IPU CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

IPU CET 2026 eligibility criteria vary from course to course. As per the criteria, a candidate should have 50% in the Class 12 board exam. The lower age limit for UG and PG programs is 17 years and 21 years respectively.

• The IPU CET 2026 application form will only be accepted if the candidate satisfies the eligibility conditions.
• GGSIPU follows a reservation system based on the program and domicile of the candidates.
• Candidates must read the subject or course-wise eligibility criteria carefully before applying.

IPU CET 2026 Age Limit

The minimum age limit for UG and PG programs is 17 years and 21 years respectively. The age limit for Post Graduate programs with graduation as the entry qualification is 35 years.

• The maximum age for a Bachelor of Vocation is 45 years.
• For the MPH (FE) program, the maximum age for service candidates is 45 years, while it is 35 years for direct candidates.
• Candidates must attain the age of 17 years by 31 December 2020. Candidates who are blind, deaf, or dumb are not eligible for the examination.
• The lower age limit for Bachelor of Vocation is 16 years as of December 31, 2026.

IPU CET 2026 B.Tech Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must pass Class 12th in the 10+2 CBSE pattern or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, passing in each subject separately. Along with PCM, candidates should also pass the English exam (core/elective/functional).

Admission Criteria

The university will not conduct a separate CET for this course. Instead, it will use JEE Main Paper I marks for granting admission to candidates. Candidates aspiring to do Engineering from GGSIPU must appear for JEE Main Paper-1.

Candidates with an aggregate of 60% in their qualifying examination are considered eligible for the examination. The three-year diploma course can be done in any of the following branches:

Admission to postgraduate technical courses at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University requires a valid GATE score card OR a qualified CET with a minimum of 60% or equivalent in the desired profile.

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% or equivalent in the qualifying examination in one of the following:

• Graduation in AMIE (Mechanical Engineering)

Eligibility Criteria for Biotechnology (CET code 148)

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% or equivalent in the qualifying examination in one of the following:

• B.Tech/ B.E. in (Chemical Technology / Food Technology / Biochemical Engineering / Biotechnology) or equivalent
• MS/ M.Sc. (Chemistry / Biochemistry / Food Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology) or equivalent

Eligibility Criteria for Nano Science and Technology (CET code 149)

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% or equivalent in the qualifying examination in one of the following:

• M.Sc.(Physics / Applied Physics / Electronics Mathematics / Biotechnology / Chemistry / Biosciences/ Life Sciences); B.E./B.Tech (Electronics / Electrical / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Physics/ Metallurgy/ Material Engineering/ Biotechnology / Biomedical / Chemical Engineering or Technology); or equivalent and Mathematics as one of the subjects at undergraduate level is a must

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% or equivalent in the qualifying examination in one of the following:

• BE/B.Tech. Electronics / Electrical / Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering Physics / Instrumentation & Control or equivalent
• Post-Graduation in Physics / Applied Physics / Electronics / Mathematics or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree. Must have studied Physics at the undergraduate level

IPU CET 2026 M.Tech Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for Chemical Engineering (CET code 155)

Candidates need a B.Tech. or B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field with specific marks and a valid GATE score.

• Minimum 60% or equivalent in the qualifying examination in B.Tech. /B.E. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid GATE scorecard in an equivalent stream.

Eligibility Criteria for Robotics and Automation (CET code 156)

Candidates need a B.Tech. or B.E. degree in one of the listed streams with specific marks and a valid GATE score.

IPU CET 2026 MBA Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following educational qualifications for the MBA course through IPU CET 2026.

• Any recognized 3 years or more Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, or any qualification recognized as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England, or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

For MBA (Financial Analysis), the candidate must have passed Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

Admission Criteria

Admissions are based on CAT 2026 score, followed by CMAT 2026, with scores normalized.

The university will conduct its own CET, but its scores will be used only if seats remain vacant after using CAT and CMAT 2026 scores.

