Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences and Research - [MIMSR]

The sojourn of 25 years is a very small span in the life of an institution. It was a challenge to develop MIMSR in an institution of quality, including the academic and clinical performance, the development of faculty and infrastructure.

The MIMSR Medical College has fully equipped functional departments and a 610 bed attached teaching hospital. The college and hospital have a total constructed area of 4,95,000 sq. ft., which houses 20 departments.

Each department has well-equipped classrooms, clinic rooms or seminar halls, well-equipped practical halls, and laboratories, departmental library, office rooms and a well-equipped Dissection Hall and Autopsy room, as specified by the Medical Council of India.

The college and hospital fulfill necessary requirements of land, hospital beds, equipments and infrastructural ancillary and supportive services required as per guidelines of MCI & MUHS, Nashik and in many areas exceed these requirements for example we have 106 acres of land against the norms of 25 acres,610 bed in Yeshwantrao Chavan Rural Hospital against the MCI norms of 500 beds. Similarly ICCU, NICU, beds and number of operation theaters are more than MCI norms.

We are one of the very few institutions who have identified villages and have digital library with internet facility for students, own hospital waste management programmes with Incinerator, a blood bank and affiliation with British Council Library for education and research.
