Goa Common Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria
GCET 2025 Status
GCET 2025 has been cancelled. Admissions for undergraduate courses in Goa will now be based on JEE Mains 2025 scores. Candidates must have appeared for JEE Mains to be eligible for admission.
For Medical and Pharmacy courses, admissions will be based on NEET 2025 results. Further information is available on the official JEE Main 2025 website.
GCET was previously used to grant admission to qualifying candidates for professional degree courses in Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the GCET 2025 eligibility criteria before applying. The criteria are divided into common requirements and course-wise requirements.
GCET Common Eligibility
- Nationality: Indian, NRI, OCI, and PIO candidates can apply.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be above 17 years as of December 31, 2025.
- Score Card: Candidates should have a valid GCET, NEET, or NATA exam scorecard.
B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th and 12th exams from any recognized board.
- Marks Criteria: Candidates must have secured at least 45% aggregate marks in PCB subjects. SC, ST, and OBC category candidates can apply with 40% aggregate marks.
- Subjects: Physics, chemistry, biology, and English must have been studied as compulsory subjects in class 12th.
B.Pharma Eligibility
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed HSC (10+2) exams from a recognized university or board of Goa.
- Subjects: Physics, chemistry, biology, and English must have been studied as main subjects.
- Marks: Candidates must have secured no less than 45% marks in the qualifying test. SC, ST, and OBC category candidates need 40% marks.
B.Tech Eligibility
- Qualification: Candidates who have passed the higher secondary exam from any recognized board are eligible.
- Candidates must have obtained a diploma in engineering with at least 45% marks. SC, ST, and OBC candidates with 40% marks can also apply.
- Marks Criteria: Candidates must have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCM subjects. SC, ST, and OBC category candidates need 40% aggregate marks.
- Subjects: Physics and mathematics must be main subjects, along with one of biology, chemistry, or biotechnology.
B.Arch Eligibility
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
- Marks: Candidates must achieve at least 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying exam. SC, ST, and OBC category candidates need 45% marks.
Kashmiri Migrants for Engineering Courses
- The applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XIIth) examination or its equivalent.
- English, Physics, and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, or Biology.
- Candidates must have secured not less than 45% marks in Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the other listed subjects.
