WBUT PGET 2024 Application Form Release

The WBUT PGET 2024 application form is expected to be released on May 30, 2024. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT) will release the form on its official website, makautwb.ac.in.

The tentative last date to apply for the WBUT PGET 2024 exam is June 19, 2024. The registration fee is INR 400 for General category candidates and INR 200 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be citizens of India to apply for WBUT PGET 2024. The required educational qualification is a relevant Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Architecture.

• Candidates with an M.Sc degree in appropriate branches may also apply.
• The final mark sheet must be submitted by August 30, 2024 (tentative).
• Degrees obtained through distance education programs will not be accepted.

M.Tech in Bioinformatics Eligibility

B.E./B.Tech. graduates in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering, M.Sc. graduates in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biosciences, and B.Pharma students can apply. These candidates must have at least 60% marks in any two of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Higher Secondary (10+2 level) examination.

• 50% marks are required in B.Sc (in Honours).
• 55% marks are required in M.Sc (at Part-1).
• B. Tech candidates should have a 7.25 CGPA (65%).

M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Microelectronics & VLSI Technology, and Information Technology Eligibility

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in CSE, ECE, ECTE, IT, EI, EE, or an M.Sc in CS/IT/Electronics/Physics or equivalent. A minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.75 on a 7-point grading system (on a basis of 10.0) is required in the qualifying examination.

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online only. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Offline payment methods such as cheques, money orders, postal orders, banker's cheques, postal stamps, and demand drafts will not be accepted. No refund of the application fee will be provided for incorrect form submission.

How to Apply

The online application form will be accessible from May 30, 2024. Candidates must fill in all details carefully, including name, gender, date of birth, category, PwD status, test center preferences, educational details, mobile number, and address.

There will be no application form correction window for WBUT PGET 2024. Candidates should verify all details before final submission.

Candidates can select their choice of online CBT mode: institute of admission or at home with their own PC or laptop. The university has the right to determine the method of test, either online or offline.

After successful registration, candidates can download the WBUT PGET 2024 admit card from the official website.

How to Fill the WBUT PGET 2024 Application Form

The WBUT PGET 2024 application form will be available on the official website of the university, www.wbut.ac.in. Applicants must click on the button ‘WBUT PGET 2024 Apply online’ to begin the process.

Candidates need to fill in all details carefully. This includes the applicant's name, address, email ID, phone number, and educational qualification details.

Details to Fill in the Application Form

• Enter two preferred exam centres.
• Select the course for which they are applying.
• Enter qualification details for 10th, 12th, and the relevant degree.
• Provide the GATE 2024 registration number and secured score, if applicable.
• Submit demand draft details, including the DD number, date, and name of the bank.
• Write the application number and candidate's name on the reverse side of the demand draft.
• Attach scanned copies of photo and signature in the application form.
• Pay the application fee at the time of submission.

Step 2 – Uploading of Images

Applicants must upload their photograph and signature in the next step. They cannot move forward in the application process without uploading and submitting the required images.

Guidelines for Scanning the Photograph

• The photograph must be a recent passport size colored photograph, preferably with a white background.
• If wearing glasses, ensure there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible.
• Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover your face.
• The file size should be between 20 KB and 50 KB.

Ensure the scanned image size is not more than 50 KB. If the file size exceeds 50 KB, adjust the scanner settings, such as DPI resolution and number of colors, during scanning.

Guidelines for Signature

• The candidate must sign on white paper with a BLUE or BLACK ink pen.
• The signature must be signed only by the candidate, not by any other person.
• Signatures must be identical throughout the recruitment process at all stages and places.
• If any difference is found between signatures, the applicant is responsible for the cancellation of the application form.
• Confirm the uploaded signature is clearly visible and identifiable.
• The file size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB.

Step 3 – Application Fee Payment

The application fee varies by category. Payment can be made online or through a demand draft.

• Online payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or net banking.
• Demand draft should be drawn in favor of WBUT-PGET 2024, payable at Kolkata.

Step 4 – Print Out and Submission

After submitting the application form, applicants must take a printout of two copies of the filled form. One copy is kept by the applicant, and the other is submitted to complete the process.
