WBUT PGET 2024 Application Form Release
The WBUT PGET 2024 application form is expected to be released on May 30, 2024. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT) will release the form on its official website, makautwb.ac.in.
The tentative last date to apply for the WBUT PGET 2024 exam is June 19, 2024. The registration fee is INR 400 for General category candidates and INR 200 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be citizens of India to apply for WBUT PGET 2024. The required educational qualification is a relevant Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Architecture.
- Candidates with an M.Sc degree in appropriate branches may also apply.
- The final mark sheet must be submitted by August 30, 2024 (tentative).
- Degrees obtained through distance education programs will not be accepted.
M.Tech in Bioinformatics Eligibility
B.E./B.Tech. graduates in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering, M.Sc. graduates in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biosciences, and B.Pharma students can apply. These candidates must have at least 60% marks in any two of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Higher Secondary (10+2 level) examination.
- 50% marks are required in B.Sc (in Honours).
- 55% marks are required in M.Sc (at Part-1).
- B. Tech candidates should have a 7.25 CGPA (65%).
M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Microelectronics & VLSI Technology, and Information Technology Eligibility
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in CSE, ECE, ECTE, IT, EI, EE, or an M.Sc in CS/IT/Electronics/Physics or equivalent. A minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.75 on a 7-point grading system (on a basis of 10.0) is required in the qualifying examination.
Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online only. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Offline payment methods such as cheques, money orders, postal orders, banker's cheques, postal stamps, and demand drafts will not be accepted. No refund of the application fee will be provided for incorrect form submission.
How to Apply
The online application form will be accessible from May 30, 2024. Candidates must fill in all details carefully, including name, gender, date of birth, category, PwD status, test center preferences, educational details, mobile number, and address.
There will be no application form correction window for WBUT PGET 2024. Candidates should verify all details before final submission.

Guidelines for Scanning the Photograph
- The photograph must be a recent passport size colored photograph, preferably with a white background.
- If wearing glasses, ensure there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible.
- Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover your face.
- The file size should be between 20 KB and 50 KB.
Ensure the scanned image size is not more than 50 KB. If the file size exceeds 50 KB, adjust the scanner settings, such as DPI resolution and number of colors, during scanning.
Guidelines for Signature
- The candidate must sign on white paper with a BLUE or BLACK ink pen.
- The signature must be signed only by the candidate, not by any other person.
- Signatures must be identical throughout the recruitment process at all stages and places.
- If any difference is found between signatures, the applicant is responsible for the cancellation of the application form.
- Confirm the uploaded signature is clearly visible and identifiable.
- The file size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB.

WBUT PGET 2024 Exam Pattern
WBUT PGET 2024 is a state-level postgraduate entrance test. It is conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT).

- Seats are allotted as per merit and options exercised. To confirm a seat, INR 5000 must be paid via DD, which will be adjusted with the admission fee.

The exam day instructions are printed on the back of WBUT PGET 2024 Admit Card. Some exam day instructions of WBUT PGET are as follows:
- Reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the exam commences.
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall if they reach the center after the test has started.
- Applicants need to carry their WBUT PGET 2024 admit card along with their identity proof to the exam center.
- Aspirants must not carry calculators, cell phones and other electronic gadgets to the examination hall.
- Candidates are allowed to write their answer only on the given answer sheet.
Candidates must follow all the exam day instructions so that they do not face any problems on the day of examination.
