built across three floors and is connected to high-speed internet. Academic facilities include modern classrooms, the XCEED incubation centre for student venture projects, and Xavier Hall.

For sports, the campus has tennis courts, volleyball courts, and a basketball court. There is also a gym, a cafeteria, a medical centre, and an amphitheatre on campus.

The campus runs on solar panels and has a sewage treatment plant. It also has 24-hour power backup. Being close to the Gurugram-Delhi corporate corridor gives students direct access to company headquarters in NCR for internships, industry interactions, and guest lectures.

It is the heart of the institution and acts as a center for the collection of literature predominantly related to management, labour relations, and its allied subjects. And, intends to develop a comprehensive collection of information that is useful for teaching, research and learning purpose. To keep pace with the modern developments in the arena of library, the library has been automated with Liberty from Softlink Asia. XLRI Delhi library is well-equipped with a vast collection of study and reference material.

The library comprises of three floors. The ground floor is for light readings like Newspapers and Magazines, and for Front Desk Operations like Circulation, Reference Service and the Help Desk. This is also connected with a eResource Centre which has high end computers and high speed internet connectivity to access all the subscribed contents with the Reprographic Facility. Print Magazines/Journals are displayed and dedicated to all Research Collaborations. The First Floor is housed with all the library Books and has a Reading Room.

The Incubation Centre, located on the second and third floors, is designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and research-driven initiatives among students, faculty members, and external startups. This dedicated space provides a collaborative environment that supports the development of early-stage ideas into scalable and sustainable ventures.

The Library follows an Open Access System, allowing users to browse the shelves directly and select books and other resources freely. This system is one of the key features that enhances the user experience and promotes independent access to Knowledge. The Library collection is systematically organized into Subject-wise Sections, including Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Reference Collections, to facilitate easy location of materials. Newly acquired books are classified, catalogued, and displayed in the New Arrivals Section, located opposite the Circulation Counter, for a period of 10 days. During this time, users may browse these new titles and place reservations. After the display period, the books become available for regular Circulation. All books are arranged on the shelves based on their Call Numbers, which are assigned according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system. To locate a specific book, users must refer to the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), accessible near the Circulation Counter. The OPAC provides essential details such as the Call Number and Accession Number, which guide users to the exact location of the book on the shelves.