IPU CET 2026 BA LLB/BBA LLB Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the minimum qualification required to apply for the program in IPU CET 2026.

• Passed class 12 with at least 50% aggregate.
• Should have passed English (core/elective/functional).

IPU CET 2026 LLM Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need an LL.B Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for enrollment as an Advocate, or an equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University.

The degree must have not less than 55% marks.

Admission Criteria

All candidates must appear for CLAT – PG to get admission to IPU.

No separate exam will be organized for students aspiring for this program.

IPU CET 2026 MBBS Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate should be an Indian, Overseas Indian, or Nepal citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.

The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first year of the course.

• Passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English (core or elective or functional).
• Passed individually in the subjects with a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology. This is 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates, subject to seat availability for these categories in the respective institutions.

Admission Criteria

Candidates have to appear for NEET 2026 to get admission to GGSIPU.

No separate exam will be conducted for admission into the MBBS program at the university.

IPU CET 2026 PGMC Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying should be an Indian National. NRIs and foreign nationals are ineligible.

• MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).
• Completed 1-year compulsory rotatory internship as of April 2026.
• Must be permanently registered with MCI or a state medical council.
• For general candidates, 50% in IPU CET PGMC 2026. For SC/ST/OBC, 40% in IPU CET PGMC 2026.

Admission Criteria

All candidates must appear for NEET PG and qualify the same to be considered for admission to IPU.

IPU CET 2026 SSMC (Super Specialty Medical Courses) Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying should be an Indian National. NRIs and foreign nationals are ineligible. Candidates holding Diploma of National Board of Examination are eligible provided they have done a thesis work.

• In-Service candidates should submit a No Objection Certificate from their current employer or they will not be given admission.
• Students already enrolled in SSMC in any other University/Institution are not eligible.
• If someone took admission in previous academic sessions but left/resigned from the course, they will not be eligible.

Admission Criteria

Candidates must appear for NEET – SS to be considered for admission. They must directly apply to the admission authority. The university does not play any role here.

IPU CET 2026 Science Courses Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc (EM)

• You should hold a B.Sc or its equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
• You should have done BTech (Engg) or BE in civil/chemical/Agricultural Engg. degree with a minimum of 50% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc (Forensic Science)

• You should have a B.Sc degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks.
• You must have studied 2 years, i.e., 4 semesters of a 3-year program with any of the subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology/Genetics/Biotechnology/Physical Anthropology).

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc (Bio and Conv)

• B.Sc or its equivalent (Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Anthropology, or any field of life sciences) with a minimum of 50% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for Master of Science (Natural Resource Management)

• Bachelor's Degree with Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Agriculture and Economics/Geography with B.Sc background.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Science (Yoga Science)

• Class 12th pass with 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, provided you must be passed in all the 3 subjects separately.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc Medical Technology (RT)

• You must have studied English in the qualifying examination.

IPU CET 2026 B.Arch Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility conditions shall be decided by the Council of Architecture at the time of admissions. A candidate is required to pass NATA 2023 conducted by COA to be eligible for admission in the architecture course of the university.

Admission Criteria

Admissions will be made on the basis of NATA Score and the percentage of Aggregate marks. The percentage will be calculated considering the best five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English among all papers offered to the student, obtained in the qualifying examination, i.e., senior secondary level or equivalent.

Merit list shall be prepared based on:

Candidates must clear NATA with at least 40% marks. They are advised to retain 3 copies of the NATA Score. One copy will be submitted during document verification in the university, another copy is submitted at the respective institute, and the last copy is kept with the candidate.

Candidates who are pursuing the relevant qualifying degree or equivalent program can apply for IPU CET 2026. This also applies to those who have appeared for or are awaiting the final year examination.

Such candidates will be admitted provisionally. They will be considered eligible for the award of the concerned program only after obtaining the required percentage of marks as per the eligibility criteria.
