IPU CET 2026 Registration Started

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) started the IPU CET 2026 registration on 2 Feb 2026 on the official website ipu.ac.in. Candidates can now apply for the IPU CET 2026.

The exam is usually conducted between February and April 2026, and counselling begins in June 2026. The IPU CET exam dates have not been released yet. This year, the examination is expected to be held in pen and paper mode between April 26 and May 18.

IPU CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following educational qualifications for the MBA course through IPU CET 2026.

• Any recognized 3 years or more Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Step 5: Generate Login ID & Password

1. After clicking 'Submit', a message box appears asking applicants to note down their login ID and password, which will be used for future logins and to apply for multiple courses.
2. Once the applicant presses 'OK', their Login ID and Password are generated and shown along with other details.

Final Registration for IPU CET 2026

Log into the account using the Login ID and Password sent to the registered mobile number and email. The following steps complete the final registration.

Step 6: Fill the General Information

1. Enter personal details such as name, date of birth, region, and correspondence address.
2. Select the desired program.
3. Select the IPU CET Exam Center. This option is available only for candidates applying for B.Tech, MBBS Stage 1, MCA, and MBA programs.
4. Upload a photograph and signature. The image must be in JPEG/JPG or GIF format and less than 100KB in size.
5. Upload the Left Hand Thumb impression. The image must be in .JPEG/.JPG or .GIF format and less than 100KB in size.
6. After uploading images, click the "Close This Window" button once the message "Your images have been uploaded successfully" appears in all 3 tabs.
7. After uploading images, click on the 'Next' button.

Step 7: Fill the Qualification Details

The Qualification page appears based on the selected exam category.

• For Ph.D. Program: Enter examination details such as class 10, class 12, year of passing, name of institution, name of university, and subjects. This section also includes exams qualified, their scores, and work experience.
• For Post Graduate Medical Courses (PGMC/ M.D./ M.S./ D.M./ M.Ch) / Super Specialty Medical Courses (SSMC): Fill in academic qualifications for class 10, class 12, and graduation details with proof, along with work experience details.
• After completing the academic details, click on 'Next' to be directed to the final submit page.

Step 8: Course Application Form

Applicants can go to the Course Application Tab to apply for courses. They must click on the "Apply for Courses" button.

Step 9: Course Selection Form

• On the next page, some of the applicant's information will be auto-updated.
• Select the desired course.
• If the applicant selects B.Tech, MBBS Stage 1, MCA, or MBA in the Engineering/ Professional/ Medical Programmes exam category, they will be shown IPU CET Exam Centers to choose from.
• After selecting the course, check the 'I Agree' checkbox and click on the 'Submit' command button.
• On clicking 'Submit', a message box appears to preview the details. Candidates can click 'CANCEL' to change any detail.

Step 10: Application Fee Payment

The final step in the application process is the payment of the application fee.

Can one ID be used for M.Sc (EM) and PG Diploma in Women Empowerment?

Yes. There is no need to generate a separate ID. One ID can be used for both courses.

What is the application fee for an OBC female candidate?

The application fee for any course is INR 1200. IPU does not give any fee concession to any candidate. The application fee is the same for all categories.

Is there seat reservation for south-Indian students?

No. There is no regional reservation. Students will be treated on the basis of their rank.

How to delete a second application ID and get a refund?

You must mail the details to the authorities stating the entire scenario. Only then will your other ID be deleted. The fee refund cannot be done in this case.

Is there a course fee concession for IPU BBA students applying for MBA?

No. There is no such rule given by IPU CET. Also, no discounts are given on the application fee.

Can M.Tech (Tool Engineering) and M.Tech (Nano Sc. & Technology) exams be taken on the same day?

This can only be confirmed once the exam schedule is released. The two cannot be given together, as the papers are different. The questions asked from the graduation level course are different for each of them.

IPU CET 2024 Exam Instructions

Candidates appearing for the exam must follow the instructions given below:

• Candidates should bring two black ballpoint pens to the Examination hall for marking responses on OMR answer sheets. Use of pencil is not allowed.
• Candidates are not provided the facility of re-evaluation or reassessment for the concerned exam.
• Candidates should leave Examination Hall only after handing over the OMR answer sheet and test booklet to the Invigilator.
• The sheet has 4 circles in front of every question. Candidates need to mark the circle that they feel is the correct response for that particular answer.
• The Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet should be handled carefully by the candidates. They are advised not to fold the response sheet under any circumstances.

IPU CET Syllabus 2025 Overview

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) releases the IPU CET syllabus for the academic session. The syllabus for undergraduate programs generally follows Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT topics. For postgraduate programs, the syllabus includes graduate-level concepts.

There is no separate provision for locking choices. The system automatically locks the choices submitted and saved by the candidate at 5:00 PM on the last date of choice locking, as mentioned in the Counselling Schedule.

Printing Filled Choices

Candidates can take a printout of their filled choices during the choice filling period. The "Print your filled Choices" menu provides this option.

Documents for Distance Learning Candidates

Candidates who passed their qualifying examination through the distance or open education system must submit specific documents during counselling. These include documentary evidence of the study centre location and a certificate from the university imparting open or distance education certifying the study centre location.

Seat Distribution

Seat distribution is generally 85% for the Delhi Region and 15% for the Outside Delhi Region. For Self Financing Institutes, the sanctioned intake may include 10% Management Quota seats, which reduces the seats available for general allocation.

Delhi Region Eligibility

A candidate is considered under the Delhi Region if they qualified for their 12th certificate examination or equivalent from within the Delhi region. A candidate is considered under the Outside Delhi Region if they qualified for their 12th certificate examination or equivalent from outside the Delhi region.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for Undergraduate level programmes with 12th pass as the entry qualification is 21 years. For Post Graduate programmes with Graduation as the entry qualification, the upper age limit is 35 years. The Competent Authority may relax the upper age limit, and there is no upper age limit for the MBBS programme.

Choice Modification After Last Date

After the last date, the choices filled by the candidate are considered locked. No modifications are allowed after this point.

Counselling Registration Fee

Candidates must pay a sum of One thousand rupees at the time of counselling. This fee is non-refundable.
