CGPET 2024 Application Form

The CGPET 2024 application form was released on March 4 on the official website vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. The last date to submit the application form is April 7.

The application form correction window will remain open from April 8 to 10.

Application Fee

The application fee for CGPET 2024 depends on the category of the applicant.

• General category: INR 200
• OBC category: INR 150
• SC/ST category: INR 100

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible to apply only if you have scored 45% in Class 12. The eligibility criteria for CGPET 2024 are listed below.

Academic Qualification

• Applicant must pass Class 12th / Senior Secondary Examination from a Recognised Board or University of India
• Compulsory subjects in the qualifying exam must be Physics, Chemistry, and Maths
• Minimum secured marks must be 45% for the General category
• Minimum secured marks for ST/SC/OBC/PH category must be 40%

How to Edit the CGPET 2024 Application Form

Candidates can make corrections to their submitted CGPET 2024 application form during the correction window. The process is done online through the official website.

• Visit the official website and log in to your account in the candidates' section.
• Click on the edit application button.
• Review the already submitted application form and make corrections wherever required.
• After making all corrections, press the Final Submit button to submit the form.

How to get Registration ID?

When you submit the application and go to the payment gateway, it asks you to verify information. After confirmation, a payment form opens which shows the Registration ID and the fee to be paid.

Do I need to upload all academic records with the application form?

No, you need not upload any academic record. Whatever is required to be uploaded will be mentioned on the application form for CGPET 2024.

I am not able to see the application form properly, what to do?

I am a non-resident of Chhattisgarh, am I eligible for CGPET 2024?

Yes, if you are an Indian resident you can apply for CGPET 2024. Being a non-resident of Chhattisgarh, you will not get the benefit of reserved quota in admission, which is especially for Chhattisgarh residents.

I have not paid the fee but submitted the application form, can I edit it?

It is not possible to make a change. You will have to submit a new form.

I made an error and submitted the form with fee payment. Will the fee be adjusted if I submit a new form?

No, such a facility is not provided either by the associated bank or by CGPEBR, the governing body of the CGPET 2024 examination.

Marking Scheme

There is no negative marking in CGPET 2024. One mark is awarded for each correct answer.

• For each correct answer, one mark is awarded.

Important Instructions for Exam Day

Students are advised not to leave any of the above-mentioned topics while preparing for the exam. The following instructions are to be followed by candidates on the exam day.

Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must bring the admit card and a photo identity card to the exam centre. Applicants should carry a Blue or Black ball point pen to fill the OMR sheet.

Students must reach the examination centre within the allotted time. Once the paper starts, no student is allowed to enter the examination hall.

Photograph and Identification Rules

If the photograph on the admit card is not clear, students should carry 2 passport size coloured photographs. The admit card must be kept safe as it will be required for identification during counselling and admission.

Prohibited Items

Using any other item is prohibited in the examination centre. This includes calculators, log tables, scientific calculators, paper, and mobile phones.

Marking Scheme and Answer Key

There is no negative marking. After the exam is conducted, the board will release an answer key.

The 2026 result on June 17 came 34 days after the May 14 exam — similar to 2025’s 29-day turnaround. Topper scores have climbed from around 118 in 2021 to 127 in 2025, showing that top-end competition has tightened.

CGPET 2026 Merit List

CG Vyapam releases separate merit lists for each category — General, OBC (NCL), EWS, SC, ST, and PwD. Your rank in your category's merit list is what DTE Chhattisgarh uses for seat allotment.

So if you are an OBC candidate, only your position on the OBC merit list decides which college and branch you can get in a given counselling round — your overall rank is secondary.

• Ranks are assigned purely on CGPET 2026 marks. Class 12 marks are not factored in.
• Only candidates who scored the minimum qualifying marks and hold valid Chhattisgarh domicile are included.
