AIIMS MBBS Result 2024
AIIMS MBBS has been replaced by NEET 2024. The NEET result 2024 is expected to be declared in June 2024.
The result will include total marks, all India rank, sectional-wise marks obtained in each subject (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), percentile score and qualifying status.
NEET 2024 Qualifying Cut Off
The NEET result 2024 cut off percentile is fixed at 50 for UR, 45 for UR-PwD, and 40 for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD candidates.
According to the previous year's NEET result, the qualifying marks were:
- 720-137 for the GN/ EWS category
- 136-107 for SC/ ST/ OBC
- 136-121 for GN/ EWS-PwD
NTA uses tie-breaking criteria in case two or more candidates have the same marks while assigning ranks.
How to Check AIIMS MBBS Result
To get admission to AIIMS, candidates have to go through the NEET entrance exam. The result is checked on the official NTA NEET website.

- Visit the official NTA NEET website 2024 - neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on 'Download NEET UG 2024 Result' to open the login window.
- Enter your application ID, date of birth, and the security pin.
- Your NEET Scorecard will be displayed on the screen. Check and download it.

The result of AIIMS MBBS 2024 will contain the following information for candidates:

Score Required for AIIMS Delhi
For AIIMS Delhi, a score above 700 is needed. AIIMS Delhi NEET 2023 cut off closing ranks of round 1 were 57 for the general category, 255 for the OBC category, and 989 for the SC category.
Is 650 a Good Score for AIIMS?
650 is a very good score for AIIMS. NEET 2024 qualifying cut off percentile for the General category, SC/ ST/ OBC category, and GN-PwD category was 50, 40 and 45 percentile respectively.

AIIMS MBBS Cut off 2024
AIIMS has set minimum marks that must be scored by candidates in order to qualify for the exam. The qualifying marks for different categories are mentioned below.

AIIMS MBBS 2024 Result Calculation
The result of AIIMS MBBS is released in the form of percentile scores. Candidates' marks are converted into percentile scores, and then the final merit list and results are prepared.
AIIMS New Delhi prepares the AIIMS MBBS 2024 result based on the following details of a candidate:
- Candidate's Raw Score (marks) in AIIMS MBBS exam
- Percentage of AIIMS MBBS
- Subject-wise Percentiles (upto seven decimal places)
- Overall Percentile (upto seven decimal places)

The method of calculation uses the following factors:
- Percentile score obtained in biology, physics, chemistry.
- Overall Percentile score.
- Total marks scored out of 720.

AIIMS MBBS 2024 Merit List
A merit list is published online by the AIIMS MBBS, New Delhi authority. The percentile scores for the total marks for both shifts are merged and arranged to derive an overall Merit List / Ranking.
There are four merit lists that are prepared:
- Common Merit List: This list incorporates candidates from the general category and the other categories of SC/ST/OBC. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category, when selected in the same standard as applied to the general category candidates, will not be considered for the seats against reservations.
- Scheduled Caste Candidate List: This merit list includes candidates according to their percentile score in the entrance exam belonging to the scheduled caste category.
- Scheduled Tribe Candidate List: This merit list includes candidates according to their percentile score in the entrance exam belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category.
- Other Backward Classes Candidate List: This merit list includes candidates according to their percentile score in the entrance exam belonging to the OBC category.
AIIMS MBBS 2024 Tie-Breaker Resolution
In case of a tie (identical Total Percentile), the order of deciding higher rank/merit is Percentile in Biology, Percentile in Chemistry, Percentile in Physics, Percentile in General Knowledge, and the elder by age. The overall ranking is based on the percentile scores of the total raw scores.
The method applied for breaking ties is:
- Biology: Higher Percentile scores in Biology will result in higher ranking
- Chemistry: If Biology Percentiles do not break the tie, higher Percentile scores in Chemistry will result in higher ranking
- Physics: If Biology and Chemistry Percentiles do not break the tie, higher Percentile scores in Physics will result in higher ranking
- Age: If Biology, Chemistry, Physics Percentiles do not break the tie, the candidate elder by age will be ranked higher.
AIIMS MBBS 2024 Normalization Process
The Normalization Process is used to rank candidates who appeared for the exam in multiple shifts. It helps in nullifying the effects due to variance in difficulty level of question papers. The normalization procedure is adopted on the basis of percentiles.
Percentile Scores
- These are scores based on the relative performance of all candidates who appear in the examination.
- Marks secured are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each group of examinees.
- It indicates the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below that particular percentile in that exam.
- The topper (higher score) of each group will get the same percentile of 100.
- The marks secured in between highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles. The Percentile score is the Normalized Score for the examination.
AIIMS MBBS 2024 Counselling Process
The counselling process for AIIMS MBBS 2024 is conducted after the results are declared. Candidates are called for counselling based on their rank in the merit list.
AIIMS Counselling 2024: Overview
AIIMS counselling for 2024 will begin from December 2024. Candidates called for counselling will be four times the number of seats available for each category.
Seats are allotted based on merit, filled choices, and availability of seats. Reserved category students are called for counselling to fill seats in each institute in order of merit.
Seat Allocation Process
Candidates must be present in person for allocation of seats. When called for counselling, candidates select their choice of institute as per their rank in the respective category.
Choice once made will be final. Seats are allotted to aspirants based on their ranks and order of preference.
