WBUT PGET 2024 Exam Pattern
WBUT PGET 2024 is a state-level postgraduate entrance test. It is conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT).
The exam grants admission to MTech and MPharm programmes at MAKAUT and its affiliated colleges. The questions test comprehension, thinking ability, and problem-solving skills.
The exam is computer-based (CBT) according to one section of the source, and pen and paper based (offline) according to another. The question paper is set in English only.
Different sets of question papers are provided for students from different engineering branches. Candidates must answer 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs), each with four options.

WBUT PGET 2024 Syllabus
The WBUT PGET 2024 syllabus is divided into three sections. These are the General Section, Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering Sciences, and the Relevant Engineering section.
The Relevant Engineering section carries the highest weightage of 50 marks. The syllabus for this section differs for every branch.
The General Section has a weightage of 20 marks. The Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering Sciences section has a weightage of 30 marks.
Marking Scheme
Each correct answer is awarded +1 mark. Unattempted questions receive zero marks.
There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates are advised to attempt every question for a better score.
Sectional Time Limit
There is no sectional time limit at the WBUT PGET 2024 exam. Candidates can attempt questions from any of the three sections as per their preference.
Candidates should attempt the easy questions first. They should not spend more than 1-2 minutes per question, as the total time duration is only 60/90 minutes.
Eligibility Criteria
To appear for WBUT PGET 2024, a candidate must have an AICTE accredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, or MCA.

WBUT PGET 2024 Marking Scheme
Each question in the WBUT PGET 2024 paper carries 1 mark. A correct answer gives the student one mark.
