AP ICET Exam Pattern

The AP ICET question paper is divided into three sections. Each section tests a different set of skills.

Section A: Analytical Ability

This section has two parts. It tests the candidate's ability to analyse data and solve problems.

• Part 1 – Data Sufficiency: This part checks if the data given in a statement is enough to answer a question.
• Part 2 – Problem Solving: This part covers topics like sequences and series, coding and decoding, date, time, and arrangement, direction sense and blood relations, data analysis (bar graphs, pie charts, line graphs, and data tables), and analogies and odd-one-out.

Section B: Mathematical Ability

This section tests mathematical knowledge. It is divided into three parts.

• Part 1 – Arithmetical Ability: Topics include laws of indices, ratio and proportion, surds, LCM and GCD, rational numbers, ordering on number line, percentages, profit and loss, discount, simple and compound interest, partnership, pipes and cisterns, time, speed, and distance, time and work, areas, volumes, and mensuration, and modular arithmetic.
• Part 2 – Algebraical & Geometrical Ability
• Part 3 – Statistical Ability

Section C: Communication Ability

This section tests English language skills. It covers four main areas.

• Vocabulary
• Business & Computer Terminology
• Functional Grammar
• Reading Comprehension
