National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education And Research - [NIPER-A]

The NIPER-Ahmedabad Library comprises more than eighteen hundred books (including their e-copies), 1,137 theses/dissertations, 199 bound journal volumes, 19 print journals (national and international), and ONOS e-journals from 30 publishers, such as Elsevier, ACS, Nature, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Sage, and Bentham, covering all disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences and technology. It also has a rich collection of Hindi literature, motivational books, historical books, literary works, science fiction, novels, biographies, and autobiographies.

The library is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including open-source library management software (KOHA), an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), a well-managed reading hall, and a high-speed photocopier. Additionally, it hosts an Institutional Repository (using Greenstone Digital Library (GSDL) Software) to facilitate the access and preservation of research publications by NIPER-Ahmedabad.

To enhance efficiency, the library utilizes RFID technology for seamless book checkouts and returns. Furthermore, it has subscribed to Turnitin (for plagiarism detection), Reaxys, and the Dictionary of Natural Products (DNP) as e-resources to support cutting-edge research and innovation. Library resources and facilities being updated from time to time as per the requirements of NIPER-A users.
