West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Application Process
WBJEE 2026 Exam Date and Notification
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the official notification for WBJEE 2026. The WBJEE 2026 exam will be conducted on May 24, 2026.
The exam will be held in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test. The official notification is available on the WBJEE official website.
Key Dates for WBJEE 2026
The registration process for WBJEE 2026 will begin on March 10, 2026. The application process will be open till April 4, 2026.

The correction window will open after the closing of registration dates. Over one lakh students are expected to take this exam this year.
Application Process
Application for the examination must be done online only. No printed application form is available.
Candidates are advised to fill in the online application as soon as possible to avoid last-minute hassle and issues. The direct link to register will be available from 10th March 2026.
Application Fee
The application fee for WBJEE will be between Rs 200 and Rs 500. The fee depends on the gender and category of the candidate.
Eligibility Criteria
The lower age limit for WBJEE 2026 is 17 years as on 31.12.2026. There is no upper age limit.
For admission to the degree-level Marine Engineering Course, the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.12.2026.
Photograph and Signature Specifications
The size of the photograph should be between 10 and 200 KB. The size of the signature should be between 4 and 30 KB.

Exam Centres
Exams are held all over West Bengal. Some centres are also located outside the state.
Several engineering colleges and universities in West Bengal participate in WBJEE.
WBJEE 2026 Registration Dates
The WBJEE board has announced the registration dates for 2026. The registration link will be activated on 10th Mar'26 on the official site.
The registration process will be held online only. Candidates must fill in a valid mobile number and email address to register.
How to Apply for WBJEE 2026
Registration is done online through the official website. Candidates must keep all required documents ready before starting the application.
- Keep an original and printed copy of all required documents ready for the application process.
- Enter personal and academic details carefully, including Name, Parents' name, domicile, and Date of Birth.
- Ensure the information matches the school or college documents such as admit card, mark sheets, and result certificate.
- Upload scanned copies of photo and signature in the prescribed format to avoid form rejection.
- Pay the application fee using debit card, credit card, UPI, QR code, or Net banking.
- Keep the confirmation page and admit card copy until the results are declared.
Correction Period
Candidates can rectify information in the application during the specified "Correction Period". This does not apply to name, father's name, mother's name, domicile, and date of birth.
The Board will restrict or stop any more changes after the correction period ends.
WBJEE 2026 Application Fee
The WBJEE registration fee is expected to be the same as the previous years. The fee depends on the candidate's gender and category.

Fee Concessions
PwD candidates can get a concession in application fees. They can also get compensatory time and scribe or reader facility.
EWS reservation is available in colleges through the WBJEE exam 2026.
WBJEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. Candidates who do not fulfill all eligibility criteria will be disqualified even if they score well.

PwD Category Eligibility
For the PwD category, a candidate must have 40% of a specified disability or above to be eligible.
Exam Language
The question paper is set in two languages: English and Bengali. All questions, instructions, and OMR sheets are provided in both languages.
WBJEE 2026: Admin Approval After Photo Re-upload
After a candidate re-uploads a corrected photograph or signature, the Board must approve the revised image. This approval process takes about 3 days.
WBJEE Registration 2026: Documents Required to Apply
Candidates applying for WBJEE 2026 must have the following documents for a smooth application process.

If a candidate does not re-upload a corrected photo or signature, the admit card cannot be issued. The application fee is not refundable under any circumstances, even if the candidate does not sit for the examination.
WBJEE 2026 Form Correction Window
The WBJEE Board provides a form correction window to rectify mistakes made while filling out the form. The window opens on the official website after the registration dates close.
- Candidates might have to pay extra fees for availing this facility and for any changes made during this window.
- The fields that cannot be changed in the form correction window are:
- Name of the candidate
- Mother's name
- Father's name
- Gender
- Date of Birth (DoB)
WBJEE 2026 Exam Centres (Zones)
The WBJEE board does not list individual exam centres. It allocates zones district or city wise, which will be mentioned on the admit card only. Candidates must select any three zones for their preference during the application process.
For candidates from outside West Bengal, including Assam and Tripura, only the following limited zones can be selected:
- Salkia/Bally/Uttarpara (Howrah)
- Salt Lake/New Town (Kolkata)
- South Kolkata (Ballygunge/Minto Park/Bhowanipore/Tollygunge/Jadavpur)

Documents Required at the WBJEE 2025 Exam Centre
Carry the following documents to enter the examination centre.
- A hard copy of the admit card of WBJEE-2025.
- A copy of the colour photograph as it was uploaded during the online application.
- Any photo identity card in original, such as Aadhaar card/ PAN card/ Passport/ Voter card/ 10th standard admit card/ School-ID card as uploaded during Application.
What to Do If the Application Number Was Not Received on Mobile
The candidate must have a valid mobile number and must have the mobile in hand during form filling. The network connection should be good so that the SMS is not missed.
