DSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

DSAT 2024 exam is conducted in both offline and online mode. The eligibility criteria for different programs are detailed below:

BTech

Passed in PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects. A minimum of 45% (for SC/ST 40%) marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and any of the Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science / Electronics and English as a compulsory subject.

BCA/BBA

Passed in PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category).

BCom

Completed two-year Pre-University course of Karnataka State or its equivalent with Business Studies and Accountancy as two major subjects of study in both first and second year pre-university. Aggregate of 50% PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/10+2 or Equivalent Examination (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category).

MBA

Having Bachelor's Degree of minimum three years duration recognized by this University or who have passed any other examination recognized by this University as equivalent thereto. The candidates shall have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category) of all the years of the degree examinations.

DSAT 2024 Sectional Time Limit

There is no sectional time limit for completing DSAT 2024 examination. You can attempt any section of your choice, and you just have to complete the paper within 150 minutes time duration.

It is advised not to spend more than 1-2 minutes for a single question.

B.Tech Eligibility

Candidates must have passed PUC, CBSE, ISCE, 10+2, or an equivalent examination. Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects.

DSAT 2024 Exam Day Instructions

As per the official website, DSAT 2024 exam will be conducted on January 27th and January 28th (early exam dates). Exam day instructions are written on the back side of the admit card. Students must go through all the instructions carefully before attempting the exam. Following is the list of instructions that students need to follow on the examination day:

  • Reach the examination center 30 minutes before the exam.
  • Electronic objects are not allowed in the examination hall such as calculator, watches, mobile phones etc.
  • Print-out of Admit card is mandatory along with the other important documents for verification.
  • Xerox copy of Photo ID proof.
  • Students must carry passport size photograph as the one uploaded while filling the DSAT Application Form.
  • Candidates have to preserve the admit card till the admission in college.
  • Any kind of written material is also not allowed inside the examination center like Books, Notes etc.

Practice Papers

DSAT 2024 question paper will be available for download at the official website, after DSAT is a university level entrance test conducted by Dayanand Sagar University for admitting students into its undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

  • For UG courses, the test will consist of Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/Biology sections while for PG programs, the syllabus will be based on the respective undergraduate curriculum. Check Exam Pattern
  • The toughest section in the test is Physics which is dominated by Thermodynamics, Electromagnetic Induction and Magnetism topics for which previous years’ question papers must be referred.
  • Students can grasp the concepts in a better way by attempting as many questions as possible.

According to official information on the website, the early DSAT 2024 exam dates are January 27th and January 28th, 2024. DSAT 2024 exam pattern is both offline and online. The question paper of DSAT 2024 exam will be set in English language only. You will be allotted with a total 75 MCQ based questions in DSAT 2024 exam. Total time duration allotted to complete DSAT 2024 entrance examination is 2 hours (120 minutes). Each question carries one marks for attempting correctly.
