IIMC does not publish a score-based cutoff. The cutoff is the CUET PG rank of the last candidate allotted a seat in each round, programme, and category. A lower rank number means higher competition.
The final IIMC 2026 opening and closing ranks, after Round 3, will be published on the counselling portal after June 26, 2026. For planning, the table below shows IIMC Delhi’s 2025 closing ranks as a reference.
- PG Diploma in English Journalism (New Delhi): General closing rank 117–152; OBC-NCL 276–500; SC ~1,085.
- PG Diploma in Radio & TV Journalism (New Delhi): General closing rank ~164.
- PG Diploma in Advertising & PR (New Delhi): General closing rank ~111; OBC-NCL ~318.
- MA in New Media Communications (New Delhi): General closing rank 53–100; OBC-NCL ~318.
- PG Diploma in English Journalism (Dhenkanal): General closing rank 523–532.
- PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism (Amravati): General closing rank 885–1,284.
- Overall closing rank across all programmes and campuses: 5,201.
PG Diploma in English Journalism at New Delhi is extremely competitive. MA programmes at New Delhi, especially New Media Communications and Advertising & PR, have the lowest closing ranks and are the most competitive overall.
