PGIMER MSc and MSc MLT Entrance 2026

PGIMER Chandigarh will conduct the MSc/MSc MLT entrance examination for the January 2026 session. The application form was released on 4th November 2025. The last date to fill the application form is 21 November, by 11:00 PM.

PGIMER INI CET 2026 Application Process

The INI CET 2026 application form was released on the official website on November 4, 2025. Eligible candidates can complete INI CET 2026 registration till November 21, 2025, till 11 PM. The application process is online and must be completed through the website portal.

To register, visit the website aiimsexams.ac.in and navigate to the INI CET 2026 July session registration section. After clicking on it, a separate window will appear. Click on the new registration option and fill in all the necessary details.

After completing the stage 1 application process, an Exam Unique Code (EUC) will be generated. This code is essential for future purposes.

INI CET 2026 Application Fee

The application fee for General, OBC, Foreign National, and OCI candidates is INR 4000. The fee for SC, ST, and EWS candidates is INR 3200. The fee must be paid via credit card, debit card, or net banking.

INI CET 2026 Exam Pattern

The INI CET 2026 exam will be conducted in online Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The question paper will have objective type questions of varying types, including Single Correct Choice and Multiple Correct Choice questions.

  • Total questions: 200 MCQs
  • Marks per correct answer: +1
  • Deduction for incorrect answer: -1/3
  • Marks for unattempted question: 0

INI CET 2026 Result and Cut-off

The INI CET 2026 result announcement date is May 25, 2026, which is within 6 days of the exam. The cut-off for General, EWS, and foreign candidates is the 50th percentile. The cut-off percentile for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) is the 45th percentile. If one or more students obtain similar marks, the INI CET 2026 tie-breaking policy will be implemented.

PGIMER (INI CET) 2026 Eligibility

PGIMER has been replaced with the INI CET 2026 exam. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

You must be an Indian national. An MBBS degree is required for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs courses. A BDS degree is required for MDS courses. The qualifying exam percentage benchmark for OBC/EWS categories is 55% aggregate. The benchmark for SC/ST categories is 50% aggregate.

PGIMER (INI CET) 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs courses and a BDS degree for MDS courses. The degree must be from a university accredited by the National Medical Commission or Medical Council of India.

Applicants must complete 12 months of compulsory rotating Internship or Practical training on or before 31st January 2026 for all INIs. Candidates finishing their internship after 31st January 2026 cannot register for this examination.

  • SC/ST categories need a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • OBC/EWS categories need a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD), the minimum aggregate marks for their respective category apply.
  • Sponsored candidates must meet the same minimum aggregate marks in MBBS/BDS professional examinations as other candidates.
  • Indian nationals who graduated from foreign universities will have their FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) marks considered instead of aggregate marks. The minimum qualifying marks remain the same in this case.

The registration for INI CET 2026 exam has begun. The procedure to fill the online application form is given below.

  • Click on 'INI CET 2026'.
  • Click on "Registration & Basic Candidate Information and Generation of Code".
  • Enter your name.
  • Provide a valid email ID and mobile number.
  • Choose your course (MD/MS/MCh/6 years, DM/6 years, or MDS).
  • Upload your photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.
  • An Exam Unique Code (EUC) will be generated. This code is required for further login along with your ID and password.

PGIMER Chandigarh Counselling

Counselling and seat allotment will be done in order of the INI CET 2026 cut off marks. Candidates must attend counselling on the date and time allotted to them.

All certificates and documents will be verified at the counselling center. The candidate must appear for counselling in person with all the necessary documents. No other person can appear on behalf of the candidate.

Counselling Process

The counselling process will be conducted in offline mode. Students must be present in person for the counselling.

The counselling will be held in four rounds. Seats will be distributed based on scores obtained in the entrance exam.

Only candidates shortlisted based on the Entrance Test will be eligible for the counselling process. They will be informed about their counselling schedule via email.
