IIM Jammu

The placement process at IIM Jammu is coordinated by the Placement Office along with the Student Placement Committee. Once an organization approaches IIM Jammu for conducting their campus recruitment process, the institute seeks detailed Job Description from the organization. Further, the student placement committee takes the lead and schedules Pre-Placement Talk (In-campus/Online) of the prospective recruiter with the students. Pre-Placement Talks, usually of 30-60 minutes, provide an opportunity to the students and organizations to interact and exchange information. Post PPT, an email informing about the job/internship opening and its details is shared by the placement committee to the students who in turn register and submit ‘Expression of Interest’ for the job/internship opening. The placement committee then provides detailed profile of the interested students to the organization. The organization can undertake their shortlist process and inform the placement office with intended date for conducting the selection process.

IIM Jammu will be happy to host the selection process at IIM Jammu campus. The institute provides all the support in terms of infrastructure and facilities for smooth conduct of the recruitment process. The organizations may also conduct online/off-campus selection process with prior information to the placement office.

Post the selection process, it is expected that the organization will share the result with the placement office on the same day. A formal offer letter may be shared with the Placement Office within two weeks of the declaration of the results. The selected students accept the offers based on the Institute’s Placement policy. The selected students will be available to join the organization after completion of the end term examinations of Term 3 (in case of Summer Internship) and Term 6 (in case of Final placement).
