Worcester Polytechnic Institute has four schools: the School of Arts & Sciences, the Business School, the School of Engineering, and the Global School. Moreover, these schools are bifurcated into 14 departments, which offer over 50 educational programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. WPI extends career-oriented education in Arts & Humanities, Science, Business, Engineering, Technology, and Social Sciences. It also offers a range of certificate courses and online programs to enable flexible learning.
Also, the university has developed partnerships with several institutions and organizations to facilitate comprehensive research across different subject areas. Furthermore, the academic staff of WPI includes more than 478 highly-qualified affiliates and the student-faculty ratio at the institute is 13:1.
