PGIMER 2024 Application Form Highlights

The PGIMER 2024 application form is expected to be released in the 1st week of June 2024. Only candidates who have successfully submitted the application form can make changes to it. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form.

The online application fee must be paid using the online mode of payment only. The PGIMER 2024 entrance exam for M.Sc, M.Sc. MLT, and Fellowship/Post Doctoral Fellowship courses will be conducted in the 1st week of August 2024.

PGIMER 2024 Application Fee

The application fee for PGIMER 2024 is INR 1500 for the open category and INR 1200 for SC/ST candidates. PwD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

PGIMER 2024 Registration Dates

PGIMER 2024 application form dates for DM/MS courses are given below. The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh conducts a bi-annual entrance exam for its Training branch on various disciplines.

PGIMER Eligibility Criteria

PGIMER is the conducting body for the PGIMER 2024 entrance exam and it lays down the eligibility criteria for applicants. Candidates must follow these guidelines while applying, or their application will be deemed invalid.

• Candidates must have completed their MBBS from a university/institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• They must have completed or be due to complete their 12 months of rotating internship on or before December 31 for the January session and June 30 for the July session.
• Students must be registered with the Central or State Medical Council of India.

Eligibility Criteria for Sponsored or Deputed Candidates

• Candidates must be a permanent or regular employee of the deputing or sponsoring authority and should have been working for the past three years on or before December 31 for the January session and June 30 for the July session.
• After getting admission and training in PGIMER, Chandigarh, the candidate will be suitably employed by the deputing or sponsoring authority to work for at least five years in the specialty in which the candidate has received training at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
• No financial liabilities in the form of emoluments, stipends, etc. will be given out by PGIMER, Chandigarh during the entire period of the course. Such payments will be the sole responsibility of the sponsoring authority.

How to Fill PGIMER 2024 Application Form

The PGIMER 2024 application form is to be filled online on the official website of AIIMS – aiimsexams.org. Candidates can fill the exam form by following the steps listed below.

Step 1 - Creating an Account (Basic Registration)

Candidates will have to create a login id and password first with their valid email id.

Step 2 - Filling up the Form

Once the Login ID and Password are created, candidates will have to open the application form and fill in the details like:

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Address for correspondence
• Contact details
• MBBS Details
• Internship details

Step 3 - Selecting the Course

Candidates will now have to select the courses they are applying for. The term of the courses is 2-3 years. Given below is the list of courses from which candidates have to select a course:

Step 4 - Uploading Documents

Candidates will now have to upload the following documents as proof of validation for the information they have given in the application form.

• Scanned and Original Copy of their Internship Certificate
• Recent Passport Size color photograph (Scanned and Original)
• Scanned Copy of their Signature
• Rural Service Area certificate (if applicable)
• Category certificate (If applicable)
• Sponsorship certificate (If applicable)
• No Objection certificate (if applicable)

Step 5 – Payment of Application Fee

Eligible candidates can apply for DM, M. Ch, MHA, Fellowship Course, MPH, M. Sc Medical Laboratory Technology, M. Sc, Ph.D., PGDPHM, B. Sc, and various paramedical courses from the official website of PGIMER Chandigarh. The application fee must be remitted using the online mode of payment only.

PGIMER 2024 Application Fee

The PGIMER 2024 application fee depends on the candidate's category and the course applied for. Payment can be made online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Final Steps in the Application Process

Candidates who cannot finish the application in one session can save the draft and log out. The form is saved as is, and they can log in later to complete it and make the payment.

Paying the fee is the final step of the application process. Once the fee is paid, no changes to the application form are allowed.

Candidates must keep the printout of the eChallan or iCollect receipt for all future reference related to PGIMER 2020 admission until admission to the chosen course is complete.

Guidelines for Uploading Photograph and Signature

Candidates must upload a scanned passport-size photograph and signature as per the specifications set by the PGIMER conducting body. The scanner resolution should be set to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).

• The photograph should be recent, coloured, and clicked against a light-coloured or white background.
• The image should be a front-faced photo without any red eye.
• If wearing spectacles, there must be no reflection on the glasses and the eyes must be clearly visible.
• Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed, but it must not cover the face.
• The file format should be .jpg or .jpeg.

Signature Image

• The signature should be done on white paper with a black inked pen only.
• The file format should be .jpg or .jpeg.
